UPDATE: The specific surgery I had was a Bunionectomy with wedge osteotomy. Also, I’ve since had the surgery on my other foot and have filmed several more videos about that if you want to check those out. I made a bunion surgery video playlist on my channel where you can see all of those videos. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to answer all of your questions here, but I have many more recent videos that answer several of your questions. As always, thanks for watching :)
I had it done in 2003, and I am so glad I did. I can walk for miles now with no pain. Plus, my husband and I got engaged that year after he took care of me and carried me around when I couldn't walk. It hurt really bad, but a few years later it feels better than ever.
I had congenital curly toes, so basically my pinky toes curled under my other toes and when I wore literally any shoe or sock I would step on my pink toes. I always had this problem and was aware of it but it became horrible in college. my freshman year was very painful due to the amount of walking that is done in college. I had surgery to shorten and derotate both toes over the summer. it made the world of difference and I enjoy walking now. I know my surgery was less extreme and had less recovery but I would say that it is definitely worth it to get you feet fixed before college. your life will be much more painful if you wait til after college to be able to walk without pain. just get the surgery. my second year of college has been great, no messed up toes or painful calluses
I'm 63 and waited and waited and waited to have bunion surgery and you video was great to watch!!! Had surgery April 8, 2016 and am doing great! Hope your other bunion surgery goes smoothly and you are able to get it done sooner than later!!! Good luck, Grace!!!
Franklin Foote That's awesome that you had the surgery. My other foot was really bugging me today. I think I'm going to get surgery on it in a year or two and finally have no more pain from bunions. Can't wait! :)
Franklin, how long was your recovery?im on day 4 . I’ve had the worst pain ever for two days after op!I still feel it but the pain is manageable now. I’m a couple years younger than you and just wondered when you were able to get up and about ?
I watched three of your videos. Thanks for the indepth view. My surgery is scheduled a few weeks out so now I can plan for the shower issues you mentioned on your post op video. I am gonna suck at cruches but I only get out a few times a week for church so I'm hoping I can hop around mostly. Thanks for the support and prayers everyone who may read this and God bless you all.
I’m so glad I was able to help!! I’ve had both feet done now and I am very happy with the results! I am now pain free whenever I walk and run which is so amazing. I hope your surgery goes well and thank you for such a sweet comment
My two local hospitals only offered the old fashioned bunionectomy, which I did not want, as that procedure can result in bunions recurring in a couple of years. So I chose an orthopedic surgeon 20 miles away, as he had a great reputation for the latest, lasting technique. I am so pleased with the results on my left foot, he rotated the big toe joint, and used titanium plates and screws to hold it in place. My bones have fused beautifully with the hardware, and my scars are now a silvery thin line, after 6 months post procedure. I am having my right foot done this month. I do have a Knee Rover, as you can not put weight on the foot for a few weeks after surgery. I am 68 and my bunions were hereditary, as my mother had them. They are not from wearing high heel fashion shoes ! I am so looking forward to not having painful feet ! I no longer have pain in the foot that had the procedure 😊
I just had my bunionette surgery over a week ago (bunion on little toe) on my left foot. My toe was turning inward and down to the point I was walking on my toe nail. I was supposed to have a simple screw put in to hold my toe in place but instead my bones began to crumble during surgery and they had to put 2-3 pins in and a splint going through my toe top to bottom to hold in place. My pain is much better and I’m taking less pain meds. My foot looks great except for the swelling and my doctor said my bone is already starting to heal. I eventually need my right foot done for the same thing. Foot problems are a huge issue in my family and I wanted my surgery now while I’m young enough to recover best.
Grace Jennings can you run and workout without any pain on the surgery foot? and when were you able to workout daily? i have two bonion but only one foot hurt, not sure if i want to do a surgery to be honest :(
I had bunion surgery in June and again on December 8th (same foot, ugh! a bone had rotated as it was healing, so surgery needed to be repeated). X-rays show my toe is finally straight, yay! Thanks for making this video, I look forward to being 2 years post-op. Your right foot looks really great! I hope you are able to get surgery on your left foot, too, hang in there! :)
Lyn's Healthy Life thank you so much for the sweet comment! I am so happy with my choice to get my foot done. I hope your foot will heal quickly and you will be able to run around with no pain or discomfort. Thanks again for your comment. Have a great day :)
Hi Grace. I appreciated your update video. At 66 I am getting ready to have surgery on right foot. Left foot not affected. Have a Great Day! Cheers. Dan.
I had bunion surgery in March of 2014 on my right foot I have been great I do have a screw connecting my big toe and second toe to get my toes straight up instead of leaning towards the right . It's been wonderful
You’re very young to have this kind of problem. Sorry you had to go through all that but glad it was a success. Better to wear the toe separator than risk a relapse, especially since you are very active and prone to getting bunions. Take care of your feet 🦶
Daniel Scuiry I had it done on both feet at age 17 as a senior in high school. They’re hereditary and it was at the point where I was wearing granny shoes already in middle school due to the protrusion.
I had bunion surgery 13 yrs ago and had my foot in a surgical boot for 6 wks and I only had one scar at the inner side of foot. Im glad I had it done as it looks much better and isn't sore anymore.
I just had the surgery so I under stand everything u said about the pain I'm still in process of recovery I can't wait for the pain to go away for good
Dang this is crazy! I seriously had sugery like 6 -5 days after this upload! My bunion was no as bad as yours! Mine is healing pretty fast! I'm almost able to curl it like normal! But recently my foot has been killing like after playing sports and stuff but yeah! I'm still wondering when it will be fully healed
Danny Brown Yeah it takes a little while but it is all worth it in the end. Today my foot that still has the bunion was hurting so much! I really need to get the second one done soon. I hope your foot heals as nice as mine did! :)

...many podiatrists don't recommend surgery unless you're in a lot of pain? Am curious...is that why you had it? I've had bunions for years and they were more annoying than anything else, however they never stopped me from anything i put my mind to. I used to be slightly embarrassed by it and have accepted it. People worth knowing accept it too. Have led a long and active life with my bunions and so far so good. Doctors often recommend surgery because they are not the ones who have to live with the results of them. You have a good attitude and that's half the battle. Hope it helps. Good luck!
Thank you for such an encouraging comment!! I ended up having the surgery and made a few videos on it if you want to see but it worked out for the best and i am now pain free!!:)
I had the same surgery about 26 years ago. Just have a small scar along the top of the toe. Bunions are SOOO painful. Im so glad I had it taken care of.. About 4 yrs ago I had a torn rotator cuff, rt shoulder. So I had the surgery and fixed it. The worst healing process but well worth it. Now my left shoulder has symptoms of the same. So Ill be getting the surgery for that one too. It is unbearable pain at times.
Lelu Kat, Since your bunion surgery was 26 years ago, I was wondering if you've had any issues with the bunion going back? Or has it stayed straight all these years? I'm considering surgery this year. Thank you much.
MochaHammy yes I totally think you could. The only thing is you might be able to see it if it’s open toe. I got the surgery done and my doctor said you only really need to wear it at night when your sleeping:) I like to wear it with shoes too just in case!

Hi Grace, thank you for sharing your story. I am going in for my first bunionectomy surgery on Dec 20 where the dr will remove two bunions from my right food and then about 6 weeks later I will have my left foot done. I am also very active like you, I run and do spin every day of the week. I'm really scared about the recovery time and getting back to my normal activity. When did you feel like you could get back to your normal fitness routine? Also, were you able to swim during the recovery period? Thanks for any help!
Having mine done on May 30, 2018. I was wondering why you had a cast and not just a boot like I've seen in other videos? Was your surgery done in the US?
Hi Grace, about recovery... do you need to have your foot propped up a lot? I have the flexibility to work from home and am wondering how reasonable it is to be thinking I can do that after the first week?
Thank you! I had the second one done a few years ago as well! I have a few more detailed videos on that one and i recorded the healing process of my foot. Those videos are in my bunion surgery playlist if you want to watch them. But I hope your foot heals quickly and that you don’t have much pain :)
@@GraceJennings Just watched your other vids :) Yeah I had worst pain about week and a half after the surgery. Had my other bunion done about 7-years ago, was much worse than this opp. Glad your bunions are now sorted :)
@@GraceJennings Will do. Bandages came of yesterday and received a bunion splint. Had some swelling but used an ice pack which reduced the swelling by I'd say 70-80%
I have a mild bunion in the very beginning stages on my left foot. I don't even think it would be noticeable to someone else on first look. For being a mild bunion, it's surprisingly painful and sore. The first time I ever noticed it was after a 25 mile ruck march in the Army. Obviously it was in the works for a while and I don't believe that one event is what caused it, but that's when it got my attention.
MeeSeeks stop them now before they get worse. take to a good doc about the correct shoes to wear and talk to them about getting orthotics (insert in shoe) doing that will prevent bunions
aside from the bunion your feet look great! Nice skin and toes. Anyway Im developing bunions With a mild one on my right foot . Did you try toe seperator before it got that bad?
Hi Grace, I am contimplating whether or not if I should get surgery done on my bunion and hammer toe 'both' from my RIGHT foot. Nothing bothers me, and the hammer toe (Dr. says), is just beginning. My bunion does not hurt BUT... I don't feel comfortable with heels (which is a bummer). I also love to dance. I dance, so much! Thanks!
Catherine Esquivel:Wearing high heels are a major cause of bunions, especially if you do a lot of movement like dancing in them! Stay away from high heels and pointy shoes that crowd your toes together.
So you actually suggest surgery for those who suffer from bunion pain? I also play volleyball and it doesn’t prevent me from playing and living an active life but it is annoying and there are times where I just have to stop and let the pain subside.

no for the love of God do not. I broken a small part of my fifth metatarsal (pinkie) dancing. I suffered for 3 months with non weight bearing, it was very very inconvenient, tough on the mind and body, set me to bed for one month in bed rest, casts, depending on everyone to bring me stuff, it was a freaking mess and I will be merciful with my body from now on and especially my feet. I absolutely hated the entire period. so people out there reading it: unless you HAVE to do surgery because of a fracture, do not volunteer for surgery. there are risks of infection, blood cloths, skin infection, not to mention the god damn bed rest. no no no
alina3254 I feel you. It was a 3-4 months recovery for me until I was back to normal. But it was definitely worth it for me! I am very active and play sports and I have so much less pain now. The three difficult months have been worth it for the seasons of sports with no pain in that foot. I still have one bunion and it still hurts. I am probably going to do the same surgery for this one based on the results from last time. But you are right, there are always risks associated with surgery so everyone needs to consider what is best for them
well, I waited way too long to address mine and think I'm paying the price now. Both feet had bunions but due to a tibial plateau fracture 3 years ago and non-weight for 6 months my right foot carried all mt weight for almost a year. It became unbelievably painful, throbbing badly at night and prohibiting me from doing activities I enjoyed, like walking, hiking, etc. Finally had surgery this pastit is Nov. While it is much better, my foot I still have swelling from the surgery and beginning to wonder if it will remain thi way forever. Thankfully I have persevered with exercises and am seeing slight improvement. Lot less pain but still don't feel "normal" Hoping someday it will, I have a bunion on my foot that was involved with tibial plateau fracture, dislocated knee and torn meniscus . Non the less. the doc did say iy ma take a year b4 swelling is gone. Taking it day by day..
Thank you for your honesty. At 67 my family is against it so now I’ve made up my mind not to have it done. You made me feel like at my age I should enjoy life and enjoy the time I have left in life. I’ll just have a nerve block if it bothers me .
You should do the procedure for YOU , You are worth it ! How dare your family say they’re “ against it “ ! Perhaps they don’t want you to stop running around after them.
it took a little while for it to be able to flex. I don't remember the exact time frame so I am sorry but there are some exercises you can do to help. I still can't flex my toe up very far but it has improved a lot
Here in the Netherlands they speek about 6 weeks recovery. I had my scarfosteotomie surgery done 8 weeks ago. My foot is still a bit swollen. I have Every week physiotherapy session. IT is better to assume from half Year to 1 Year recovery Wish you all the best and good Lucky with your choice
Got bunions after stubbing my toes so bad I couldn’t walk for 2 weeks. It was bad but I was out of the country and didn’t have access to health car so I had to tough it out for awhile. Now I’m back and my left foot not so much the right has gotten so much worse, it’s hard to walk for a long period even if I’m wearing walking shoes/sneakers and my doc is saying to have surgery but I really don’t know what to do, trying to figure out if I’m able to fix it without surgery, :(
Angie A I am so sorry for the late reply!! It took me around 3-4 months to be back to normal. And it is a major surgery so it was painful but they will give you pain medicine to help. I have two other videos on my channel that explain more about the surgery and recovery if you want to check them out. Super sorry again for such a late response! Did you end up getting surgery?
jorge m It depends if u have insurance or not, and which company it is. When I got my bunion surgery back in February, my insurance company completely covered the cost of it. I’d say for one surgery though it might be about $4000, depending on who you go to and where your from.

Hi, now don't really hurt , i had it for long time, it hurts if i hit the bunion into something, now it went to my ankle, when i first got it it was really painful, now, hurts a lot when i hit something like the other day i trip at work with a pallet and hit the ankle on the wood. My right ankle is alway swollen i can't even see the bone any more
Thank you for the video.. I’ve been watching a lot of videos on bunions I’m getting surgery in 2 weeks on my right foot my left foot isn’t bad so that’s good but I’ve had this problem for a while now so I’m done dealing with pain but again it helps watching videos about this
I'm a kick boxer. Would having this surgery impact my career long term? I'm particularly concerned about the screws plates - though i have them in my jaw, and theres been no issue there

Hi dear Just had surgery 2 weeks ago I have a question - I really like high hills - will I able to do it with that scrue in my toes ) How does it feels on hills? Thank you
Hi Actually first day was no pain - then all first week after was very bad ( I could not sleep. But I am very sensitive person. Second week was better if I do not wear boot - with boot I could not avoid pain at all - so if doctor tell you, that you can be without the boot - and you know you ll be careful getting around your house - do not were it at home - only outside. Also 1 more tip - crutches is not really good thing to have if you can not step on your foot (if you do only one leg) - rent the scooter for one leg - it is like 66$ a month and you ll have much better mobility around your house and outside. (I am speedy mom now - we fighting it even together some times)But first week I had a lot of pain from crutches too - my right leg was so tired and my underarms was very sore and pain. Feel welcome to ask any questions )
Julia Ampofo I got the surgery for pain reasons. I am very active and it would hurt for me to go on a walk. I would constantly have to "pop" my bunion to ease the pain. The recovery for my surgery was 3-4 months but by the end of that I was able to go right back into soccer. My surgery had 3 incisions in my foot and I was put into 2 casts during the recovery process. I have two videos on my channel talking more about that if you want to check them out. Hope this helped!!
Most people dont get foot surgery for cosmetic reasons because the recovery sucks. most major foot surgeries have you non weight bearing for several weeks. you can forget showering, walking, living a normal life, et cetera, for quite awhile until you fully heal. and most major surgeries like that, it takes a full calendar year to heal.
Does anyone know why she had to have bunion surgery so young? I thought it’s normally much older people who have this problem and get this surgery. Thanks.
i am 16, and i just got like a week ago:) it is most common in young athletes, or hikers. it can be cause by a constant strain on the balls of your feet, causing a malfunction on the bone. I am a softball player, catcher, and i have to use my feet a lot, and have been playing since i was 4. that is what causes it:)
Hey!! I am so sorry for taking so long to reply!! I deleted my Instagram a little while ago, but feel free to reply here and I will do my best to respond asap and try to help :)
@@GraceJennings hi no problem at all!! My only question really is about the flexibility because that’s one thing I’ve had a hard time finding on UA-cam, but of course I’m so thankful for everyone who’s made videos including you. They comforted me so much and now I’m not even nervous for the second foot. But yeah just my main concern is flexibility downward-it’s gotten better but I was wondering when your foot felt “normal” with no more swelling or tightness anywhere. I know everyone’s different and it’s not a major concern bc Ik it’ll go down in time but I was just curious. Thank you so much!!
@@avaelysedo25 my flexibility is nearly back to normal. If I try to hold it down or flex my big toe down for a long while it gets a little shaky. But it doesn’t interfere with my daily life and I was able to play soccer soon after both of my surgeries which I think definitely helped with the flexibility and getting them back to normal. As far as the swelling... I don’t quite remember how long it took exactly, but I was able to get my foot into a soccer cleat 4/5 months after surgery which means it was about back to normal then. I hope this helps!! :)
@@GraceJennings Thats awesome thank you so much!! I’m 16 weeks out for my right foot and in 2 weeks I’m able to jump/run and it feels great so far. Thank you for responding I appreciate it!
I had chevron bunion surgery on my left toe in 2016 then had the right foot done in 2017. About 8 months inbetween. I'm a young 61 but recovery was slow for me. Foot swelling for a good six months. My doc said 2 years for complete healing. I can still see a red scar on my right toe. But there's no pain. I do have toe cramps at night. But the shape of my feet is nice and pain is gone. I would say 50's and 60's have a slower recovery. Ann
I so appreciate you sharing your recovery story! Each person’s is a little different and it’s so helpful to have different experiences shared on here so others can see! Thank you again! :)
I had a bunionectomy 11 years ago on my right foot and I regret it. It never healed right and I can't wear high heels to this day. My feet are an absolute mess but have been even worse lately so I am going to talk to a foot doctor this week. It's painful to even walk right now.
Bobby Luna My recovery was around 3-4 months. I was placed into two different casts and then a walking shoe during the process. I had a surgery with three incisions so the recovery took a while. By the end though I was able to start playing soccer right away after around 4ish months. I have two other videos that go into more detail about the surgery and recovery if you want to check those out. Hope this helped!!
bobby lincoln I dont know what to do im scared im 14 and it hurts I stepped out of the metro and I couldn’t walk and I have it FOR A long time but I dont want surgery
I am wondering. How does a young person like you wind up with bunions. This is an affliction of older women who have spent years abusing their feet using high heels and other ill fiting shoes. Do bunions run in your family.?
Really please tell me how I am 11 and hace sighns of bunions and get pain and the bad thing is i loce my sport and i am so good at it too i play netball i play touch and do little athletics. I do not want horrible looking bumps on my feet😤
E Tar: High heels are a major cause of bunions. Why would you want to wear heels after surgery? Don't waste your time getting surgery if you keep doing things to damage your feet. :(
david colledge I did about a year ago. I have a few more videos uploaded now with some updates. I made a Bunion Surgery playlist with them all if you want to get more info
I'm 14 and I have bunions on both feet... they don't hurt at all unless I roller skate for hours on end. but is there any other way to get rid of them besides for surgery? they just make me very self conscious at the pool and at water parks and stuff
+CatmanOfJustice If they don't hurt then I would say just leave them. But if they start causing problems then you may want to look at the options. You could try a toe separator or bunion brace for at night so they don't get worse. But again if they don't hurt then I would leave them.
Brenda Vargas I'm actually quite tall and not a big fan of heels. I have never worn a pair to an event. I'm more of a comfort over fashion person lol. But I have tried some on and it works with the surgery foot but my bunion foot is not the best in heels...
I have made several other videos talking specifically about the surgery. This video was just an update. There is a playlist on my channel with the rest of the videos if you want more information on that actual surgery. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps! :)
Amal Hassan I’m not her but I’ll give you my opinion on this considering I got my done in February this year. I do not suggest getting both done at the same time UNLESS they hurt you that bad. It was a pain for me to get around on one foot, yet alone getting two I bet would be a struggle. Before I got a scooter every time I had to go to the bathroom was a struggle. I had to make sure my foot did not touch the ground at all causes, which was hard. Plus each time I had to go to the bathroom I had to put my boot on. I especially don’t recommend getting both done if u have to attend school. It took me about 3 months to be able to just walk on my foot with a boot, on top of getting an at home tutor for 2 weeks because I was not able to attend school due to safety. Since I’m not an expert, I suggest talking to a podiatrist before making any big decisions. (Btw before I got the scooter I used crutches). Also another thing is the recovery for the foot. I am still not able to completely move 2 of my toes, which sucks. One thing that made me upset was I would see all of my friends hanging out together, but I couldn’t because I was basically bedridden. I hope this helped though 😊
Amal Hassan depending on your recovery time I suppose. If you are comfortable going around school with whatever you are using then sure. It’s all up to what you feel is best for you and what the podiatrist says is best.
Yes ,mine were... My father had a big bunion ,my dads brother also had a bunion . My fathers father also had a bunion, so i was just doomed to get a bunion i guess .... Thinking about having mine removed ...i have put up with my bunion a long time and i am actually developing another on my R foot.. i love different shoes but have been restricted in this area for many years . Well good luck all those during there bunion research ,hope this has helped in some small way.. Full speed ahead for me and i am in my 60's ....Good luck all with bunions

Let me know if you have any other questions! I will try to answer them as best as I can! :)
Grace Jennings can you run and workout without any pain on the surgery foot? and when were you able to workout daily? i have two bonion but only one foot hurt, not sure if i want to do a surgery to be honest :(
Grace Jennings i did not have pain until a year ago.
does the pain comes suddenly?
Grace Jennings: Did you have surgery #2?
Will you be ever able to wear heels? Bc I need to do it but I’m afraid I won’t be able to ☹️

Lyn Fernandez does it really hurt after ?
How did your bone rotate while healing ?
It's been wonderful
charli Fernalld I’m so glad you had a good experience as well! I am so glad that I got my surgeries as well. No more pain!!
I'm in the same boat, said I'd never get the 2nd one done. 2 years later I'm getting the 2nd foot done in November. - Good Luck with yours
I had bunion surgery 13 yrs ago and had my foot in a surgical boot for 6 wks and I only had one scar at the inner side of foot. Im glad I had it done as it looks much better and isn't sore anymore.
I’m so glad I got mine done too! Thanks for sharing your experience!!
He had a bunion on both feet. Had one removed. Will compare. Skip to 4:25 and save yourself some time.
SpikeWinsTV he??
I am glad you are planning to have surgery on your other foot. I have had both feet surgically improved. Your foot will only get worse.
I just had the surgery so I under stand everything u said about the pain I'm still in process of recovery I can't wait for the pain to go away for good
Me too I AM in week 8 post surgery.
My right foot is still swollen.
Get well soon✌
if you are in USA how mutch does one foot cost for that surgery please? because I have the same case

Lelu Kat m
Lelu Kat, Since your bunion surgery was 26 years ago, I was wondering if you've had any issues with the bunion going back? Or has it stayed straight all these years? I'm considering surgery this year. Thank you much.
@@doreensurtees1184I am 11 and think i should do it to because people say get it done as soon as possible but don't think my parents will agree
Also, the toe separator - i wear that now. The reason i wud get surgery, would b to not have to wear it.
But you're still wearing it....
Jimbob the reason I had the surgery was because of the pain! Horrible pain that woke me up at night. If I still need spacers that’s okay.0
Jimbob unfortunately, if you don’t want your bunion to possibly grow back you’ll have to wear it. It’s better than having a bunion though 🤷♀️
summer alivia Can you wear the seperator with heels?
MochaHammy yes I totally think you could. The only thing is you might be able to see it if it’s open toe. I got the surgery done and my doctor said you only really need to wear it at night when your sleeping:) I like to wear it with shoes too just in case!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I'm awaiting my first bunion surgery this year. (Both feet need an operation)
Hi, I was wondering what type of bunion surgery did you get. I'm considering a minimally invasive one. Thanks a bunch. :)
I play soccer and I have bunion on my left feet. I would like to know if I get surgery done than will I be able to play again.

I had my bunion surgery today on my left foot.
How do you feel so far? I hope all is well!! :)
Did you have to choose of which bunion surgery you should get? My doctor is giving me 2 options , but I don't know which is the best one
Hi Grace, about recovery... do you need to have your foot propped up a lot? I have the flexibility to work from home and am wondering how reasonable it is to be thinking I can do that after the first week?
Nice video, beautiful individual. Good luck for the second op. Just had bunion opp myself.
Spartan MBR I’m glad this one is going better than last time! I had a similar experience too! Keep us updated on how your recovery goes if you can :)
You can enlist in the army with bunions? I want to enlist but I'm worried that I will fail at meps due to my bunions
aside from the bunion your feet look great! Nice skin and toes. Anyway Im developing bunions With a mild one on my right foot . Did you try toe seperator before it got that bad?
The big question how much did it cost?
Those curtains make me think of Tide with Bleach, fresh spring scent.
Lol I love it
Hi Grace, I am contimplating whether or not if I should get surgery done on my bunion and hammer toe 'both' from my RIGHT foot.
I also play volleyball and it doesn’t prevent me from playing and living an active life but it is annoying and there are times where I just have to stop and let the pain subside.

how long did it take for the weeping to stop at the stiches ? its been 10 weeks and i still see some small weeping there..
no for the love of God do not.
Perhaps they don’t want you to stop running around after them.
two whole minutes of you telling us what you are about to tell us... dude just say what youre going to say.
Tiffany Voyd lol sorry!! I’ll try to make my intros shorter. Thanks!
Tiffany if you don't have anything nice to say ,how about saying nothing at all!!!!
It was good constructive criticism.
was your big toe super stiff? if so how long did it take to get motion? mine is still stiff after 5 months and doesn't flex at all
it took a little while for it to be able to flex. I don't remember the exact time frame so I am sorry but there are some exercises you can do to help. I still can't flex my toe up very far but it has improved a lot
I think the surgery is overrated unless its really severe. I dont regret doing the surgery but it definely not like a normal foot.
I have bunions and i love to dance. How many weeks do i need till i can dance if ever i get a surgery?
Here in the Netherlands they speek about 6 weeks recovery.
I had my scarfosteotomie surgery done 8 weeks ago.
My foot is still a bit swollen.
I have Every week physiotherapy session.
IT is better to assume from half Year to 1 Year recovery
Wish you all the best and good Lucky with your choice
Got bunions after stubbing my toes so bad I couldn’t walk for 2 weeks. It was bad but I was out of the country and didn’t have access to health car so I had to tough it out for awhile. Now I’m back and my left foot not so much the right has gotten so much worse, it’s hard to walk for a long period even if I’m wearing walking shoes/sneakers and my doc is saying to have surgery but I really don’t know what to do, trying to figure out if I’m able to fix it without surgery, :(
Are there certain shoes you can’t wear due to comfort?
Can I go for , minimal bunion surgery. AM a dancer , so Iam more concerned on post surgery . kindly give your experince on it thankyou tc
Hi I'm getting surgery done this month I was just wondering how long did it take for you to recover and was it painful after the surgery
I had bunion surgery, i healed from everything in 6 weeks no scars and walking , going to gym its awesome
Sabrina Placencia reassuring to read because I’m on day 4 post op .im worried recovery will drag on and on .
I have this problem in my right thumb my age is 70 should i move and go ahead for it
These could be 1/2 as long if you just got to the point!
does this surgery make your feet smaller cuz her right foot looks sort of smaller
Hi, thanks for this video. How much a surgery like this cost? Just to have an idea, i need it in both feets. Tks in advance
jorge m It depends if u have insurance or not, and which company it is.

I'm glad you healed well.
is bunion surgery really expensive?
like how many figures? just wondering 🤔
p.s. i don't have insurance
Megan Wiggins alright, thanks.
If you get a job with insurance it will cover it. Without it the surgery will be a lot not sure how much
Thank you for the video..

Do you still have to pop your toe with the foot that had surgery
No I haven’t had to since the surgery
how long did it take for you to start running with that foot again
Hi dear Just had surgery 2 weeks ago
I have a question - I really like high hills - will I able to do it with that scrue in my toes ) How does it feels on hills? Thank you

hi in going in this Friday how was the pain after wards
They put a screw in your toe?
O
Did you have big toe stiffness occur?
Did you do your surgery for cosmetic reasons or pain reasons and also how long did it take for you to start walking
Grace what's your instagram? I can't seem to find it :( I have some questions I want to ask!
Theres minimally invasive bunion surgury now
What procedure did you have done?
Where did you get the toe divider? And do you wear all day
My doctor game them to me and i wear them most days because I’m used to them now
I had a bunionectomy 11 years ago on my right foot and I regret it. It never healed right and I can't wear high heels to this day. My feet are an absolute mess but have been even worse lately so I am going to talk to a foot doctor this week. It's painful to even walk right now.
I am 11 and have bunions
hey I had a question how did you feel the first week when you got your surgery were you able to walk a little bit .and did it hurt
What age did you first develop bunions?
Shelley Cowan I’m not sure, but I remember having them in fourth grade because my fourth grade teacher had them too lol
@@GraceJennings Very young to have bunions !! VERY brave having them done... really like your video and your foot looks great !!
Shelley Cowan they are hereditary in my family... it’s annoying but I’m so glad that i got them both removed. thank you!!

I have 4 screws after my surgery I been in a cast for 4 weeks now I get the cast off hopefully july 3 hope is all well for you grace
bobby lincoln I dont know what to do im scared im 14 and it hurts I stepped out of the metro and I couldn’t walk and I have it FOR A long time but I dont want surgery
if you need surgery go for it
How many days you have slept in the hospital after the surgery ...or you don’t?
It was an outpatient surgery so I left soon after the surgery
I am wondering. How does a young person like you wind up with bunions. This is an affliction of older women who have spent years abusing their feet using high heels and other ill fiting shoes. Do bunions run in your family.?
NO NO SURGERY NEEDED!! YOU CAN FIX IT IN 2-3 WEEKS WITH EXERCISE!
Really please tell me how I am 11 and hace sighns of bunions and get pain and the bad thing is i loce my sport and i am so good at it too i play netball i play touch and do little athletics. I do not want horrible looking bumps on my feet😤
Not in all cases!
Can you still wear heels after the surgery?
E Tar: High heels are a major cause of bunions. Why would you want to wear heels after surgery? Don't waste your time getting surgery if you keep doing things to damage your feet. :(
When are you going to get the other surgery done
david colledge I did about a year ago. I have a few more videos uploaded now with some updates. I made a Bunion Surgery playlist with them all if you want to get more info
What does popping mean?
I'm 14 and I have bunions on both feet... they don't hurt at all unless I roller skate for hours on end. but is there any other way to get rid of them besides for surgery? they just make me very self conscious at the pool and at water parks and stuff
+CatmanOfJustice If they don't hurt then I would say just leave them. But if they start causing problems then you may want to look at the options. You could try a toe separator or bunion brace for at night so they don't get worse. But again if they don't hurt then I would leave them.
CatmanOfJustice me too im so scared I stepped out of the metro en i couldn’t walk
I have the same and with the other side of small finger
can you still wear heels?!
Brenda Vargas I'm actually quite tall and not a big fan of heels. I have never worn a pair to an event. I'm more of a comfort over fashion person lol. But I have tried some on and it works with the surgery foot but my bunion foot is not the best in heels...
The bunion surgery, when are you going to talk about it!?
I have made several other videos talking specifically about the surgery. This video was just an update. There is a playlist on my channel with the rest of the videos if you want more information on that actual surgery. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps! :)
Good doctor is god.
Great Job, tks for sharing
What's time to recovery
I just had bunion surgery yesterday.
How are you feeling?
Grace Jennings I’m alright. It hurts a little.
Im scared could you do it both at the same time
Amal Hassan I’m not her but I’ll give you my opinion on this considering I got my done in February this year. I hope this helped though 😊
jillian sujka but I have 2monts vacay
Amal Hassan depending on your recovery time I suppose. If you are comfortable going around school with whatever you are using then sure. It’s all up to what you feel is best for you and what the podiatrist says is best.
Was your bunions inherited?
Yes ,mine were... My father had a big bunion ,my dads brother also had a bunion . My fathers father also had a bunion, so i was just doomed to get a bunion i guess .... Thinking about having mine removed ...i have put up with my bunion a long time and i am actually developing another on my R foot.. i love different shoes but have been restricted in this area for many years . Well good luck all those during there bunion research ,hope this has helped in some small way.. Full speed ahead for me and i am in my 60's ....Good luck all with bunions
Two years seems like a long time smh..
Good afternoon from India
I like how your eyes match the color of your shirt.
Layla Nahar thanks haha. Didn't really notice but that's so cool!!:)
I feel soooooooo SORRY FOR U
I would think after surgery you would adjust your lifestyle
How so? It’s not my lifestyle that caused the bunions if that what you mean
you can walk after surgery?
It took a while and two casts and a walking shoe but I was able to walk eventually. It depends on how intense the surgery you need is.
i have a bunion too.
but i'm afraid of what could happen years after surgery.... :(
Tenki Ito: Don't worry about what can happen years after, lol..
can u use heels? if yes how much after?
Lorraine Moguel after major foot surgery, you can kiss your heels goodbye for about a year
Jesus maam you really great
Where you belong can i contact you
