I absolutely loved this game! I loved seeing just how much trouble he could get into or just how pissed off he could get. All sorts of fun! If you're quick enough, when you're filled with helium because you shot the balloon man, when you get to the roof, if you can shoot both birds fast enough, you'll actually end up at the top of the mountain where you picked flowers for Lucy. Although I will say the secret path from the sewer was a huge disappointment considering how hard that particular cart ride mission was.

Those kinds of secrets were awesome! It does have replay value after all. A lot of exploring
Seeing people praise this game it's very rare. Thank you for your service. I love this game, particularly the SNES port, the Genesis port doesn't have as good music :-(
Honestly this game was pretty impressive for the snes and genesis, Pac-Man and his world is so expressive and filled to the brim with personality and I've never really seen any thing like it on the snes or genesis, while it's not my favorite Pac-Man game it's definitely up there.
I played the snes version of this game, and it is amazing, it looks like a morning cartoon with all the situations and musics, and when you die it has a cartoon ending iris out effect
I remember this game, I loved it. The only time I ever felt stuck was finding Jr's Guitar and I even then eventually figured out how to make the ghosts drop their disguise. I used to play it a lot, and even though I beat it like 10 times or more, I would always come back to it. Here I am 25 years later rediscovering it simply because I had a dream about it. Beforehand the game, in my mind, was all but forgotten.
@@thecommenter4741 Im actually thinking the opposite...... an regular controller is not a gimmick in this game imho, there are some "secrets" which would be too easy to discover with a mouse (like shooting at the two birds), also the overall game with a mouse would be much much easier because you can move the mouse too fast.... example if you screw something up sometimes, you in fact have some time/seconds to react to "save the thing" but if you are too late and dont think fast, its over. I like how it has "puzzles" and a bit challenging, also many unexpected things happen (the second you think everything will be allright, the next second he screwes something up).... it makes you angry but its amusing at the same time (especially the 1st playtrough). BTW this game looks the best on SNES (best example the red lasers in the "laboratory").
You know... oddly enough, I LOVED this game when I was a kid. Which is interesting... because well, most kids are impatient little twerps. But yeah, this game has a LOT of charm to it... the different levels, and all the crazy things you could do left a pretty positive impression on my younger self... I even somehow managed to make it to the end at one point I believe. Plus, you get the original game, so it's a good deal all around. (And you can access it with a password too... along with Mrs. Pac-Man.)
Its length is basically the only real problem with this game (the replayability is basically finding new ways to lose, and there are lots). It is otherwise a pretty good point-and-click game, and the mood system sets it apart from other games in the genre. I've been checking a little and this game actually *isn't* a sequel, but a spin-off. Its japanese name is "Hello! Pac-Man". Why the localization turned it into Pac-Man *2* is anyone's guess.
You forgot to mention insane Pac man which you will know on sight. Basically he starts pulling his tongue and also hitting himself with a hammer. This one seems to be him at his most vulnerable. One instance of what I mean by that is he will run into the shopping cart resulting in a death
I played this on the Genesis when I was a kid and I loved it so freaking much! But the cartridge was malfunctioning, so the game would freeze after the witch cutscene for completing the first mission or when you tried to access any of the arcades, so I could only play the Pac-man's village stage. And the demos for the Mountain and City stages looked so freaking cool, I wanted to go there so badly. Took me almost 6 months to get a fully working cartridge and play the game until it's very end. Just like you said, we had the feeling that we were just hanging out with Pac-man on his world, exploring and interacting with it as much as we could, and that's why I loved it. The biggest selling point in big games nowadays, like GTA or Cyberpunk, the biggest selling point is always "you can do this and you can do that". And that's exactly how I felt when I was playing Pac-man 2 as a kid, with each new screen I saw stuff and I wondered "can I do this? Can I do that?" and more often than not, I could.
I picked this game up at MAGfest after seeing the review of the game from Roo/Clan of the Gray Wolf. I love point-and-click style games and this one looks like a pretty fun, light-hearted game. Not directly controlling Pacman seems like it might be a hair annoying, but nothing that bothers me too much. ;) Great review!

Do you know if there were more names like this in consoles?

I love, love, love, love, love this game. I'm always surprised there's no more content about it and that's how I found this video. And it's a great video! One thing I'd like to add, as a Spanish speaker, is that you can really play it without reading - I don't even remember if I had the English or Japanese version as a kid, but it wouldn't have made much of a difference. It's just that good at communication
I really loved this game when I was a kid. Never did own it or finish it, but always had a good time travelling with Pac-Man through his world when I did play it.

I also have a question, do we have any idea who made it? I've never found credits. And it must have been such a trip making what is essentially a graphic adventure, on a console, starring Pac Man
played this game a lot. spent a week trying to figure it out. In the end I just b line for the arcade and play the original pacman. THe rest of the game just frustrated me so much, but it was funny.
Ah man, you know me and my boy Pac are gonna tear it up! I'm glad they included him. It's nice that since Namco is helping with the game, they get a little love in the roster as well.
i don't mean to nitpick a 9 year old video but the Pac-Man Arrangement logo as seen at 0:43 is the arcade version's logo with footage being shown of the PSP version which is a completely different game
Pac Mania and Pac Man Arrangements (Arcade, not the Namco Battle Museum version although that is kind of cool though would have been nice if they gave it another name for the sake of avoiding confusion)
Beaten the game so many times but could never bring myself to try for 100% It's possible to speed run Pac-Man 2 if you're good enough though. Namely, The Arcade Pac-Man game was popular right up there with Galaga and Dig-Dug
As always another great video, I just hope that one day you'll get the recognition you deserve. 2000 views per video does not do your channel justice in the least.
I am OK with this game, I bought both 16 bit versions of the game for my collection due to the personality this game has. No, it's not traditional Pac-Man, but Namco's always tried to innovate with their mascot, and they managed to innovate beyond the norm for this game.
Some people like it, and some people hate it. I hate this game so much and also I used to play this at my grandmas house and get easily mad. And why does it have to be called pacman 2? Don't we already have a sequel to pacman called Ms.pac-man?
This game actually has an "easter egg" for Ms Pac Man..... if you won the "regular" pacman game in the arcade machine, you unlock the "ms pacman level". I dont know.... I just like this game.

Pac Man 2 could have been awesome with the SNES/Genesis mouse.
I think it was made for it but didnt required it
I agree,the game would feel...like a computer...as the mouse feels. lol

Hard to believe this game is almost 20 years old. You'd think by 1994 people would be like "What the heck did I just play?"
I think a point n' click with a premise similar to this using more modern technology has a lot of potential for interactive storytelling
This is honestly one of my favorite games of all time. It's right up there with the original Spyro trilogy.
Its length is basically the only real problem with this game (the replayability is basically finding new ways to lose, and there are lots). It is otherwise a pretty good point-and-click game, and the mood system sets it apart from other games in the genre.

I do love me some Pac-Man, but what about this "interactive cartoon" from 1994? Check out this review on Pac-Man 2 from The Duke!
i hope you review i have no mouth and must scream next
**points at door** Bo-ba bo-ba? **enters the door**
This game was funny as all hell! Some of his faces were funny and as a kid I couldn’t stop laughing. This brings back great memories
Great work!
Played this one a lot as a kid!

that's probably why i suck at the game because i always go out of my way to torture pac-man
Me and my brothers loved this game when we were kids it was halarious
7:19 On the SNES or the sega genesis?

What is your opinion on the Pac-Man World games?
Pac-Man World? Opinions?
Never played this game, but I really like Pac's animations. They're really expressive.
Finding things to eat makes me happy, too
Oh man I loved this game soooo much as a kid. Nothing better than goining in and ruining Pacman's day lol
I always liked the anime style graphics. If you notice, much of this games people and towns folk are done in an anime art style
I love this game. So much.
Great video, Duke! =)
i loved torturing pacman with that slingshot. when he turns around and yells at you it's so funny
Still makes me feel bad just seeing that animation again xD
He got mad you hit the rock because it's his best friend
nice pac-man 2 : the new adventures - 1994 sega genesis - the 8-bite duke !!!
90's Pac-Man Fever was more of a rage that I loved so much bought it again for genisis $5
3:42 me: Wow pac man you kiss ms pac man with that mouth
I had to get online to find out the order for inserting the cards. This game is beyond hilarious.
Can I make russian subtitles for this video?
Great video man keep it up
Peck Mem 2
3:40 Oh so him eating literal ghosts in a daily basis isn't gross?
I'm a 13 year old and this game is one of my favorites, so it isn't nostalgia lol.
Mine pizza....donkey Kong's other favorite snack. Those terribly maintained mines make you hungry
Pac Mania and Pac Man Arrangements (Arcade, not the Namco Battle Museum version although that is kind of cool though would have been nice if they gave it another name for the sake of avoiding confusion)
Why all the Pac-Man recently 8-bit Duke? I wish the museum came out on Wii U! :(
You have a PC, why don't just download Steam and buy from there?
I played this alot back in the day as well, it was a very frustrating game at times too!
5:20 ok?
those pictures those are you?
You're not disappointed, are you?
not at all. your are good looking dude.
I like the thumbnail.
It may ruin the hotdog but it's too funny not to do
It's his pet rock
I agree with you bro and I'm old school and I still am and I will always be old school cause I grew up with 1980's even tho I from the 2000's
you know pac man is not always in a maze

Pac-crime......together we'll crack it
Great video! I'd love to see you review the 3D Pac-Man series, Pac-Man World.
Pac-man is absolutely manio-drepressive in this one, this game would be better if Pac weren't so busy scolding the player xD
I am OK with this game, I bought both 16 bit versions of the game for my collection due to the personality this game has. No, it's not traditional Pac-Man, but Namco's always tried to innovate with their mascot, and they managed to innovate beyond the norm for this game.
Mine pizza.....donkey kong's second favorite treat.....gotta eat something in those badly matained mines

This game is great
Duke, I would love to see your review of Pac-Man World 2! Such an underrated platformer, IMO
I like it to
I extremely Love Pac-Man! Love almost every game.
I love SNES Version of Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures
SNES Colour Is better than Sega Genesis
@@phauloriquelme2657 especially the "red lasers" in the lab.... its just better on SNES.
I hated this game as a kid, was confusing and boring. I'd probs like it more now though
hé ! hi lonely goomba !

The super Nintendo version is a lot better such as soundtrack and graffiti
Yes.
Nathan Burneau nah genesis is better hey at least you don't die so often.
For soundtrack I honestly prefer the snes but i respect ur opinion if u prefer the genesis version.
The ghost witch is probably the worst videogame villain ever what is this wizards of pac-land
