I love getting xs plants and watching them develops. It’s so exciting to see new traits out of each new pitcher!
Yes!!! I especially like when I get multiples to see how they develop and differ from one another!
I agree! I love getting small nepenthes and watching them grow and pitcher! Get to watch the leaf jumps and you xant beat the price
Yes!!! I like to get a combo too. Like a few big cutting to take care of that immediate gratification part lol. But I do feel a stronger connection to the ones that I got small. You spend so much time watching them grow!!
🔥. a lot of good tips can't wait for Part 2. I already use some of the sites but definitely will check out some of the stock on the other ones.
Thank you for the kind words!! That’s awesome!!! Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime!
Good info as always 😊. I always web crawl and usually carnivero or predatory plants are the place I started with , then started on eBay and Instagram with known sellers . I really need to try seeds again 😅 I failed at my 1st batch
Hey! Thank you for the kind words! That’s how I did too but I still go back to those sites often too. No worries. Not all seeds are created equal, lol. You will have success next to around!!
This has been working well for me. You really can find some good and rare stuff gotta be patient.
Yes! There really is some amazing plants out there for great prices!!
I’ve found one of the best ways is to be active and making friends in the community. Having good plant karma by reasonably pricing plants and even giving away some for free has proven to yield an even better return. I got a lowii x truncata cutting for $100 and a macrophylla basal for $125! My Reinwardtiana just sprouted 6 basals and I’m giving 3 of them away for free. I don’t necessarily EXPECT anything in return, I just know they what goes around comes around!
Hey!! That is awesome and very generous!!! You are right. The only thing better than carnivorous plants is the community that comes with it. I have very much enjoyed getting to know everyone on this channel and hope we can continue to build a community and grow together!!
My last predatoryplants purchase, the first plant had two stuck together and another two basals. Got the free plant code. Got two stuck together for the free plant.
Nice!!!! Nothing like free plants!!! Yeah I love that free plant code.
Great video! Can you tell me how long do seeds stay good for?
Hey! Thank you for the kind words! ICPS states 2-3 months for optimal germination rates. However the ones I have in my collection were going on 5 months when I bought them. If you do purchase from Carnivero it will tell you when they were harvested. If you buy outside of their site I recommend asking the seller when they were harvested. Honestly, I had a lot of success with mine but probably would have had more success if they were newer seeds.
@@Carnivorousplanthelpthank you! Keep up the good work ^_^
Thank you so much!!
I just got Nepenthes truncata × robcantleyi Titanic Rampage extra small from Pradratory plants im new to nepenthes plants any tips for caring for this type plant
That is awesome!!! Congrats on that! I’ve heard this is a strong hybrid. I would say keep it as best you can at 70-75 degrees and humidity around 70 percent. However this should give you a lot of hardiness with this cross and will do fine with temps and humidity in a broader range. Given both parents I would try your best to keep water off the leaves so just spray on the media. The media should be moist but not soaked. However with this hybrid it will be able to handle some fluctuations in media dampness. It sounds like a lot but once you get a good rhythm it will be great!
@CHMcarnivores1 thanks for the info 👍
No worries! Let me know if I can help further!
Damn saving money? Whats that? Redleaf ep import??? Welp, there goes my entire paycheck😫
Lol, yeah I saw the list. There is a ton of cool plants on there! A buddy of mine just bought a Trunc x Eddie from the import!
