    Olaplex is a BOND BUILDER meant to repair broken bonds in the hair. It’s not meant to be used regularly only to repair hair that has been chemically or mechanically damaged. It’s not a protein treatment or moisturizing treatment. So if you don’t have hair that has been damaged in one way or another, this product is not for you. Coming from a licensed professional stylist.

    • @CherryBerry383
      @CherryBerry383 7 місяців тому +41

      that only applies to No.1 and 2 from the professional line, all the other olaplex products are for consumers after their appointments with a stylist who uses No.1 and No.2 in the salon. For example No.3 is suggested for the consumer to be "used 2-3x per week," or No.4 (the shampoo) is meant to be used "Use any time you cleanse your hair.". Since she didn't use anything from the professional line, she is perfectly fine.

    • @tangeeo
      @tangeeo 6 місяців тому

      @@CherryBerry383n.3 is also a bond building treatment that is used with n.0
      N.3 can be used alone for at home maintenance but that is for people who actually need the bond building not just for a regular deep conditioning.

    • @tangeeo
      @tangeeo 6 місяців тому

      @@CherryBerry383also for someone who needs N.3 2-3x a week is for someone who’s hair needs the bond building. That type of maintenance is for someone who definitely needs the bond rebuilding aspect. For the shampoo and conditioner it says bond maintenance on the front meaning for someone who wants to keep their bonds strong because of either heat or color damage. I wouldn’t recommend olaplex to someone who doesn’t use a ton of heat nor colors. You hair is made up of two bonds, hydrogen bonds and Disulphide bonds. Hydrogen bonds are broken by heat /water. Disulphide bonds are broken by chemicals like bleaching/ perms. The Disulphide bonds are the permanent bonds that hold the shape of your hair. And is the harder to repair of the two , and olaplex is designed to target those making it a much stronger protein treatment. So like I said b4 if your not coloring /bleaching/perming/relaxing or uses heat multiple times a week, you don’t need olaplex. If you are someone who occasionally colors or maybe uses heat like for straight styles or blowouts a couple times a year , than even then you only would need to use the olaplex every once in a while. I am also a stylist so I have a deeper understanding of the terminology or why the certain instructions on a package also I have a deeper understanding of the chemicals that make up hair.

      I wore a weave Bang for about a week straightened my hair daily for that week. The front of my hair is heat damage now but the rest is still in its natural texture.I used practically the whole aphogee line to try to repair the curls in the front with no success. I.
      Also started using some new cream nature products. The combination of these events has caused my hair to become really dry and brittle.It's breaking off in pieces and also coming out in full strands.Do you know if Opalex should help me?

    I’m 19, and I’m literally in tears because I was never taught how to take care of my natural hair. My sisters and I always had perms and weave in our heads because it was more manageable and looked better to our mom. Long story short, I cut the perm off of my natural hair 5 years ago, and my mother was so mad with me. She called me bald headed and continued to ask why I would do something like that. It was the best decision I ever made. My hair was growing so much faster! 😭🙏 I thank God for you Brit because you’ve taught me how to take care of my hair! ❤️🫂

So if someone does correct you and they are RIGHT then receive the correction with gratitude. If they correct you and they are wrong then you have EVERY right to ask them to KICK ROCKS! Telling you that you didn't cut your hair but you just trimmed it is in fact CORRECT.
