Regarding the Plasmasword, it's power has always been on the weaker end. It's entire benefit is setting pawns on fire. And as we all know, pawns that have been set on fire lose collision, leading to broken defensive lines and being surrounded by enemies. The Sparksaber being more powerful than it makes sense, I think a more fair comparison would've been between the Sparksaber and the Monosword.
Sparksaber also according to steam workshop page has a chance to stun, I think I forgot to mention in the video… so I compared the 2 because of the visual similarities and the stat affect as well!
due to effective stun it can be OP in very specific scenarios (1v1 boss battles) but otherwise yeah... pretty much trash
You could just use tinctoria to change the armour colours.
Dam i didnt knew you can change colors of armor. Such usefull advice!

That's the only mod I'm not using, because I'm a projectiles guy, haha.
I got Rimmu-Nation, Eccentric, Rimfactory for that sweet shelfless spaceship experience, RH2 (without VOID though, cause we need to get the Tanaka somehow, right?) complete VE including Helixien, Dub's mods and for all the different Armors in the Game I use EVA Autopatcher und Character Editor if I think they should withstand vacuum and or get a speed boost and so on.
Fair, what does the EVA auto patcher do? Not actually heard of that one!
._. i have like 190 other mods than sos2 and like 4 mods that add glitterworld things and there are no issues

How many of those mods add content to SOS2? This armour becomes EVA armour when the 2 mods are used together. And how many mods do you see that actually advertise they add stuff in tandem with SOS2?
@Kingallhobos none lol. I use sos2 as like letting me complete the game but keep playing so I mostly have mods that go through tribal-spacer
@@Kingallhobos With EVA Patcher, you can make a lot of modded armor EVA capable. My SOS2 boarding party mostly uses Siegebreaker armor from Vanilla Armours Expanded.
Plasma rifle is a trap. Yes, it is good for getting out of combat dangerous enemies(like snipers, rocket lounchers or something more dangerous added by modes) 5 shots with a chance to set target on fire is just amazing BUT in my case this weapon saved me 2 times from snipers and also burned those sniper rifles... so use it carefully to not lose valuable loot.
Sonic gun is must-have if you are playing with "simple warants" it can help to stun lock target and then beat the shit out of it. Also it is good if there is one particular enemy that you want to take alive or stop him(like trumbo, if you have this gun hunting them become a little easier)
I am not sure, but can't you just paint the armor with dye? I just don't understand what you wanted to say in that part of video, like you couldn't color them and needed to spawn each color?

Yeah, tried that one before. Placed it in a modpack, tried for literally one combat and immediately removed.

Armor is just weird, didn't even care to try it. As with any mod - would like a stuffable version.
Interested what you mean by 0/10 efficiency? And same honestly I like the design of the armour and the balance choices but I probably wouldn’t end up using it

This mod is oppressively mid in terms of efficiency, it is outclassed by both high tech mods and vanilla stuffed weapons made of modded materials. As for it's actual combat performance - can't handle crowds with cc weapons that stun or set on fire, can't do much damage with big hitters since their accuracy is super bad, armor pen is only good if you don't compare it to any of the vanilla weapons expanded and don't even try comparing them to rimsenal.
The test I did was one of the caravan adventures cites with both raiders and mechs, if you're interested. Used several pawns in attomachinery capes (making them invincible) from archotech expanded, it was really slow and most or enemy raid's escaped under barrage that cound't do anything, after which mechs took over an hour to clean up, basic charge lances would do way better.
@@DeadKavaiol I dunno about all of them being mid, but I played it with yayo's combat 3 and the Clash HMG was just pure absurd. The rest though wasn't really great, especially the coil lance.
@@NeithQuill brother that's like saying it's good in CE. Yayo's combat is a combat overhaul, it rebalances every weapon it interacts with, so it's balance is entirely local.
I'm not saying your comment is pointless, but it's valid only for Yayo and may as well be localized to Yayo's combat steam comments)
Pretty sure all of theese weapons will be good in Yayo due to armor rebalance, similarly to CE it makes true invincibility possible but severely nerfs every single armor item in the game, making every mid weapon lethal
@@DeadKavaiol I see, my apologies then. I wasn't well acquainted with Rimworld's vanilla combat system due to immedietely jumping into mods after a few hours of playing. I assumed Yayo's combat closely resembled Vanilla rimword's and didn't realize the impact it has on weapon and armor balance.
