    Best explanation so far I now understand what it means to be perfect it’s truly getting it done in 13 frames damn! I always thought just getting the animation was enough but I now understand the power it is to have a move that u can pull off in 13 frames. Really like the analogy that u used - even if I read my opponent, if they can get it off in 13 and I’m getting my read off in say 18 or 20 frames… IM COOKED!

    People who want to practice PEWGF there are few set ups in practise you can do. As Reina for example go to Practice, at practice setting enable counter hit for yourself and put opponent for sanding, and after 1 hit standing block. use Heaven's Wrath 1 (d+1+2, 1) and then do electric as fast as you can. There is 13 frame time to hit the electric. if u fail PEWGF you hit to block, if u succeed Electric will connect. As Kazuya get df+2 counter hit and input electric, when opponent flies high to the sky, you have succeeded with PEWGF. Hope this helps for those who didn't know.

    Sometimes we forget wind god fist also has uses such as whiff punishing 1nd high crushing, since electrics are supposed to be fast, oftentimes they won't dodge much, but if you wait in wind god step and then press 2 for wind godd fist you can have cool punishment while only losing 3 damage

  • @aqueelkadri8371
    @aqueelkadri8371 4 місяці тому +20

    A few mistakes were made here by TMM while presenting both versions of the perfect electric that will further spread misinformation and misconceptions across the community. The command history in this game not only tells you what you are inputting but also tells you for how many frames you have held down the direction or button which is the number next to it. (The minimum being 1 frame per input)
    1. @9:00 That is NOT a perfect a electric. Even though the down input is 1 frame and the neutral is skipped, the forward input is 4 frames which means the electric was 5 + 11 = 16 frames instead of a perfect 13 frame. (Also pointed out by urahairywizard1 in chat @9:24)
    2. @11:09 That is also NOT a perfect electric either because as you can see the forward is inputted for 3 frames and then theres 3 frames of neutral. So thats a 6 + 11 = 17 frame electric
    So if you are practicing perfect electrics with command history on, you not only have to look at what the input is saying but also the number next to it.
    Your command history should show 1 next to the forward, 1 next to the neutral or down, and then down forward and right punch. (The number here doesn't matter because the move animation starts as soon as you reach this point)

    • @UltimateBallaPOM
      @UltimateBallaPOM 4 місяці тому +6

      Excellent comment.
      1. It's 13f in hit or block stun if you release the forward on the first active frame so the forward can be pressed for longer than 1f.
      In neutral it's absolutely what you said.

      @@UltimateBallaPOM I glossed over at the first instance too thinking the same as you given that he was talking about punishing -13 moves in this video. But the second instance made me realize its definitely an oversight on his part.
      And I only made this comment for anyone who is thinking of spending hours and hours in the lab grinding out perfect electrics.
      Cuz if they can't recognize whether they have failed or succeeded at the input; or even worse, get a false sense of positive feedback because their command history looked "the same as mainman" then that would be a lot of time wasted for that person and/or develop bad muscle memory.

      @zesork5627 the speed and distance you can cover with with deep dash wind god fist surpasses what you get with a dash electric and with far less execution.
      The only point I am trying to make is that both have utility and we as mishima players ofteb overlook being able to utilize the WGF.
      I see whiff, I electric, in turn whiffing hahaha

      @@DreadyDiggs Idk man, when i see a whiff my muscle memory makes me DDEWGF so i dont really whiff it. I want to always get the just frame for the extra damage and in case im late im not left at -10. I dont see much of a difference in ranges like you say if one dashes in properly. A tournament setting is different so you wanna do the most easy reliable thing so you dont drop it like Kaz EWGF 314 df1df2, subpar but consistent.
      Anyway a wgf will come out anyway since ill drop the input every now and then so theres that.

      Press forward, then with the same motion hitting down, slide your thumb towards forward + 2. It should "feel" like Forward, "Down" + 2, with "Down" meaning sliding towards Forward.
      I've also heard from pad players its easier if you map 2 on the left bumper trigger. Something about having all inputs done and the same hand makes it easier.

    • @digitaljin8362
      @digitaljin8362 4 місяці тому +1

      Just tested this on a pad and was getting Short-cut electrics consistantly (F, *, DF+2), if you are willing to shift your right hand to the left side of the pad for Electrics. Assign 2 + 3 marco on Left bumper trigger, then press forward, then with your right hand use the analog stick to press DF and reach with right index to the left bumper for the DF +2. Pretty easy, but does require you to move your hand a bit.
