- G'day folks!
Well after a long, long time between videos, with all manner of roadblocks thrown up in front of me, from financial to muscle injury, nerve impingement (and the subsequent and ongoing treatment recovery), and totally inconsistent weather, I can finally upload the final Gypsy Wagon video!
I hope you enjoy it. I hope you've enjoyed the whole series as much as I've enjoyed creating it. Thank you for subscribing, for your thumbs ups and shares and thank you for your patience.
As always folks, stay well.
Cheers,
Mark.
Links for the products I used in this video are below. I have no affiliation with these companies, I bought them all. Worth a browse though if you're into that kind of stuff.

I cannot believe we are coming to the end of this build, mark it has been a absolute privilege sitting back in the uk watching you slowly bring this beautiful wagon to life. I will definitely keep subscribed to your channel, best wishes for the future my friend & thank you for the journey.
Barry.👍👍👍👍
Thanks Barry 🙂
It's the kind of project that could potentially never end, decoratively speaking. But I'm happy with my end result.
Brilliant crafting. Congratulations on a top job. Next objective is to go on a trip! Cheers 👍🏻🙏🦘
Thanks Graham. I'd love to see it travelling along a track.
So great to see you back. Amazing creation, finally executed and perfectly concluded. This was an incredible journey, I really appreciated your towing demonstration. My wife and I had a bet going, she said you just built a tiny house with some wheels under it, I maintained that it is a functional vardo, and I was rewarded! Thanks Mark, I look forward to your next project.
Thanks Jeffery 🙂
I was pretty chuffed at how well it tracked/travelled behind the van. And that was on soft paddock ground. It'd be great on gravel/dirt tracks.
It really does look cozy inside and I'm loving all the details outside. I'm sorry to see this series end, but I can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks for watching 🙂
I'm gonna take my time, relax and ponder what could be next.
I really do love how you added extra touches with the birds on the outside and the extra painting detail it feels so much more authentic
Splendid. Eye candy. Thanks for the journey!
Thanks for watching 🙂
Congrats. Beautiful work. I hate to see this end, and am thrilled to see it finished. Thanks for letting the world have a peek.
Much thanks Astro 🙂
Absolutely fantastic build! Very much enjoyed your series. Your passion for creativity is evident in your work! We’ll done, Sir 👍
Thank you Kevin 🙂
It's certainly been an enjoyable experience for me.
Absolutely lovely! Thanks for sharing the journey!
No problem. Thanks Kathy 🙂
A beautiful job, and something to be proud of.
Thanks Jim 🙂
Hello! We are thoroughly enjoying your gypsy caravan build..well done👏
In 1997 my husband and I visited Selborne UK and met Peter Ingram, who restored the wagons and had a gypsy caravan museum..he also had a camp fire and showed us his expertise cracking the whip. He published a book called Wagtail Tale (gypsy life of bygone days) in 2014 but I haven’t been able to track it down. Never give up☺
@TerryJANSEN Hello back. Glad you're enjoying the build. 🙂
The book sounds interesting, hopefully you can find it.
What a beautiful work of art. Thank you for sharing. Look forward to seeing your next project.
And thank you for watching Bhache 🙂
well ol mate i tips me lid to ya , bloody awsome job my friend , im looking forward to what ever the next adventoure is going to be .

Beautiful, original, spectacular! Looking forward to the next project.
Thank you Gail 🙂
This is my dream castle~ well done! you are my hero!
Wow, a beautiful thing beautifully filmed. I watched with a touch of sadness that it’s over for us. Thank you.
Thank you AR 🙂
It's been a very enjoyable project for me, I'm glad others feel the same way 🙂
Oh man! Just found the channel. That thing is FABULOUS!
Only a picky artistic mind can put together such a work of art.
WELL DONE! 😍👍👍
Thank you, glad you've enjoyed it 🙂
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤗😍 I’m actually teary eyed, congratulations beautiful job Red.
Well done. Enjoy 🙏
Thank you Lemmi 🙂
Now that is awesome bird design, love that.🥰
Great Job! It was a nice journey to follow, as I am preparing to try to build one myself. ( But a Canadian version !)
This was inspiring!!! Thank you, Nicolas from Montreal Canada
Thanks Nicolas.
All the best your project, and have fun with it. 🙂
Really enjoyed your build and lovely approach to it ,looking forward to your next projekt
Thanks John. 🙂
Absolutely awesome! I love your detail, the beautiful glass details, everything!
Thank you Cindy 🙂
If the dangle brothers had built this. ... They would have earned thousands from UA-cam for the video
It's a shame genuine craftsmen like yourself can't.
Great wagon dude..
Thanks Steve.
Hmm, I had to look them up, hadn't come across them before.
Well, I think I made about a hundred bucks over the last few months...I'm hot on their heels! 🙂
Thanks for watching. 👍
@@RedPathRambler
Ha ha I won't even look at their videos and give them another view.
Yeah I can't fit them in to my own viewing schedule.
this has been an interesting build ,enjoyed watching every episode ,thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, all the best 🙂
I absolutely love the curtain.. I wish you had enough to do all of the places that need curtains in that fabric❤
I am also building a Gypsy wagon, though mine is designed for use at highway speeds here in the US. The stencil tape is a wonderful idea! I hope I can find a supplier.
All the best with your build Gail. I have this saying that I use when I'm struggling to find something I need at retail stores here in Australia, "Damn it, I bet it's on the shelf in bulk at Home Depot!"
Because I just assume no matter what it is, you can get it in the US. Anyway, if you can't find stencil options there, there's a couple of links in the description box below my video.
Good luck 🙂
I can see my gypsy kids pulling this ❤
Wow...Worth the wait, you have produced a thing of beauty and joy.
Loved every episode with your humor skill and resourcefulness !
Wishing you happy times and don't go cutting that hair now its done gypsy.
Thanks Christopher 🙂
My hair aims are now to achieve eccentric old man hair, so I'm never cutting it!
Same to you for happy times. 👍
Just discovered your channel, an absolute beaut channel. Now going back watching all past videos and loving it. Great filming, editing and love the music choice. Well done on the vardo, obviously a labour of love. Looking forward to more great videos. Greetings from Sydney 😊
Thanks Di, glad you're enjoying them. 🙂
Yes it was a labour of love. I've had to let go of the emotional attachment to it however...I now have it up for sale.
This was really so much fun to watch thank you for sharing your experience Ace hard work ❤
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Mad skills, sir. Very beautiful.
Thanks for watching. 🙂
Really enjoyed watching the build, as im working on my gypsy wagon but at 1:12 scale.
What is this, a Gypsy Wagon for ants?!
...Sorry Georgina, I just had to use a Zoolander reference there.
I'm not a model maker myself but I love them.
I'm glad you you enjoyed the videos. 🙂
@@RedPathRambler like you were, I'm struggling with the painted decoration part at the moment it's all green on the outside and mainly cream on the inside, apart from the ceiling which is blue with gold stars.
🤯 O. M. G . ‼‼‼
👀 A work of art 👍
Thank you SO MUCH for
sharing this TREASURE👏
🤩I absolutely LOVE it💙
☝You Sir are, 🏅a TRUE ARTIST 👨🎨
Can't wait to See The next Project
you come up with❔ Will it top this
one of a kind MASTER PIECE 🏆⁉⁉⁉
Thank you Corvus 🙂
Good question, can I top this project? I would like to think I could. Ideas aren't my problem, only the lack of funds. I need to win lotto! 🙂
Excellent job. Great end result.
Thanks mate 🙂
Don't kill me, but I wish the spindles all around matched the back door.. I just love your back door so much
You did a great job and have created a beautiful Australian-styled Gypsy Wagon. There is a resemblance to the Burton wagon and also a bit of the Reading wagon but you have deviated enough to make your wagon unique and you must be proud of your effort. Now! have you any idea how much it has cost you to build.? would be interested to know.
Thank you John. Yes, I did use elements of both the Burton and Reading designs, structural wise. And yeah, what it did cost me? Well, I'm still yet to tally that up. For some reason I keep pushing that aside, I don't know why exactly, there seems to be a part of me that doesn't really want to know, but at the same time I do want to know. I have a tonne of receipts to sort through, but I also bought things, like second hand things, that often didn't come with a receipt. For now though, I know I spent thousands, I just can't say how many. Maybe I should get onto it...
You did an awesome, authentic job! I wish we lived somewhat closer, I'd have you make for me.
Thank you Cindy 🙂
Your caravan is so beautifully done
I love the new pattern you put around your wagon and the birds! I love your curtain!
Thanks Hadassah, glad to enjoyed it 🙂
Is there a Porta Potty? I loved following this series. Very inspiring. What about a Boat House?
No Porta Potty...but I'm sure one could be utilised with some configuration.
I've often thought about a Boat House project. Would be a great project. 🙂
Your wagon is really beautiful.
Thank you Shelley 🙂
I assure you, I admire your handiwork - & the intelligence I recognize you have to have created this.
That looks real good.🥰
The first thing is use what you already have in your inventory that is on hand it’s free right.🥰
Absolutely. Try to spend as little money as possible.
Beautiful fantastic work. Wish you lived closer so I could pick your brain, but why would you choose to live away from your stunning property?love the animals. I never saw the other caravan in its finished state!cheers.
Thanks Angela 🙂
What other caravan do you refer to?
@RedPathRambler maybe I'm mietaken ,you had used beautiful antique modified furniture. Thinking it over I do recognize the windows. Don't stay away so long next time so I can keep up with you.beautiful work. What do you plan to do with it now?.I think I'll send you a picture of my caravan. Finished it one year ago took it on its maiden voyage last summer, my dog cat and I had a wonderful 2 weeks camping. Plan on same trip this summer. Take care of yourself. Your skill in so rare.not to mention your sense of humor.
@@angelaratzay9034 Unfortunately I have sold the Gypsy Wagon. I needed to recoup my costs. But that's ok, onward and upward, I can move forward on greater goals. Also unfortunately I don't currently have a project on the go. I'm bogged down in boring bread and butter income work.
Reading in the comments someone called you Mark and watching the video a second time I heard you call yourself Mark
I’m sorry in my comment I called you Red. I thought that was name or maybe your nickname. Hope I didn’t offend you.
Anyway, great job Mark!
While your coming up with a next new idea I think I’ll rewatch some of your previous videos to keep your viewership up.
That's totally fine Lemmi...I'm calling you Lemmi cause that's all I have to go on 🙂
Red has been a occasional nickname as it's the first half of my surname...which can be deduced from my channel name...I put a gap there in the beginning to be ambiguous 🙂
Thanks for the rewatching! I'm not the most out and out promoter.

It is beautiful.🥰
Really enjoyed, what are your plans for it? The lights under the carnage really cool.
Thanks Roy 🙂
Well, as much as I'd like to keep it, unfortunately I'll be putting it up for sale, to recoup my costs (I still haven't tallied that up yet).
Make a nice Airbnb
@@RedPathRambler
I watched every video and it inspired me to build a replica of a vardo but nothing like the detail you have gone to. My channel is Classic Car Cave. Cheers Dave
Cheers Dave, I'll check it out.
So for one change the color it might give a better idea on other designs you might want to try.
gorgeous,
I liked the first one the best.
The first of which Dixie?
@@RedPathRambler I’m sorry. I opened my mouth, then realized I had just watched the video that showed an abbreviated version, but, start to finish. I was so impressed. My late husband was a trim carpenter who never looked at a project with the idea he couldn’t fix it. So, fix it he did.
Chasing Rabbits. Ok I saw that I was picking up in the middle, and I really liked the final choice. Sorry for the confusion.
It was the design around the edges.
Your imagination is amazing. Loved what I had a chance to see, will go back and watch more when I can.
@Dixienell No worries, glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Yes, there's nothing that can't be fixed or done that a little thought and imagination will solve.
Are you plugged in and do you have solar panel to help run electric it is a beautiful
Thanks for watching. 🙂
It's wired like a modern caravan, with a 15amp power inlet. No solar, but could be easily done.
It’s to girly for me too.
goof job, where is the toilet?
Optional extra.
When you need to go bathroom. How do you do?.@@RedPathRambler
Well the idea would be to park this up in a desired location and a build a separate shower/amenities block beside or near it. There simply was never enough room to include it the wagon.
