    Anything anyone does on the homestead. Planting, harvesting, preserving, garden, and then how you use it, the meals. I've noticed the longer videos get more traffic. Just because you know how to do something, please don't assume others know how. It is especially cool when you can show things your children know how to do. Maybe a day in the life, doing chores and whatnot around the homestead. I will watch any video you put out, but noticed others watch when it 30-45 minutes long. Of course, I have no idea what goes into making those kind of videos. UA-cam is my TV since I cut the cable cord years ago. For me the channels I watch are like mini series. I think you are an amazing woman and mother! You could show the cleaning routine or children doing laundry and I would watch. Daily chores, anything new with any of the animals, children building a fort, doing a skit or play, organization for the large family, anything you do really. Maybe you could edit some parts of home movies or children's reactions to some of the movies. Recipes and cooking meals, especially since you mentioned you make them healthier. Most of us in the world have no clue what healthy meals are...😂. Substitutions for junk food because most of us are addicted to them. You just really seem to have it altogether. You could teach the rest of us so much. I would love to see you with videos and your channel grow!

      This is awesome! Thank you so much! I will write all these ideas down. You gave me such valuable input. Madalyn was saying to do very short videos, so I was trying to edit and keep them shorter. But I prefer to do longer ones and be more detailed. Just didn't want to bore people or turn them off if they see the length and don't have time at the end of a busy day. So I'm glad you said that. I do enjoy making longer ones. The only challenge is uploading, but as long as we go to town for internet, it can be done.
      I first assumed my audience would be other homesteaders so showing how to cook from scratch or eat healthy would be preaching to the choir. So I'm so glad you said that most people do want to know how to eat healthier.
      Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! No, I don't have it all together but I do want to help others live a simpler life with less stress, more appreciation for blessings and little things, and more joy filled moments. I want so much for people to make a happy life for themselves and love it.

      I think keywords in the title of the videos also may have something to do with it. Any farm animal, chicken, duck, and so on, farm, homestead, garden, supper, dinner, or family dinner, teen cooking, or maybe pre-teen if appropriate, You could also do: A day in the life of single mom on a farm/or homestead every week! I will never get tired of watching you and your children! I really pray your channel grows leaps and bounds.

      I do work. I work all day from the moment I get up until I go to bed at 11pm. My goal is by fall to be able to finish at 10:30 and read for 30 minutes before bed. :) I do lots of jobs to bring in various income and still be able to stay home with my children. Last summer I worked at a bakery but it only paid $9 an hour and my kids suffered from me being gone. So I'm trying to stick to mostly in home or flexible jobs. I baby-sit, run nature camps on my property, write homeschool curriculum, homeschool coach, and have a blog. When I go to town for an activity or appointment I walk a dog and clean houses so I'm not making an extra trip to town. And my kids come help with those too. Next week, for example I'm helping someone pack and move (that pays $20 an hour, so much better than the bakery job) for 3 days, doing a nature camp and babysitting. And any moments I'm home I am writing curriculum to sell on my blog, answering blog emails, homeschool coaching, and working on my YT channel (comments or putting out new videos.) I work till late at night writing the curriculum while it's quiet. My goal is to be able to one day make enough from that and homeschool coaching that I don't have to have so many other odd jobs. We also sell eggs and blueberries from our farm. Kaitlyn babysits and sells stuff she crochets. Thomas does yard work for others and helps me with my business which I pay him for. So we're all working as hard as we can. No, we still can't make ends meet yet and have food stamps to help with food and parents help with the mortgage. And so many nice friends have randomly bought us toilet paper or ziplock bags or shampoo right when we needed it. But every month my business does a tiny bit better so I'm looking forward to the day I can provide for ourselves without any outside help. Do you know anyone who wants homeschool curriculum or coaching? Share my blog with them! I also do any kind of coaching: sleep training, potty-training, meal planning, any mother related topics.

      @@singlemomonafarm I should not have said that! I am sure you must be exhausted.

    • @singlemomonafarm
      @singlemomonafarm  2 місяці тому +4

      @@lorib4516 You’re good! Lots of people have asked what I do for income or assume I don’t work. Just because I don’t have a full time job in town. I applied to lots and didn’t feel good about them. They don’t pay more than $12 an hour even though I have a degree. I’m having faith that my business will someday do better than that. And will be more fulfilling and bring me joy. I also thought if I worked in town 9-5 I would have to put the kids in public school and we might as well all move to town. But the purpose of moving here was to homeschool, farm, play outside, have animals, etc. So I’m doing everything I can to keep that dream and find jobs I can do on my property like the nature camps while only occasionally going into town to work for others. And hopefully my business gains traction and eventually provide ms for us with enough to share with others how people have shared with me.🤞🙏
      Thanks for asking. I appreciate people being interested. And yes I’m exhausted! Every moment even while the kids are showing their art picture I am thinking “this doesn’t earn me money. I need to be earning money.” It’s a constant pressure to use every moment wisely and be doing something- writing curriculum or a new blog post or texting moms about my nature camp-. I have faith it’ll all work out! And the kids are happy in the meantime. They don’t care about being poor.

      We have a renter with similar but different circumstances. She said it barely pays to work in the summer or for after school care for her children. She tries to work jobs that allow her to work around the kids schedule or she takes them with her whenever possible. She paints, cleans houses, etc.
