The Queen to do so too. Thankfully she left behind a daughter. HRH Princess Alexandra who most strikingly resembles her... Princess Alexandra has worked hard and supported her Cousin. HM The Queen for all of her life. She married the youngest son of Queen Mary and King George. HRH Prince George. HRH Prince George was ( next to his Brother the Prince of Wales ) considered the most attractive and eligible Prince In Europe... Marina and George were a good match. Rumors aside, Prince George was very close in thinking with his eldest Brother Prince Edward the then Prince of Wales and heir to the Throne... They hated all the stuffiness and ultra high expectations which at that time...came by the "ton load" with being a Royal Prince. ( or Princess ) They were young and they rebelled at any chance they could and yes...their "set" of friends...would not have been approved of within the Palace walls...But the "set" which included American Actors and Songwriters..and younger Aristo's. Came as a welcome change and a breath of fresh air into the lives of the two young princess. Not much has changed...Both TRH Princes's William and Harry have had their moments of madness, with friends i'm sure their Father would rather they didn't have...Difference is in those "far gone days"..Princes's could get away with a lot more..for a lot longer. "Marriage" helped Prince George. He got his own loving home and a more worthwhile lifestyle with someone he loved and who...loved him. He died, much too young fighting for his country.
