I think Ann should make a simple recording of "happy birthday" and put it on youtube. That way, on each of our birthdays, we could play it and have the best birthday gift ever! Seems selfish of me I know...what can I say?
I've been appreciating her for 42 years. What d'ya think of that? (I saw Heart in their prime in 1978 at a community college field house with an audience of maybe 2000 people. I was 10 feet from the stage and it was one of maybe the top 1 or 2 concerts I've ever seen. I couldn't count the rock concerts I've been to since about 1970. The only bands who I would consider better... and I mean tight and sounding on stage better than their records was maybe the Beatles and Led Zeppelin.) As a live band heart was perfect and Anns voice would make your hair stand on end!
I love Ann and Heart. I noticed as she got older some of the songs started in a lower key. She's 68 now I guess I can understand. Some of those notes aren't as easy as they were in the day. Where is this from?.
Hey cat man this comes from a 2001 tribute. Pete Townshend and a whole lot more saluted The Beatles it was called a walk down Abbey Road I know this is a couple years when you commented but if you wanted to know that's the answer
I have to admit that when I saw the title of this clip I almost didn't play it--maybe because the song is such a classic, or maybe Ann couldn't pull it off. Shows how much I know! Wow! Ann is so respectful when she covers songs like this and Stairway to Heaven.
Ernesto Gasulla I think Ann, who was at this point 30 years into her career and trained by the famous voice teacher Maestro David Kyle (who taught the likes of Judy Garland, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, Ann Margret etc.), was qualified and knew what key was best for her here on this song.. So shut the fuck up, Opie.
