Is The New Generation Of Royals More Affectionate?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 кві 2024
- The Royal Family wasn’t known for its public displays of affection in the past.
Parents and children would pose primly for the cameras decades ago.
And the late Queen Elizabeth was reserved around her children when out in public.
But the new generation of royals have adopted a different style.
The Princess of Wales has always been affectionate with her little ones.
Holding their hands, playing with them, and giving them plenty of warm cuddles.
She follows the example of her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana, who was known to shower her sons William and Harry with love.
Bring on the kisses!

Princess Catherine affectionate her children as her own mother was to her. She’s not copying anyone else but her own family. She didn’t even know Diana.
She is a Mama who loves her children and like all Mamas she will show affection. God bless you Princess Catherine and Mama Mary protect you. Sherman.
That's true, but they are talking about royal decorum through the years. Even Catherine follows rules. She doesn't interact with her children when they are at public events the way she would normally. An example was when Louis was misbehaving at the Jubiliee concert. With the cameras on them, she couldn't handle it the way she would if they were not on camera. When you are Royal everything you do is scrutinized and judged, and she got a lot of crticism for not handling Louis' misbehavior. But if she had yelled at him, they would have criticized her and called her too stern.
Kate Middleton, the grocer's daughter, you mean🎉

Isn't that your profession? Bag boy?
I think Queen Elizabeth was reserved around her children because that was the way her parents probably treated her just the way they were back in that time period.
I think public displays of affection were frowned on in those days.
Well if you say so........not good look then cos history has repeated itself where KC has found it hard to express his love to his boys.......thank god for Princess Diana
@@sharonforbes525 What ar you talking about? Charles was a lot moree affectionate than his own parents were. He's on film hugging his sons.
@@loner1878 nah it was not in early days of boys dressed in his suits on and looking like he wanted the ground to swallow him up...when with Princess Diana....on her passing look how they got it wrong with the funeral walk....
@@loner1878 all the documentaries I've seen over many years KC wasn't as affectionate as Princess in my eyes.....although I won't deny he has hugged his boys
Or maybe it’s because of Princess Catherine’s own upbringing of affection in which she experienced by and with her parents! As Prince William became accustomed to with his own father! Not only his mother. 😡
❤❤❤ Princess Catherine is the epitome of Love. ❤
Respect Familiei Regale ❤🙏🙏
Different times, different ways of expression.
People posed primly because it took longer to set up/ expose photos.
Not in the mid-century. That was more the case in the late 1800s/early 1900s.
@@akm2743 I didn’t say they had to stand still for minutes but people did pose for longer because it took longer to set up the shots. Cameras weren’t digital so many shots were not taken, hence more care over the ones taken. This would have been true when HLMTQ was a child.
True!
It's a different world today. Different expectations of royalty, of child rearing and of access to personal matters like being affectionate with their children. But that said, I think Prince William and Princess Catherine are probably the best parents in the history of the Royal Family with the most secure and well-adjusted children.
Definitely 😊
Why not also show footage of KC hugging and playing with his sons? There is footage of that.
There certainly is. These ppl who make these videos think everyone is of low intelligence.
And riding bikes, which Harry claimed never happened
🙏🙏🙏🙏❤💯
We all evolve with time, but the love was apparent. Love the footage!!! Thank you!!!
❤ Princess Kate and Prince William are bringing up a lovely, intelligent, courteous, kind and lovable family ❤
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
God bless you all family ❤
Times has changed. Not many generations ago children was regarded as "small adults". They could be seen but not heard. There was strong rules w strong consequences. Affection wasn't shown between adults either.
The approach today is different. More loving. It's ok to show love and validation. In some cases it gets too much, lol, when the children dictate the adults. Some parents have difficult to say no. Princess Catherine seems to be a good mother. Children today, in general, have it better today.
They weren't considered "small adults" as then they would have been present at the table with adults and involved in conversation which is something that some cultures do, and they would most definitely be heard. Lol. They were seen as inferiors for some parents and other adults. It is a bit similar to the concept for slaves and servants only being visible when needed and certainly not heard. For some people though, that phrase simply refers to children behaving and not being loud, I think, because it's not natural for children to be silent all the time.
George VI was affectionate for the time when he was the Duke of York
La princesa de Gales brilla con luz propia ❤
Salud. Amor. Oración para Catherine Princesa de Gales ❤🌺
Society in general is more openly affectionate. That being said, there's a time and place for everything. Nobody wants yo see overt displays of an intimate relationship in a professional setting.
I have been writing a student's work about the evolution of the monarchy in the modern world: the United Kingdom case study.
We are looking forward to reading your work on the case study !
Bless bring a lot of memories back ❤x
Le donne della Royal Family inglese sono delle splendide mamme!!!👏👑🏰🇬🇧💐

You skipped a whole generation of the Royal Family, Diana and Charles, just giving them a mere end-of-video mention when it was those two who relaxed the rules of decorum with respect to their children! Diana began the change of taking her baby on tour with her as opposed to leaving him behind as they expected her to, and Catherine has followed suit.

@@ritahorvath8207 You don't even know those children. Boys and girls are different to begin with. Why are you judging children whom you don't even know?

It would do very well if they would just be authentic, genuine and honest, thank you very much🎉
The newest in the line of succession are not affectionate at all because they are invisible.
Tell Princess Kate I said hi 👋😘😘😘 and tell Princess Kate I hope she is feeling better 😘😘😘
More affection shown could pair with the change in the line of succession for: Prince George; Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' generation. Trying to be fairer to females given consecutive Kings starting with King Charles III
NO. It is not the reason for the change. You are no good at speculating and theorizing because all of your thoughts are WRONG, all of them. Some people complaining about the noise from the gun salutes in Scotland is not a revolt by Scottish people. 🤣🤣 Try reading about these things and getting factual information instead of speculating and conveying things that don't make sense at all.

I didn't bother responding. He's so confused about everything.
@@Ker-mk3bf He just likes to make up things in an attempt to look smart, but the things he writes are just ridiculous.
@@BellaRegina6545 and who are you to say so? Answering me with I’m wrong like I asked you.
This video isn’t about the Scottish Revolt against the gun salutes, Scotland, which I’ll say has been pursuing cession from the United Kingdom. This was an issue addressed by the previous First Minister of Scotland.
And about this video’s topic, I couldn’t foresee its purpose until after the video about Prince Harry’s kiss on platform with his wife Meghan, the two appearing in Florida for a Polo Match for Charity
