He'll sometimes manage to grab the star right at the apex of his leap, and the momentum is enough to actually drag the stick out of my hand. He'll then come crashing down, star still in his mouth and the stick ricocheting off things crazily, and land in a tangled heap. An instant later he'll be trotting back towards me proudly to show off his prize, dragging the stick behind him. I'm always so worried that he's actually hurt himself when he slams into things or crash-lands, but he's so focused on the star that I'm not sure he even notices! He's an awesome little guy - sweet and funny and energetic and cuddly. But he and our other cat (who loves to climb things and is a bit of a Houdini) have certainly given me a few grey hairs in their time!

Tuxedos are super affectionate, big "talkers", and constantly on the move. When they finally rest, they will plop down across your lap or next to you in bed, sleep for hours, while they snore😊

With consistency on telling them what isn't ok and a LOT of play, it will be a happy home ❤️ Sometimes it's just picking them up and moving them somewhere they are allowed, they'll learn it's a no-go zone (but like a child, they'll still do it behind your back if they really want to)
I took in a cat just like this! It took about 6 months to fully train her not to jump on things, bite, play too rough, and claw the furniture, but she is so good now.

Our Tuxedo, Mystic (who passed some years ago), got into all kinds of trouble: including burning half her whiskers off with a candle (said candle was up on the mantle, out of reach--we thought) and jumping into the toilet (while I was using it). But she was also the sweetest of our 4 cats, allowing me to cradle her like a baby, and I miss her every day.

My mom's cat was a tortoise shell and did all that an more. She loved walking railing, especially the very narrow wrought iron railing in the loft of a cabin in the mountains. That trick made even my heart skip a couple of beats.

Kissy she was really chill. She just lounge around. Anastasia she was a little silly. She liked hanging upside down on chairs. She also love sleeping inside the mattress in the guest bedroom. Snooky and Kissy love being outside in the backyard. Snooky love to sunbathe just like my mom. Kissy she like being in are small tree. Now Anastasia she was scared of being outside. But I miss them so much though. They pass away many years ago.

That's a great idea. It only has to be shorts. You did a great job with this video -- videoptaping it, finding appropriate music to set the mood for different scenes, narrating your observations and explaning the transitions, editing each "event" -- I absolutely love it. And that's not just because the love of my life was also a tuxedo. Mine lived to 20. Seeing baby Harriette reminds me of those days. I once had an aquarium whose only occupant was a goldfish named Adolph, due to the small black "moustache" on his upper lip. One night I walked into the living room to find my cat, who was still quite young at the time, standing on the rim of the aquarium. One paw came off and she reached down to take a swipe at Adolph. Because the reaching left her only on three legs and she had reached down too far, she fell in. Almost instantly, she rocketed out of the aquarium. I never had worry about her going in the aquarium again, but she kept a close eye on Adolph. One more thing -- she loved to play fetch with a small stuffed and catnip -filled sock. I can't have a pet where I live now, so, you can see why I would love it if I could experience your entertainment vicariously.

It’s frustrating that people get pets without researching how much effort it will take to care for them properly, but I’m glad this all worked out. That kitty loves her from the very start.
My cat never grew out of this stage and she played right up until about 15 hours before she died at 16. She lived with cardiomyopathy, pleural effusion and digestive issues yet she played like this everyday. 🥰

My late husband was a diehard cat hater for 33 of or 38 uear marriage.The last year's before he passed, he fell in love with a white 3 legged kitten that was abandoned in our yard.They were sulfates the love and awakening in the man from the love of this cat was a monumental joy to see!

All I can say is "Once you go cat,you never go back"! My late husband was a diehard cat hater for 33 of or 38 uear marriage.The last year's before he passed, he fell in love with a white 3 legged kitten that was abandoned in our yard.They were sulfates the love and awakening in the man from the love of this cat was a monumental joy to see!
