The data provided here wasn’t completely accurate. One of those ways does work, which is the last. But the other two do not work the way it was explained. But they could play a single player game using your profile, but YOU wouldn't be able to sign on or go online at the same time with the same profile in your area with your own switch?
After listening to this a few times sounds like all 3 ways are essentially all the same with the variation of primary account holder login, and profiles, and how they are set up on certain switches? Yes no?
So my biggest issue with this is not being able to play games offline on Switch B. Is there a way to designate certain games on my account to always work on Switch A and other games always work on Switch B (when offline like on an airplane)?
Option 2 seems like the best over all.. all you have to do is make 3 profiles. Profile 1 is shared across both consoles and only makes purchases. Profile 2 and 3 are not shared at all so everyone has their own saved data. This makes it so both consoles can buy games, but minimize the chance of messing up someone’s game data. Example- ⚫️ (shared account) 🔵🔴(individual accounts) both consoles have access to ⚫️ to purchase whatever but have no access to the individual ones.
I get what you saying so you got 2 switch lights, you make 1 primary profile to make the purchases but that primary account must be connected to both switches. Then both switches make their own profiles separate from the primary to avoid any data mixups.
The only problem with your solution is that profile ⚫️ can only be set as primary account for switch A only. Switch A can play games and have its own saves using profile 🔵. However, switch B can ONLY access the games using profile ⚫️. Switch B cannot play the games using profile 🔴 as profile ⚫️ is already set as the primary account on switch A.
@@DripMediaGamingyou “can” ONLY if 1) the non-primary is playing on the “main profile” (the OG profile) on the second switch. I have a single question maybe you can help me... since I have 2 switchs and one account link to both of them, Can I add a second account to the primary switch without linking the games to the second switch????
What happens if all the games are on my daughters profile and switch and I want to buy a new switch and make my own profile and take a few games from my daughters profile to my new profile???
I have 2 sons and they’re constantly fighting over the switch. So I thought it’d be smart to buy a 2nd switch so they could each play and not have to fight over one. Nintendo has made this process so confusing to play the games I’ve paid for that I no longer even want to support Nintendo. The level of greed is unreal.
Why is it that when I go to my friends house (the one I’m gamesharing with) I can’t playing games on MY account on his switch? My account is added ofc, but say when I go over to hang out and play Switch Sports, it says I can’t select my account. He owns the games too. On my switch tho I can select his account on MY switch tho. Any tips?
So if my brother has a switch and his own account and I have my own and we create accounts on each other switches would tht work as long as we have wifi when we want to use each other accounts
I have a switch lite but am considering a new OLED so how would I transfer my progress and play between both of them? Do I just add my account and that’s it? Would that allow me to play the same game with the same progress on both?
I have a question, i have 2 switches and have the same profile on both of them, i have the physical copy of zelda and only ever play it on one switch, never tried playing it on the other, if i took the card out of the first switch and put it in the second one and played with the same account, will it restart everything? will my data be deleted?
Let's say Me (A) and my Friend (B) wanna share games... i bought the game in my primary switch (A), i will deregister, and my friend will register in the switch (B) with my account (A), he than downloads the game, and creates a save file on his first account (B) than proceeds to deregister, I log in again with my original account (A) in my switch (A) and name this the primary switch again. Will my friend still have access to the game? Keeping in mind he has the game downloaded and he will enter with another account. Will I get to start the game? Will we both get to play online together?
Option 2 makes sense for me. So if I try to become primary again my friend/family will have the games downloaded but unable to play since it will check online that they did not buy it. So what about when I am secondary (since I am sharing my games) and I play a physical copy of game, will it still do the online check?
What if you are connected temporarily to the WIFI and then all of the sudden, you lost the internet. Will you be disconnected from the game let's say you don't have WIFI? It's like all shared games will be accessible ONLINE only. Thanks in advance!
I get the impression that if you’re logging into your account remotely, that when you open the game it will verify your license at the start and then will work for the duration of play. Question would then be, at what point does it re-check? Maybe good until the game is closed down and restarted or some idle time.
The only thing I'm trying to do is share with my wife she a game that I want and I have a game she wants.. This is why I only get Physical Copies most of the time.. But sometimes there are games that are only Digital and I don't want to buy two Copies
i did the second method where you switch primary accounts. but i’m the person who own more games, so i always do need internet to play. unfortunately iphone 13 pro max hotspot doesn’t work with switch, i’ve tried others 13 pro max in apple and doesn’t work.
Thanks a lot mate. So what I've been doing before is not bannable right? Using my primary acct on my nephew's NSW. Im not using NSW online subs so Im not worrying about cloud saves😁
banned will occur if you share your account to more than 4 switches (not exactly sure because its a case-to-case basis) and aren't in the same proximity area of the primary user (different region or country). also if there are several concurrent users accessing the primary account (regardless of playing same game or not). this will trigger Nintendo that the account maybe sold to several users or was hacked. so never share your account info in forums or online.
I bought the expansion pack for my switch and the expansion pack comes w/ Animal Crossing DLC. Bc I transferred my island to my switch and hers is the primary, which animal crossing was purchased. It says on my switch that I technically do not have the “downloadable content” but i do, but it was transferred. Bc of this, it says i cant download the DLC. What should i do in this situation? I want to de register her switch as primary but i dont want her to lose her island and progress. Help please

Example: She plays digital animal crossing on my 1st switch on her account while i play octopath on my account on 2nd switch. Thanks in advance!!
So on step one: once “Person A” makes “Person B” switch the primary for “Person A”, will “Person A” still be able to play the games on both “A & B” switches or just “Person B” switch?

I still don't know how to do this but thanks for the video
I'm trying to figure out how I can share game with 3 switches and everyone have their own profiles and saves? Which would you recommend?
Buy a game for each. Its what game companies want you to do.
This is really complicated I just wanted to game share with my boyfriend
I went cross eyed watching this 😆
What I’m basically hearing is that I should just buy the
cartridges and done
Bro I just wanna share my data from my oled switch to my switch lite so I can play my game on the go an not worry about messing up my expensive console
Well, from what i gether probably the friend will have to log in my account and use Internet, and we wouldnt be able to play together
@@jtny_I was watching another video where someone said it’s 3 hours and you get a 2.5 hour warning before it checks again at 3.
Ain’t PlayStation the same thing with internet I game share with me brother I don’t have internet my games get locked
The only thing I'm trying to do is share with my wife she a game that I want and I have a game she wants.. This is why I only get Physical Copies most of the time.. But sometimes there are games that are only Digital and I don't want to buy two Copies
Your first explanation was actually how PlayStation do game sharing, I think.
i did the second method where you switch primary accounts. but i’m the person who own more games, so i always do need internet to play. unfortunately iphone 13 pro max hotspot doesn’t work with switch, i’ve tried others 13 pro max in apple and doesn’t work.
Are u two able to play the same game at the same time?
@@TheDee74 yes, we even play overcooked together
Thanks a lot mate. So what I've been doing before is not bannable right? Using my primary acct on my nephew's NSW. Im not using NSW online subs so Im not worrying about cloud saves😁
banned will occur if you share your account to more than 4 switches (not exactly sure because its a case-to-case basis) and aren't in the same proximity area of the primary user (different region or country).
also if there are several concurrent users accessing the primary account (regardless of playing same game or not). this will trigger Nintendo that the account maybe sold to several users or was hacked.
so never share your account info in forums or online.
@@wylerXL I’m trynna do it with my gf she’s in LA and I’m in NY will I get banned ?
@@hoodedknight360 it depends how many gfs do you have ;) (dont know)
I bought the expansion pack for my switch and the expansion pack comes w/ Animal Crossing DLC. Help please
Can you deregister and register a primary console and non primary console on different switches as many times as you want yourself on Nintendo eshop ?
Someone just kept telling me you can have other family members play your games if their account is on your family plan but ive never seen a video of some mentioning it, is it true?
I lost you every single step
He explaining with his hands… it makes no sense
Great vid
Question: let’s say I game share idk Mario Kart? Can they play on 2 different profiles at the same time and play against each other? If I do option 2.
Yes you can do this, that's what I do to play Luigi's Mansion online
@@y.ujisanat the same time tho?
Anybody just get the notification saying that you didn’t buy the software
I am sure this has been asked a million times, so sorry in advance... Can my daughter play on her account (not mine) a digital game that i purchased on my account on my main switch, and i play another game on the second switch on my account? Example: She plays digital animal crossing on my 1st switch on her account while i play octopath on my account on 2nd switch. Thanks in advance!!
So on step one: once “Person A” makes “Person B” switch the primary for “Person A”, will “Person A” still be able to play the games on both “A & B” switches or just “Person B” switch?
either people can both play the games but the secondary switch needs to use the account that bought the game and be connected to the internet
@@blakethenoobie1433 so this method won’t work if I have two kids profiles and want each on a different switch. My profile(3rd one here) is the buying acct. one of them can only play w my acct right? As you noted the non-primary console must play with account that bought game. Thanks!
@@bobapower99 yep that's how it works glad I could help 😁
If I'm a user on my brother's family plan with expansion pack. Can I play with my profile on my boyfriends switch
Is there a way if you don't want to game share between the 2 switches to restore both switches to there original forms
With method 2 Do you know if person a and person b people can play the same game at the same time?
I think that they have to use different profiles if both consoles are online.
But yes.
@@thorbjrnhellehaven5766 so just like PS4 right?
@@ManuMiAS how would I know? I never played PS4? I played quite a bit PS1 back in the days, but I believe they are different...
