True story, when i saw BvS in theatres and the movie started someone yelled "Ben Affleck was the bomb in phantoms yo!" And the like 10 or 15 of us who got it all laughed lol
I don't always want messages in a movie if I'm honest. Sometimes I just want entertainment for it's own sake. This was funny and it's all I needed it to be
Thank God Tim liked this one cause when everyone else was saying how much they hated this one I almost felt ashamed cause it's one of my favourite Kevin smith films
I think the criticisms that this movie just felt like they were just trying to sequelize the View Askew to wrap it all up is something I feel life strongly in Reboot than I do this. While this film isn’t really about anything, I agree, I think it’s the culmination of this universe in the way Infinity War/Endgame was to the MCU. It really feels like a finale that ties everything together
Anybody who's watching this that hasn't watched the blooper reel for this movie, it's worth watching especially for the last minute with Matt+Ben doing the good will hunting stuff. Been rewatching this for almost twenty years and it still cracks me up every time ua-cam.com/video/qZMcE8PY-kY/v-deo.html
Definitely agree with Tim on this. The best Kevin Smith film so far. The movie succeeded in delivering exactly what it wanted to be... a dumb fun comedy full of meta references and zany gags.
I get that Greg’s got history - but seriously, he luvs talking about himself. At least he also likes hearing stories about himself as well. Perfect for doing a one man panel.
I do kinda wish thet did every Kevin Smith movie, because i liked Jersey girl and would like to see what they thought of it. Then Red State and Tusk but then Yoga Hosers would be bad, but Zack and Mirri Makes A Porno is kinda in the Askewniverse because of Reboot, but i understand why they don't do it.
I feel the same as Greg. Im his age and adored KS films and this one felt very silly. The first few were silly to an extent, but also smart. This movie feels dumb.
the only thing i remember from dude wheres my car is the wow youtube series called dude wheres my mount. i thought that shit was the funniest thing i'd ever seen when i was 15
I'm sorry guys but after Dogma I quit this series. I can't force myself to watch anymore lol. But I will definitely watch the In Reviews. Also happy birthday Kevin!
lemme rank Kevin Smith movies here: 1 Clerks 2 Chasing Amy 3 Tusk 4 Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back 5 Dogma 6 Mallrats 7 Red State 8 Clerks 2 9 Yoga Hosers 10 the porno flick or jersey girl...don't really matter...they both suck. oh yeah...forgot Cop Out...but that one sucks too.
Gay jokes can be funny guys, don’t be so damn sensitive, its ok, we know you’re not homophobes, just relax and have a laugh. Shit. But i guess you are the crew who shunned your friend for a joke 😔
i enjoy watching 5 straight guys talk about what gay jokes are and are not offencive. I'm a Bi latino male in my early 20s and i thought this movie was just as enjoyable to watch as when it was when i first saw it. idk why you guys are offended by jokes that aren't about you or your sexual preference
ehh... I don't feel like I need to be gay to care about my gay friends and to know that "gay" being used as a slur hurt them. Just to be clear, im not offended by this movie at all, there's clearly no malicious intent. I laughed my ass off. That being said, it was a little cringey when it was gay joke into gay joke into gay joke. Not because Kevin Smith is a bad person... but it's just so lazy and careless.
I saw J&SBSB at the regional premiere (whatever that means) at the Paramount in Austin about two weeks before it came out, and the place was fucking PACKED with View Askew fanboys. The movie killed, obviously, but Kevin's Q&A afterward just burned the goddamn place down. I didn't see it again until it hit DVD, when all of us who were there got together to watch it again...and it was then that we realized (well, all but one of us realized) that it's not a good movie, and it's not particularly funny. It has moments, for sure, but by an large it's exactly as Nick said, it just lacks any of the heart the earlier VA movies had. It's just jokes, and not particularly good jokes, start to finish with no breathing room.
This was my least favourite View Askew movie until Reboot came out. I feel like he was moving in an interesting direction with Red State and Tusk but his comedy isn't working for me anymore.
True story, when i saw BvS in theatres and the movie started someone yelled "Ben Affleck was the bomb in phantoms yo!" And the like 10 or 15 of us who got it all laughed lol
I love that lol
That look of concentration on Kevins face as he fixes Andy's window... i hope this doesn't awaken anything in me
Too late, you're horny for the Big Kev Dog
REawaken, you mean?
The look of Andy when he really is concerned about Judd Nelson getting away with ruining his daughter's future is PRICELESS. like "How is this ok!?"
I don't always want messages in a movie if I'm honest. Sometimes I just want entertainment for it's own sake. This was funny and it's all I needed it to be
Nick the white Knight of “Dude Where’s my Car?”. He clearly was apart of that “Zoltan” group.
ZOLTAN!
This is definitely my favorite one for many reasons.
This was the Greatest Crossover before Infinity War
Thank God Tim liked this one cause when everyone else was saying how much they hated this one I almost felt ashamed cause it's one of my favourite Kevin smith films
my first kevin smith movie i ever watched its nice watching it now after the previous movies to get all the tie ins and extra jokes
Tim is right on this who cares if its just a fun movie without a passionate message? Not every movie needs to have a message
Love the random Dude Where’s My Car shenanigans in here.
1. Chasing Amy
2. Clerks
3. Dogma
4. Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
5. Mallrats

The first 15 minutes of this movie is amazing. There are other great moments, but it doesn't quite top the first 15 minutes.
Tim: Hell yeah this movie is #1!
Everyone else: Can't believe anyone would like this homophobic valueless trash
Tim: ...
#TimWasRight
Tim about to be Colin’d for this
Greg and Kev scared me at the end there with the possibility of this being ranked below Mallrats, but I'm glad justice prevailed
Mallrats is my favorite one lol
Rewatched this movie for the first time in at least a decade and I cant wait to hear the KF discussion on it
You guys are insane, this is one of the best ones.
I haven't liked much of the View Askewniverse, but this has been one of the most fun and interesting IN REVIEWS yet 😂 👏. #Whosecarwasit
This might be the most quotable movie of all time for me.
I’m not done listening yet but had to jump in... Nacho Libre is awesome. Don’t try to convince me otherwise.
Nacho Libre is hilarious!
Definitely agree with Tim on this. The best Kevin Smith film so far. The movie succeeded in delivering exactly what it wanted to be... a dumb fun comedy full of meta references and zany gags.
1. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
2. Dogma
3. Chasing Amy
4. Clerks
5. Mallrats
This is one of my favourite movies ever. Its so stupid. But I laugh every time and can watch it over and over again
I get that Greg’s got history - but seriously, he luvs talking about himself. At least he also likes hearing stories about himself as well. Perfect for doing a one man panel.
Happy belated birthday Kev, you are my spirit animal xx
Best line of this review. Kevin: "who's car is it"(in reference to who's the lead in the far superior movie " Dude Wheres my Car?"
Of all the words to misspell on a KINDA Funny video...
VooDooChild6971 Well I was drunk while writing it.
Tim’s shirt is dope af. HBD big Kev Dawg. We share a bday.
Do you guys plan on doing tusk and jay and silent bob reboot?
Can't wait for this.
Don't worry about your cameo Greg. Literally the exact same thing happened to Chrisy Teigen in Tokyo Drift.
I feel the same as Greg. Im his age and adored KS films and this one felt very silly. The first few were silly to an extent, but also smart. This movie feels dumb.
I would definitely watch a Dude Where’s My “Car Talk” show from KF...
Night at the Roxburry is a classic. Also, you have to add Ladies Man to that list.
36:24 i died laughing
Did you guys watch the scene with Jay and Silent Bob in Scream 3?
"Dude, Where's My Car?" in review please, we need this now
I agree with Greg as a stoner movie it's a great movie but as a Kevin Smith View Askew movie it's lacking substance
I mean...it’s got prime Shannon Elizabeth in a catsuit. What are we even debating here?
Are you guys doing Jersey girl I thought that was view askew as well?
Dude Where's My Car in review?
1:28:12 Greg's utter distain for the other 4 dudes right here.
Honestly I think Nick is the only person that watches That 70s Show as much as me and my wife
the only thing i remember from dude wheres my car is the wow youtube series called dude wheres my mount. i thought that shit was the funniest thing i'd ever seen when i was 15
Remember the MCU when movies were good, fun, enjoyable I miss those times
Funny fact: I love Nacho Libre, but I know what it is. I'm not out here calling it a masterpiece.
Are they reviewing Tusk?
These dudes were looking way too far into this movie... it's meant to be a stupid, funny movie and that's exactly what it is.
Anyone know where Tim got that sick hat?
Even tho you couldn’t see his hair cuz of his hat, I can already tell tim looks much better with this doo
Now that he took his hat off, i can confirm it does indeed look better
This movie was awesome
Did they fuck up the ranking at the end? Based on the votes shouldn't it be above Mallrats?
Nick Cage in review pls! Review each of his movies and rank wich cage is best.
I'm sorry guys but after Dogma I quit this series. I can't force myself to watch anymore lol. But I will definitely watch the In Reviews. Also happy birthday Kevin!
Doesn’t the clerks/ LOTR debate come from clerks 2?
Who else watched this movie on a zune in a courthouse?
Does this guy have 250k subs yet?
how can I get a hat like tim is wearing?
Magnolia is a brilliant film!
Greg is visibly annoyed at everyone else.
You must stop with the "Dude, Where's My Car" slander.
You guys HAVE to do Dude Where's My Car In Review now.
36:20
lemme rank Kevin Smith movies here:
1 Clerks
2 Chasing Amy
3 Tusk
4 Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
5 Dogma
6 Mallrats
7 Red State
8 Clerks 2
9 Yoga Hosers
10 the porno flick or jersey girl...don't really matter...they both suck.
oh yeah...forgot Cop Out...but that one sucks too.
These guys crap on all of his movies.....why did they watch them?
Orange County was fucking great
Geez. Someone get Tim a graphic lol
Orangutans are not monkeys
Gay jokes can be funny guys, don’t be so damn sensitive, its ok, we know you’re not homophobes, just relax and have a laugh. Shit. But i guess you are the crew who shunned your friend for a joke 😔
I just started watching these guys. What's the drama? lol
i enjoy watching 5 straight guys talk about what gay jokes are and are not offencive. Why are you guys wearing Caps inside the House !!!!!!
Americans are weird. They also wear shoes in the house. :P
I think the girls spoof Charlie's Angels
...AND THEEEEEEN?????
I don’t know if I can stand by this Nacho Libre slander.
1:40:00
Clerks 3
red state is the best movie hes made
Oh I thought it was about Silent Rob.., not silent bob lol
Anyone else watching in 2023?
I saw J&SBSB at the regional premiere (whatever that means) at the Paramount in Austin about two weeks before it came out, and the place was fucking PACKED with View Askew fanboys. Worse than Beastmaster 2
Can we finally put to rest that these movies are nowhere near as good as LOTR.
This was my least favourite View Askew movie until Reboot came out. I feel like he was moving in an interesting direction with Red State and Tusk but his comedy isn't working for me anymore.
When will these Kevin Smith inreviews end....
Only two left: Clerks 2 and Jay & Silent Bob Reboot.
In 2 weeks I believe. All that’s left is Clerks 2 and then the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.
This movie is terrible, easily Kevin Smith’s worst outing to me.
