@Aritra Roy No Discord at the moment
I like it, I'd like it more without the bottle.
Well it's not yours. So there's that.
What’s wrong w/ Jack Daniels?
It's a whiskey barrel so it makes sense that he would use the whiskey bottle.
@@patrizialisi4916 I think it's cute
Valid opinion
This is really cool, but the huge waterfall makes it impossible to see the ricefish. MAybe lower the bottle or less waterflow?
Thanks! I agree the flow is a little much. I will probably swap out the pump for something smaller moving forward
Sponge filter. Sponge filters, always. Can't beat 'em.
@@KrigareAvHallarna Sponge filters are great, but I think it's not part of the look of the project.
yea it looks too loud too, lower by like 8 inches and its golden
This looks great and its an amazing concept, but I think the water turbulence is too much for the ricefish, who come from still water in rice paddies, and the lily. Simply lowering the bottle closer to the surface and lowering the flow on the pump with a valve would help a lot.
I love this idea! I’ve had a diy pot pond for about 4 years and found the aqua scape to get a bit boring. The plant shelf was a genius idea! Definitely going to update the pot.
Absolutely lovely, I even watched to the end. I don't normally watch UA-cam videos without explanations from the creator Explanations from the creator. I had to have the volume down though.
If you aded some botaicals and catappa leaves to the water it would color up with tanins to look like whiskey!
That's a really good idea!
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
great vid another idea for liner is to use clear flexseal it works great you need to let dry 24hrs
This is a beautiful setup. Love it!
One of the best videos on this subject I've seen! Thanks!
this tutorial video is the best and practically made mini pond i saw👏
I think this is one of your coolest videos.
Nice setup! I made one of these a couple of months ago :) I skipped the step of adding a pond liner though. The guy I bought the barrel from recommended not to line the barrel because the planks of wood will shrink over time. It will slowly leak for several days without a liner, but eventually the wood will swell up and hold water just fine.
Thanks! I initially tried with no liner but the water started smelling really bad after a few hours. I didn't want to risk affecting the fish.
@@RegisAquatics You just need to sand the charred wood off of the inside of the barrel and do a few water changes over a couple of weeks. Mine smelt like whiskey for a while but the smell has gone now :)
@@superjaz1810 great info
I was thinking that you could line the inside with fibre glass.
How about FlexSeal? The. Let it cure and do a few water changes.
If that would off gas too many chemicals you could do Krylon Fusion spray paint, once it’s dry it’s as inert as PVC.
LOVE IT ... thanks for sharing ... I must try this .. oh yes I must thanks again!
Great idea combining the barell and th bottle 👍. Def would be cool to try out.
Heavy water flow is the issue for this kind of tiny fish pond, you may add a faucet nozzle for controlling flow. It could be better as my opinion. Although nice work. 👍
The Idea to make a barrel pond are so cool!
Thats genius have a nice Day!☺️
You've inspired me. Thanks 😊
Absolutely Amazing video
Bravo. Thanks for the bottle idea.
Exelent video, now I know how to do mine,I especially like the plastic self for the plants.Thank you.👍
underrated channel for sure
i love your scapes
Excellent, loved it ❤
Impressive. Thanks for sharing.
I love it!
I need this in my life!!
Beautiful..❤️🌟🌟🌟👍👍
genius at work , love the set up 👍
Merci ! ;) magnifique !
Bottom layer should be 1. Substrate 2. Gravel 3. Sand - that would help filtering and sustaining aquatic life and decreasing maintenance…as gravel alone doesn’t do anything except make it harder to clean and ensuring dead leaves/crap get stuck there and decay
This is pretty good 👍🏻
Great video and even better sneakers
Looks good
Stunning therapeutic pond but sadly not something I can do myself x
Amazing 👍👍👍
I like it !!!
THE WHISKEY WITH AN. E. LOOKS THE BEST. CHEERS.
Not in Scotland!!
Love!
I love it. 👏👏👏🍀🌻🍀🌻🍀🌻🍀
Keren banget bang... ting kayu nya itu dah kayak di film film koboy 😄
Owo...just amazing...
Nice job! Great choice, rice fish... :)
Thank you!
Love the papyrus!
To much water going back to pond, must be like a washing machine for the fish. Nice little set up though. 💜🇬🇧
Nice
I’m curious how the staples did holding it into place! Did the ever rust?!
what if i live somewhere with really cold winters, will the fish need to be taken inside?
Medakas can tolerate water cold to the point of freezing if they are acclimatized gradually. They do become inactive when it is cold and the thrive best when it is sunny, however.
Hi, this is Lorna from Hygger Aquatic Equipment, I have been following your youtube for a long time, your videos are very good and fit well with our brand, we would like to test our new products with you and look forward to hearing from you.
“How your fish so healthy?”
“They’re drunk af most of the time…”
hi, would the sand and soil from the plant pots make the water murky?
Cover the soil with gravel, will start cloudy but eventually clear up
Looks great. How many gallons per day do you lose from evaporation and all that splashing?
I'd have a small bell fountain instead the bottle
A dry barrel collapses fairly quickly as the staves shrink as they dry. This would need regular rain at least notwithstanding the pressure from inside.
I'd like to see one cut lengthwise too, both with an even cut, and one with a full side left on, to show the maker's label on the ends.🤔
How do you look after the fish , with feeding & do you have to keep changing some of the water .
When changing some of the water , do you treat the tap water to make it safe for the fish ,
I think your aqua tank so nice. however, you should reduce the water power pour-out which so strong, it effect to fishes heath so much.
Thanks
I like the whiskey bottle, just lower and slower flow. 🍹
Can you make an axolotl tank! Or even some recommendations?
Gonna try this but with the black bottle filled with filter media.
I think you could cut the barrel in half and then put glass windows imbetween to make a 360 window into the barrel fish tank
That would be awesome! Good idea!
How big of pond liner did you use to line the little barrel?
Did you put a heater in it? Can they survive in cold weather? thanks!
No heater, the weather in my area will keep the water above 70 all of summer. I will move the fish inside during winter.
Fantastic idea!! Great video. Hot guy 😜
what's the possible option for dwarf papyrus cyperus haspan? not available in our area. Thanks
Nice Except The whisky bottle with label .
Hello, what for pond liner do you use ?, the pond liner is not de listed in your list of materials.
I have a tapered bowl container. How can I keep my pond baskets raised and at the edge of the container?
I'm curious how does it look like in the barrel
Nice setup but medaka dont like surface agitation 😔🌊
Do you not need a filter and water treatment liquid?
May I ask what kind/brand of top soil do you use?
Hi what’s inside you cycled filter media?
Awesome job! Name of the song used in video please.
Thanks! Beyond by Patrick Patrikios & Empire Seasons by Dan Henig
@@RegisAquatics Thanks!
I would of had the liner over the barrel water will seep in that one, and not too many plants like here, take labels off bottle.
a balcony pond which gets direct sunlight in the mornings....will that heat up the pond?
I don’t think the temp will change too much. You can test by placing a bucket of water in the location you want and see how the temperature changes over the course of a few days.
what's the third plant before the water Lily?
Hi actually rice fish love slow moving water, they can get sick from that
Going to setup a nano palnted with no nutrients sand substrate am I going to buy a liqiud fertilizer so when should I dose the fertilizer in first to two weeks means alternative days or once a week or what .
As I am new to planted tank
Can anybody please help ....
Why not the full barrel. A bigger water column would be better I assume. Plus would have taken a similiar amount of space.
Very true! Might try something like that in the future!
I'd love to have this .
But worried of mosquitoes
use mosquito bits or swap out water once a month
Fish eat mosquito larvae
Are the fish harmed by the pump intake?
Traverse city MI?
please help me
I am very new to this hobby and I got a 6 Gallon Tank and I want a Very Hardy And Beautiful Fish to keep so please suggest me.
And thx 😊
Endlers or guppys would work well
Wish you luck!
A betta fish, or a few male guppys, not a lot of options for that size tank
Endlers, guppies, or a betta would do well. Good luck with your tank!
@@RegisAquatics ok thx ❤️ how many endlers would be happy in my tank and how many Guppies would be happy in my Tank?
If I get a Betta then only one Betta is possible.
So I would also like to know what would you Suggest a Male Betta or a Female Betta? Which one is more Hardy and has more life span? By the Way Thx for Your Reply it helps me a lot❤️😊.

Forget the bottle buddy....other than that great job!
Can u see the fishes though?
I enjoyed the video and this set up but I dislike the water flow because is so fast that we couldn't view the Medaka fish. If you had slowed down the water flow this setup would of received a 10 but I gave you a 9 which isn't bad. On your next setup think about the water flow ok and I'm hoping for more vids.
Those stables are going to rust
would've been nice to hear the actual... good idea but
Where are the fishes
Body withput soul
It's Good But The Fish Will Never Enjoy Those Splashes. 🤷🏻♂️
Too complex fo me to repeat your work
narration would be better than that awful music
The bottle looks incredibly tacky, the water stream is way too strong and too forceful in a linear fashion that is aimed at just ONE point, and subsequently, is probably very, very loud (which is why we never got to hear the real stream).
Not too mention the black liner is very visible upon completion, and there is no visibility of the actual fishes themselves since they are being bombarded by that water stream.
A highly disappointing build. It is just strange since Regis Aquatics has done much better work in the past.
Wow, incredibly rude. It’s art and he’s posting it for your benefit. No need to be so critical.
