8:49 This moment is just amazing. How both monsters use all their elements to kill each other, with Alatreon using escaton judgement and Shara using wind everywhere and crumbing a mountain over Alatreon
I'm surprised that Alatreon is able to hold its own against Shara so well. The flinching with the thunder Escaton Judgement And the explosions Even so, Shara's spam is absolutely ridiculous
not really this is pretty biased, he literally clutch onto alatreon head most of the time, so alatreon literally will not hurt shara unless shara gets close to alatreon while shara can just stay far away and laser all it wants.
@DIO Brando well it is pretty obvious, at the end, alatreon does not even attempt to target Shara, but instead swinging his head up and down, wiggling with the hunter on his head while Shara just take all the free hits.
I mean Shara also was missing many attacks. This system isn't perfect. And though alatreon had a clear advantage fighting Shara in its rock form and having like 8k health more. And the damage of shara's attacks is kind of accurate as they cut rock like butter.
@Aidan Yao I love both monsters and at the very least both fought very well. I mean Alatreon alone did way better than teo and luna combined. It just goes to show the difference in power between them.
I love how at the end even though alatreon was dead shara was still attacking him like he needed to make sure that unlike himself alatreon couldn't come back to life.
That's what I was thinking, he just started missing everything and attacking the air away from the monster, he could have won in like 3 attacks when he was at 200hp but he just kept on slapping the air
@E Y It might have been closer but the outcome would have most likely have been the same. The reason being both monsters AI were handicapped since they were not designed to target eachother. However, really the biggest deciding factor is Shara's tick damage.
@@isaacpotter3454 Shara was also constantly attacking nothing throughout the fight, so it's not just ala that is suffering from this issue. So I'm pretty sure the result of the fight would've stayed the same
Alatreon - Kick rocks! Shara - Fine. Now catch these hands. Alatreon - You have paws! Shara - Oh you thought these were wings? Alatreon - oh… those hands..
Yeah if I remember correctly, they do these by having a hunter mount each monster and then making the hunter invisible. That's why all the monsters attack randomly out of nowhere. This time ala was hit especially hard as it was just attacking repeatedly off target over and over. Plus it was in the air and couldn't spam it's lighting that it usually does at low health. The low health lightning spam really helps it in turf wars and it was hitting shara really hard.
Yeah seemed like the Hunter or hunters were on Shara's forelegs. And with Shara grappling onto the forelegs puts you pretty high up. I guess this was the best they could do, because it was either the head which is higher up, or the hind legs which would make Alatreon attack from behind more often which in this specific scenario could be seen as unfair.
@@bacula8424 Not quite. Shara's attacks aren't targeted and have a large hitbox. This isn't true for Alatreon because if its attacks had that kind of range and hitbox clearing the quest would be pretty much impossible.
@@makutascarlet3238 not all of Shara's attacks are like that, specially the ones that are triggered by the mount. Also alatreon hit Shara way more times, and it's not like it could have changed the outcome if it was changed though.
I wasn't expecting that, I thought Alatreon's lead in phase 1 was insurmountable, and Shara was getting flinched left, right and centre, but my lad pulled through. Every time Shara beam sniped Alatreon in the head, every time Shara combed his lasers along his winds and then later on was answered by ground explosions, I just thought "Get yours, nerd!" And Alatreon Escatoning only to be answered by Shara's Spirit Bomb was beautiful. And then the music coming in at the end to show the tide had turned and Shara was bringing it home, ah, beautiful.
That pointing thing that Shara did after defeating Alatreon is like him saying " You got hurt because you didn't master the earth/wind element, further more you are not the true master of the elements". Well thats what i think about him anyways cause Shara its one of my favorite monsters.
It seems that Shara Ishvalda's anti-Monster abilities continue to hold strong even against the mighty Blazing Black Dragon. I do gotta wonder if Alatreon would still lose to Kulve Taroth in the new format or not, though.

After looking through the video I'm assuming Alatreon actually wins if each of Sharas beams only hit for the initial damage rather than doing tic damage over and over. I'll do the maths later anyways, cuz I did the same on Kulve and Alatreon would've won that fight too if Kulves rain-the-ceiling-on-them attack didn't do tic damage, I'll update this comment afterwards even tho it's definitely gonna be the case. Then again lore wise these aren't even worth debating.
Realistically speaking, I feel like Alatreon would instantly wipe shara across the floor. Awesome video though, so interesting that Alatreon actually lost. Ruiner nergi vs shara would be interesting though because shara was killed by him in the cutscene but speaking in terms of HP and damage output, I really wanna see that.
That moment when Ruiner Nergigante kills Shara Ishvalda in the game but in another video gets stomped by Alatreon. And before someone says Shara was weakened, so was Ruiner Nergigante who gets butchered by us, then buried underneath as much as thousands of tons of rocks for like 30 minutes
The problem with Alatreon is so many of his attacks were missing and he just straight up wouldn’t dodge the incoming attacks. If monsters were coded to fight each other I think he easily could’ve won. Shara’s beam attacks were focused attacks that landed more often and do absurd damage
@Evan Zebrowski I think a lot of people saw it coming, but Shara is probably the second strongest monster in-game. I'm glad you enjoyed the video though
The main Problem in this fight is the fact that shara has so many attacks that ticks multiple times and doing a mass of damage, alatreon have a few too but they didnt tick that often.
@nB*Glave I gotta agree. as some one said on this comment section those moves seem to be based around fighting hunters using rocksteady mantle. which was pretty popular with most players.
If this was a tie, there would still be a loser that isn’t neither of them, its the environment, the carnage and destruction they would cause from using their abilities would be unfathomable
@Cracstheidiot 69 Good idea I'll experiment with this. I have a few ideas myself and we'll try to get a video similar to "Fatalis VS Everyone" eventually.
my boy Alatreon keeps losing once people enter phase 3. Must be really pissed. Also I enjoy these fights hundreds of times more than the monster hunter movie that one was freaking joke of a movie lol
I really don't get what is problem with the necessity of having to power scale monsters. I get the black dragon shit and all but do we just ignore that shara casually destroyed fucking mountains in the cutscenes by just walking underground? And that is literally the drive for everything that happens in iceborne? I mean is ok when talking about normal monsters or low tier elders, but when talking about higher tier elders at this point i don't even give a shit anymore about who is "StRoNgEr" those monsters are not supposed to be understandable by humans in the lore, kinda like eldlitch being, so it makes no sense powerscaling them anyway. (Also, I'm pretty sure first class dangerous monsters are not classified as the "strongest" mosters, but literally as the most dangerous. It makes sense, as alatreon dislikes life and attacks everything on sight, fatalis just straight up fucking hates humans and dire miralis is a walking volcano. But I mean, put one of those against a dalamadur, young or adult like those we see the skeleton of in the rotton vale, I doubt they will even try to fight it.) Now don't take this comment as a personal attack, I'm just bored that every fucking new big bad monster has to be forcefully put in comparison to the black dragons and catagorized as weaker for fucking reasons. Just let them exist on their own. Have a good day
In term of urgency, Fatalis awakening event literally made the Hunter's Guild to move and act anticipating the arrival of the Black Dragon. The thing was causing great forest fires and the resulting smoke from the burning materials is able to block the sunlight and darken the sky _(if you watch the videos about California forest fires, you will know how catastrophic it looks like),_ the sudden dissapearance of monters from their locales, even including Elder Dragons alike. And from the past games we know that something as big and heavily armored monster like Lao Shan Lung flees when it sense the danger coming. Its arrival upon Castle Schrade made the whole area to shake in small earthquakes even though Fatalis isn't an 'earth dragon' like Shara, whose literally evolved to be able to terraform the ground. Dangerous First Class monsters are containing the bunch of likely the most aggressive monsters in the series. The thing that will cause major destruction to the environments and civilizations moreso than other elder dragons. And the list haven't changed at all in MH 15th anniversary monster size chart, despite the previous MH titles literally have something like powerful Elder Dragons such as Amatsu, Nakarkos, Gogmazios, Dalamadur etc. Which can be only be means one thing, the Dangerous First Class monsters has the sheer aggresion moreso than any other elder dragons aside from also having such apocaliptic level of destructive power. High level of aggresion combined with their vast powers are what made something like Alatreon despite not related to Fatalis at all by looking at its physiology, got included in the bunch with Fatalis Trio & Dire Miralis. Of course that combination would & should make people think that the Dangerous First Class monsters are the strongest in general, compare to other high tier elder dragons which are not as hostile. It's the natural response when you see Odogaron pitted up against Legiana, folks will tend to choose Odogaron as the more deadly one, and red doggo might even win against Legiana due to the Sheer Agression it posses moreso than its opponent, despite both monsters are the Apex predator of their respective locales, aside from the native Elder Dragons. I dunno, I still could see one of the Black Dragons actually would dare to challenge something as big as Dalamadur as we have zero info nor indications that they would retreat and distance themselves when seeing a larger creature. As for the giant skeletons of Dalas found at the place, it is speculated that it was somekind of ancient relative, things in the past seems to grow larger in size compare to their still living counterpart nowadays, and I don't doubt that even the Dangerous First Class monsters might also have larger body size back then compare to now. Just like the skeleton of a dead Thunder Serpent Narwa or ancient relative of the serpents in MH Rise that can be seen at Lava Caverns locale, which seems to be bigger than the living Narwa herself that the players encounter. Now, I just want to make this comment as a humble & civilized response, and I honestly have somewhat the same problem. I'm also quite tired of seeing folks automatically compare and saying that this _"insert Elder Dragon's name here"_ must be definite stronger / deadlier than the Dangerous First Class monsters, each time a new MH Title came out. But hey, apparently that's just how it works in the community nowadays, can't be helped nor complaint too much about it.
I'm just saying, (other than Fatalis) shara has the most wins under his belt. I bet if kulve would be used more, it would beat shara. The reason shara does so good, is because with it's sonic beam it hits the opponent several times, really hard. I know that Fatalis has the most wins under it's belt, but when it comes to fair wins, shara is the strongest, seeing that it's obliterated every opponent with the exception of Fatalis.
I honestly doubt Shara would be able to take down the likes of Safi & Kulve gameplay wise. Merely because the former has its HP regen gimmick which is part of its kit, while the latter is a tick damage dealer like Shara. So far, only Alatreon & Fatalis are able to take down Safi with its HP regen included, even then, Alatreon barely win that fight, now Shara, with less total HP digit than Alatreon as we can see in this video, would have difficulty taking down Safi + HP regen. Fatalis technically is also a tick damage dealer if we count its fire cone breath, which if player or opposing monster failed to break its horns before the 2nd ultimate attack, it would spell doom to any monsters since the damage from the purple fire cone breath is just insane.
One thing I don’t understand about large elder dragons is. They expend so much bio energy when fighting yet they barely gain much from eating humans. Are the humans of MH that nutritional for them to risk getting killed by these tiny hairless monkeys ?
These fights always have some nice clips but the parts where the AI bugs out and a monster ends up attacking nothing are always brutal to watch. Especially with a close fight like this. There were so many times Alatreon would be attacking nothing while getting shredded. It was tough to watch him go out like that.
As much as I enjoy these most of the time I have to say that this one it was very apparent when Alatreon was repeatedly attacking “nothing” that the two monsters weren’t really 1v1ing, I know there’s only so much people can do to negate that cuz of how the monsters AI works but I’m just pointing it out as constructive criticism
Why did shara go into second Phase so early, is that realy how fast it reaches that State? It ended how I feared it would, multihit Beam spam. Probably 80% of its Damage was just the Beam. And Alatreon was again just attacking the Air, but I guess Shara did use a lot of physical Moves against the invisible Hunter to.
Well, it goes into the 2nd phase depending on how many times you break a part on it. The head can be broken multiple times, so if you get good hits on it the 1st phase is a breeze pretty much
@@Sunaki1000 Well, kind of a combination of both. But say you've been at it for a while and got in a lot of damage so far, you'd need to break more parts on it in order to go into the 2nd phase if you haven't already
@@RyukenAtrineas Yeah, I remember it used to do nothing at all, then MSS did some tweaking and got it to doing like 15 damage, now it does its total potential damage all at once.
What’s disappointing is that Alatreon very handily could have won here. He just kept making too many dumb mistakes. Like don’t let Shara hit you with his very easy to dodge air canon and stop fucking around in the sky and get back to fighting.

Such a close match! WOW!
I used to be terrified of Shara. I am still terrified of Shara
I love them both, I couldn't decide which one I wanted to root for. Amazing dragons!
Regeneration is one hell of a drug
Shara’s first phase is kind of a punching bag but his second phase wind attacks are deadly
The problem with Alatreon is so many of his attacks were missing and he just straight up wouldn’t dodge the incoming attacks. If monsters were coded to fight each other I think he easily could’ve won. Shara’s beam attacks were focused attacks that landed more often and do absurd damage
Son a of gun. My boi lost but shit that was awesome as usual!!! I need more Alatreon tho!!!
@Evan Zebrowski I think a lot of people saw it coming, but Shara is probably the second strongest monster in-game. I'm glad you enjoyed the video though
@@MonsterSlayerSquad he really is second strongest. But hell yea I did. Thank you for making such amazing videos
@Evan Zebrowski much appreciated for your amazing support
@@MonsterSlayerSquad I try my hardest
i love how Shara just goes insane when he opens the arena
The main Problem in this fight is the fact that shara has so many attacks that ticks multiple times and doing a mass of damage, alatreon have a few too but they didnt tick that often.
@nB*Glave I gotta agree. as some one said on this comment section those moves seem to be based around fighting hunters using rocksteady mantle. which was pretty popular with most players.
@@MonsterSlayerSquad True.
Toph vs Twinkle toes
If this was a tie, there would still be a loser that isn’t neither of them, its the environment, the carnage and destruction they would cause from using their abilities would be unfathomable
Alatareon first phase: I'm fighting a walking rock? How pathetic
Alatreon second/third phase: pleamse no moar sound my horns hurmt
Yes Shara won he is much better then I thought. Good to see him defeat Alatreon
Shara earth thing is op tho, even if in lore Alatreon is miles ahead, the laser beams of Shara just deals way too much damage
Alatreon needs to learn the secret of the “side-step”
My heart was beating fast when shara was about to lose 😅👍
@Unknown B A it was a pretty thrilling fight
やっぱり王の雫といいエスカトンジャッジメントの威力が元から対モンスターになった途端に低く設定されてるようにしか思えない。
弱体化無しに耐える等の動画で700ダメ以上は固定で確定している。
can you make acrh temperd zeno jiva vs altron?
I can't be the only one who noticed that EJ ACTUALLY DOES DAMAGE!
@Stygian Dragon yup 😁
@@MonsterSlayerSquad Sooooo... Wanna reconsider redoing all the turf war that involved Alatreon?
Prediction: Shara is going to win because of broken wind ticks
Edit: as expected, Shara wind ticks and spam are absolutely ridiculous
This is amazing
@pixel dino gaming thanks, glad you liked it
It was pretty close until Alatreon’s schizophrenia kicked in and he started attacking ghosts
8:50 Dis man really just said screw rocks.
PHENOMENAL!!!
@Toggle Mutt thanks
Please do behemoth next 🙏🏼
Hey MSS I have an idea for a video: all monsters (including alatreon fatalis safijiva xenojiva and behemoth) vs the dragon razor?
@Cracstheidiot 69 Good idea I'll experiment with this. I have a few ideas myself and we'll try to get a video similar to "Fatalis VS Everyone" eventually.
Well my first Alatreon kill was done with full Shara armor sets😜
@Arapaima Gold i guess thats 2 points for shara and 0 for alatreon noice!👍
my boy Alatreon keeps losing once people enter phase 3. Must be really pissed. Also I enjoy these fights hundreds of times more than the monster hunter movie that one was freaking joke of a movie lol
Legends of the Guild on Netflix was better than the “movie”.
The funny bit was that alatreon knocked Shara Ishvalda down but he kept missing and lost his chance to destroy Shara ishvalda
Yow! Face Xeno against Shara and we’d have a Health Melt Competition!
Fight went exactly as i thought, though Shara made it a bit too close towards the end. Normaly it spams the soundlaser way more often
Monsterslayer can you please do behemoth vs fatalis?
He was winning when shara has the shell but alatreon started losing because of the beams
I find it funny that the game has no regards to the lore, and makes shara like, the most powerful thing in the series.
Most powerful thing in the series? Have you seen the video of Fatalis vs Shara Ishvalda turf war?
Very marvelous monsters
It looked like alatreon kept bonking shara's head 😁
Even Shara Ishvalda was able to do something I was never able to do.
How do you get monster death match
One thing I don’t understand about large elder dragons is. They expend so much bio energy when fighting yet they barely gain much from eating humans. Are the humans of MH that nutritional for them to risk getting killed by these tiny hairless monkeys ?
upotsu ネタバレ注意
結果は予想通りだったが、思っていた以上にいい勝負だったな。第2形態以降も突進で超振動波を避けたり、連続でダウンをとったりで行けるか?と思ったがやはり多段ヒットが強かったな
These fights always have some nice clips but the parts where the AI bugs out and a monster ends up attacking nothing are always brutal to watch. Especially with a close fight like this. There were so many times Alatreon would be attacking nothing while getting shredded. It was tough to watch him go out like that.
Epic battle.
Let's be real if Shara didn't spam that air blast move every 2 seconds she would have lost
Is it possible to pit safi’jiva vs shara or fatalis
@Jordan Sample we do have a full fight between fatalis vs safi on our playlist: ua-cam.com/video/OWVf6GM3XEQ/v-deo.html
The head can be broken multiple times, so if you get good hits on it the 1st phase is a breeze pretty much
@@chadderbug7587 Its not Damagebased?
@@Sunaki1000 Well, kind of a combination of both. But say you've been at it for a while and got in a lot of damage so far, you'd need to break more parts on it in order to go into the 2nd phase if you haven't already
多段ヒットが複数本あるからそりゃ強いな
Fのエギュラスの群れなら勝てそう
そりゃF勢は異次元ですから…
Second time a black dragon got its ass kicked now. lol
Escaton judgement did a lot less damage to Shara then I was expecting
Given Escaton Judgment is a move specifically to tick down the Player's health, I was more surprised it did anything at all.
@@RyukenAtrineas Yeah, I remember it used to do nothing at all, then MSS did some tweaking and got it to doing like 15 damage, now it does its total potential damage all at once.
hey MONSTERSLAYERSQUAD!! DO MONSTER TURF WARS FULL BATTLES ON Monster hunter rise!!!!
Shara is such an underrated monster, this thing is incredibly powerful and it has basically infinite fuel!
AT KULVE VS SHARA
I really want you to do this stuff in rise. But sadly you cant.
What’s disappointing is that Alatreon very handily could have won here. He just kept making too many dumb mistakes. Like don’t let Shara hit you with his very easy to dodge air canon and stop fucking around in the sky and get back to fighting.
I don't understand why at the end alat starts attacking stupidly
