If you use a net to pull those floating plants from the water you'd be able to cut down the time you spend lifting out the plants with your hands. If you don't have a net you could make some small holes with a nail and hammer in a metal container and use it to pull the plants from the pond; that would work too and reduce your maintenance time spent on the pond.

I have a net but the plants were covered with hair algae, so i wanted to remove as much as hair algae as possible and to separate the plants from hair algae properly i used my hands😅
