Chaunice Figueiredo I understand you wanting to help her embrace her curls (I mean I follow the curly method myself) but some people still prefer to straighten their hair and it’s ok. It’s a lot of upkeep compared to a wash, blow, and press every week of two. I also feel that embracing your curly hair is a personal journey cause everyone told me to keep my curls but I still flat ironed them and begged my mom to take me to get a relaxer.

Oh you go girl! I wore box braids earlier this year but only with my own hair as it was short at the time. All I ever did was apply some growth oils into my scalp and rub it in. My hair always gets frizzy when I leave them in braids or cornrows but I think that's normal because my new growth is coming through so after 4 or 5 weeks I take them down. I never leave a protective style in for longer than 6 weeks because I'm scared of severely tangled knots!

Huge thumbs up, YES! A Shea Moisture review would be really nice!.
I usually use a spray bottle to dampen my scalp first and then I may add oil. The water makes a difference in the itchiness. I think it gets itchy because it has tension from the braids but also because it isn't getting product or water at all. Water is everything and moisturizes my scalp really well. I think the oil works like a sealant once my scalp is damp from the water.

My first time getting triangle part box braids I loved the simplicity that came with them as well! Seeing yours I'm about to get my some now because this Florida heat and humidity my curls are not loving lol. I would LOVE for you to review the Shea Moisture protective style line! I used the oil for my itchiness but none of the other products.

I appreciate this video for many reasons. Other than the fact that I myself need this video. I can always learn something new. I appreciate this video because you’re audience isn’t just POC and there’s always a discussion sometimes even arguments when WOC are approached by other races about how we keep our natural hair to our protective styles. And sometimes we don’t have the best way to communicate, but here we can add input, anyone can ask questions without fear or backlash because people are honestly interested. We ourselves are getting answers so we can next time answer someone else. I hope I’m making sense lol. I just love your channel and how you do things and how our family is ❤️
For 4 hours that’s not bad at all, I got large braids and they took 3 hours. They are super cute 😍 and I love the multi color. Yes do s review on the products pleaseeee!! Idk where I can find them I don’t see them anywhere.

When i get protective styles depending on the style (“box” braids feed in faux locs) i keep them a month or 6 weeks locs i keep the longest at almost 3 months
They came out sooooo pretty. My mama use to do my braids and them were TOIGHT!!! 🤣But would loosen the next day, and would last for weeks. She hasn't braided my hair since I've been natural (3yrs) but recently I installed (myself) some Senegalese twist...it's not the same. 🤧 they came out really good, but I like when my mama does it.
