European Portuge sounds more like Russia
They more sounds like a french dude speaking spanish hehe
He said that because "estou" in portuguese european, sounds more like "что" in russian
@@francis802us like mix of French and Russian
@@noselol4371 not because of that, phonetically it sounds russian sometimes
@@gringo6362 yes sounds like russian + spanish + french
I didn't know they speak Russian in Portugal 😂😅
😅 I can barely understand a word or two in Portugal Portuguese. All I hear is consonants. Brazilian Portuguese seems clearer
Same for me but thats bc i speak spanish also its more similar than portugal portuguese
But apparently that way of speaking is considered "baby-like" or "immature" to European Portuguese speakers .
I am more familiar with Brazilian Portuguese because I have met far more Brazilians than other Portuguese speakers. Besides Brazilians, I have met 3 Angolans and 1 Guinea-Bissauan. I have yet to meet anybody from Portugal. However, I have recently been following European Portuguese teachers, and I now find European Portuguese to be just as interesting and beautiful as Brazilian Portuguese! Muito fixe! 😊
😂😂😂
I have a Portuguese grandpa and I wanted to honour my ancestors by learning Portuguese. My ancestors are Portugal Portuguese and so is my friend, so I became more motivated. However, I can only find Brazilian language learning websites. Does anyone know any Portuguese (Portugal) ones? Also, please don’t say Duolingo. They have Brazilian instead.
hi! i’m trying to learn eu portuguese because it’s my boyfriend’s native language. resources for eu portuguese are slim compared to brazilian portuguese. However, there’s a great vocabulary app called “drops” and a youtube channel called “Talk the Streets”. That’s what i’ve come across, if you’ve found anything let me know!
Pimsleur teaches European Portuguese:)
Same with me my grandma is Malaysian Portuguese but they speak a language called kristang which is old Portuguese from Portugal spoken 500 years ago
Check Italki there are a lot of them there
Brazilian Portuguese is more interesting and dynamic sounding.
I agree
"O rabo" 😂😂😂😂😂
honest to god thought they were speaking russian
A common funny Brazilian euphemism used to say that someone died is "esticar as canelas". So it's very similar to the Portuguese idiom "esticar o pernil".
baba e ranho é muito bom kkkkkk
Do Angola
Lingopie is good I think, reach out to Portuguese with Leo he can help you.
Wow! I found european Portuguese pronunciation very similar to peninsular Spanish, seems like they have what we call "seseo"
You can say Brazilian Portuguese is to Portugal Portuguese what Mexican Spanish is to Spaniard Spanish.
Bué is actually angolan 🇦🇴
Brazilian vs Russian 😂
O gato = El Gato

That Brazilian gal looks pretty. The Portuguese one does too. Long hair is good on a lady.
She sounds like my Duolingo Portuguese teacher
What is the channel of the European Portuguese teacher in the video?
Caricoa?

How is it European Portuguese? Portuguese is the language of Portugal it's not like you would say European English it's just English
Chama🔥
Haha, "estou" in European Portugese sounds the same as "что" (pronounced "shto") in Russian, meaning "what"
so they're two completely different languages?
No, they're the same language with some different words, slangs and way of speaking. Portuguese people speak faster, with more shh sounds and "eating" the vowels, Brazilian portuguese is more clearly articulated and slow paced in comparison to PT.
Thats why Portuguese people understand Brazilians with ease, while the latter may struggle when listening to Portuguese-PT, though they'll quickly get used to it and are capable of communicating.
We don’t say american portuguese Why do you call portuguese from portugal european portuguese ?
Yeah, I think the right way would be "Brazilian Portuguese vs Portuguese Portuguese"😂
@vbenfipxzpt I know right??!! I don't understand that either!
@@morpheus1345 No, just Portuguese, that's it!!
@@dorasantos1859 Just kidding
So eu qué to morrendo de rir do Portugal kkkkkk
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Portugal fica onde? Na África?
@@BrazilianPortuguese eitaaaaaaaaa kkkkkkkkk boa
@@BrazilianPortuguese What's the name of the portuguese girl channel
Yellow teeth...YELLOW TEETH😮😮
The one from Portuguese sounds lightly like Arabic
I mean portugal and the Iberian peninsula was ruled by Arabs and North African Muslims for 1000 years. There’s a lot of words of Arabic origin in both Spanish and Portuguese. From my understanding it’s similar to the influence French had on English. In Spanish ojala means I want something, it came from the Arabic word inshallah or god wills it. Almuerzo also is originally from Arabic too.
