This look is really pretty on you! I can definitely relate to your new hair journey. I just big chopped again (4th time) beginning of November. After coloring and some heat damage, I decided to just let my hair grow in its curly natural state. No color and very minimal heat (diffuse only) if needed. I'm wishing you continued progress on your healthy hair journey!

I'm not natural but relaxed and I really want to shave my head and grow out my hair natural. The thought of doing it makes me feel so relieved and liberated because I've been really struggling with keeping up with my hair. My only issue is that I am so worried and insecure of how I'd look with my hair short, I'm also worried about how people will view me with short hair. I wish I had the courage to do it, your hair looks beautiful!
yea i would suggest (only if u want) um you could do wigs and then just take care of your hair under there
So if you are interested, you could do wigs like the other commenter said or braids with added hair, or turban/head wraps. Turbans are my preference for when I don’t want to touch my hair. And there’s always transitioning. But for me, last time I wanted to cut my hair I pushed it off for months then gave in and it felt so good. If that’s what you want, go for it. You can try a mini chop first and see how it goes from there.

I am contemplating the same but I won’t go the wig route like recommended above. I honestly have never thought of myself as someone worried about how I look but I’m struggling to cut my hair. I find myself feeling like cutting it all off will impact how I look and feel. I only don’t recommend wigs because it’s not going to make you feel any more confident in short hair. I personally just want to love myself fully no matter what.
I cut my fully off in December and did the 1 year challenge. No cutting no heat no color. It works when you have a routine you stick to for growth ❤

Honestly what I have been doing to grow my hair more has been
1. Sticking to what works! Not buying too many products that my hair never tried as often.
2. Doing more DIY hair treatments. I been loving Rice water, aloe vera treatment, and the Cardi b Avocado banana treatment. Am actually going to try more DIY treatments that @ShereaDelsol does on her youtube channel.
3. Not use too much gel or unnecessary styling products.
4. Protective styling like braids.
5. Getting a PROFESSIONAL trim!
6. Hair vitamins and hair oils for growth
Hair vitamins are not the best idea. If you stop using them after your body can get used to it can cause changes in your body that result in damage to your hair.

I feel like you should see results in two months from hair vitamins. If nothing is happening by then, then it probably isn't working. However, I do concede that everyone's hair is different.
I mentioned that I can see results - I was saying that it’s just not easy for me to do length checks to display the results on camera because of my length/curl pattern.
My hair textures are around yours. 4a/b so these videos are overly helpful .

I did a big chop feb 2019 and have been on a journey of growing it out as healthy as possible with it’s natural color too. Unfortunately, my hair has been thinning out due to pcos causing excess shedding. So I need to get that under control so my hair can thrive again.
