On my second mission, I ended up accidentally doing it at night, the scariest shit I’ve done, running around with a flashlight and having to put it away to reload in total darkness while something his chasing you is terrifying
Hearing the deep distorted voice and footsteps echoing in a dark building as a mimic hunter searches for you is honestly one of the most intense things I've ever experienced playing a game. After mag dumping my Glock into the first hunter and killing him, I realized I had been flanked by two of the fast, barely visible, stalkers and had to very quickly reload and take them out. Only then to start taking shotgun fire from a 2nd hunter who somehow missed both shots which gave me time to pin him down and get to cover. I reloaded again and mag dumped a 3rd magazine into him as he charge my cover and I was able to kill him. I was literally breathing heavy and shaking afterwards. Having been in EMS and having real guns in play on scenes, it brought back some feelings I hadn't had in a while and it was dope AF!
I will not go out at night. It's just too impossible to see anything. And my mosin's scope has terrible low light performance. It would be cool to get Night Vision goggles (or at the very least... A night vision scope or spotter). But black enemies against an incredibly dark environment is a no go for me. I'm a 900h to 1800h looter.
@@crooker2 night mission The 3rd area isn't bad since it never gets totally dark. Pobeda factory is terrifying at night and Bolotsky Village is the worst with the darkness + fog. My recommendation is to spend a lot of time at the range in the shoot house. Get really good at quick draw firing and flashlight + pistol combat. Get familiar with dropping mags and reloading and also replenishing magazines on the fly.
Magazine management is very very important. Having the right mags at your fingertips and ensuring they're refilled and replaced when you need them is critical. Get good at removing a magazine, putting it in your side pouch, pulling a new mag and replacing it quickly. Re organize your ammo during the quiet times and you should have no issues during the intense fire fights.
Lol I actually just bought the game off of 0 information a few days ago and I've been completely hooked! The feeling of panic where I realize my gun has jammed or I've run out of ammo is a great gameplay feature. I always find myself frantically grabbing at my backpack to pull out what i call the "emergency shotgun" for spiders and seekers that I just didn't have time to prepare for. Great video!
The issue I have with it is that I can't keep playing once I get missions in Podeba or Kolkhoz because I'm too scared to convince myself to press on! I'm a big S.T.A.L.K.E.R fan and this game is super fun, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R isn't nearly as intense as actually seeing a pitch black demon teleport towards you as you are being shot by a police officer monster that is singing lullabies in a low pitched demonic voice as you run out of bullets and start trying to defend yourself with a rusty broken down knife.
I highly recommend switching to the GSH-18 as quickly as possible if you are a new player. It takes the same ammo as the makarov (9x18) and has 18 round magazines (plus 1 in the chamber) instead of 8 round mags. It also has illuminated sights, and is accessible at security level 1 (the easiest level to get since it's basically handed to you on a silver plate).
@@zaccampa4055 I took the Glock 17 almost immediately after the first mission. I thought that the damage of a weapon depends only on the caliber, and not on the weapon itself. Cheaper ammunition probably makes sense. thanks for the advice

I bought my first ever VR headset in the form of the Meta Quest 3 a few weeks ago and this was the very first game I bought for it after hearing a lot of different sources recommending it. For anyone who's completely new to VR like me, I can totally understand the appeal of this game and why so many rate it so highly. I can also see why players pump so many hours into it. Once you get a grip on some of the basic mechanics, it does start to draw you in. I can definitely see some of the differences between the standalone version I play on the Q3 and this video of the PCVR version which looks a bit more polished which is to be expected but there's not a gaping chasm of a difference. I've barely scratched the surface of the game but thus far but the atmosphere is great, the sound effects are fantastic and the game definitely likes to mess with your head, especially during nighttime excursions when you hear footsteps and whispers; it makes you very paranoid and twitchy. Finding a couple of snack bars and a few bullets in a cupboard feels like Christmas every time to me.
@RadiusRick1 Before I bought the Q3 with the intention of playing standalone, I looked into the different VR avenues with the pros and cons of each; including the prospect of buying a PS5 and PSVR2 and PCVR. The main thing that put me off PCVR was when it dawned on me the overall cost of a decent gaming rig. An entry-level gaming rig would be pointless for VR. I had the funds to splurge on a monster rig if I wanted to but I thought it would be crazy to go to those lengths just to play VR; especially not knowing if ultimately I would be suited to VR as some people seemingly aren't. I also like the flexibility and ease of a standalone VR device. I think it's hard in some ways to judge the quality of a VR gameplay video purely from a flatscreen visual unless you're actually experiencing it through a VR headset. If do you get to experience the Q3 standalone version of ITR, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and comparisons between that and the PCVR version.
This game is really unique. There’s lots of games that do a single aspect of VR gameplay well, but ITR manages to combine all of them into a single incredibly immersive experience.

It's kind of frustrating how little attention ITR has gotten from a lot of bigger VRtubers (the exception being Habie). Everyone keeps raving about unfinished games like Bonelab and B&S, and social games like VRChat, but complete experiences like this just aren't given real recognition. I think it has a lot to do with this obsession with "hyper immersion" in VR, and I think it's partly why VR gets a bad rap for not having proper gaming experiences. I really like that ITR was willing to sacrifice some immersive and realistic elements for the sake of making the game more playable. It knows what it needs to get right. Not being able to climb everything is negligible when the gunplay and handling is so good

Take it slow. Make use of daytime. Sleep in the shelters until morning. Until you get the headlamp and more used to the game. Nighttime is scary for the first while.
Speaking as someone who's not a fan of most horror games, and especially jumpscares, I love Into the Radius. It's a game that will scare you, no doubt, but it's open ended and doesn't use cheap scripted jumpscares or railroaded scenes like most horror games. The fright factor is more a fear of the unknown, and a general sense of tension and peril. But it's a game where you gradually become familiar with and learn to handle the dangers of the game better and better as you go on, with older areas that once used to feel hostile and intimidating, later feeling like your own casual hunting grounds.
Bought the quest 2 version. And downloaded it onto pc as well through the cross buy, seems like the pc version is one update behind tho, anyone knows if they will update it? Aand if perhaps cross save will be a feature one day?
I refunded the game initially because I peed my pants in the tutorial but because of this video I’m going to try again, but with a friend for moral support.
I cannot get used to the fact that you cannot lean your head over things like desks. It completely takes me out of it every time. The rest of the game seemed so good
It does have the gravity glove mechanic (that valve actually took inspiration from and added it to HL:A when reworking the game) so this honestly isn't that much of an issue as long as you have visual sight of the thing you're trying to loot.
Even at full price, YES. Yes it is. There, saved you 5 minutes and 55 seconds. (Lol Nice, Rick.) But still watch the video and leave a like and a comment to help grow this channel!
0:25 I have no idea why this bugs me so much, but for whatever reason the maps on both quest and PCVR are nearly identical, but somehow Quest doesn’t have this tiny shack in pervomay route.

NOOOOO this game took allready like 50 Hours of my live 😂
I think the "hears" in your title was supposed to be "here's"
Lol good catch. Saved me some embarrassment.
Yo Rick, I understand if it's not coming back, but will the Discord ever see a return?
Hey paper it's good to see you again. it may make a return but i'd like to focus on videos for a bit in any case i'm glad to see you again:)
@@RadiusRick1 Glad to see you too man, can't wait for the next vid!
First VR game I got. Just finished it last night, 10/10 hands down, next is saints and sinners.
Ghosts of tabor is fairly similar, but more like tarkov. Definitely recommend it. Despite it being in app labs, it's a brilliant and addictive game!!!
@@simonewing4222 It wasn’t on my headset at the time but it is now. I have the quest 2 lol. I might give it a try at some point but personally I’m not particularly interested in PVP in VR I would definitely much more towards co-op
This game is genuinely terrifying.
do you have any tips for me i just got the game and my friends told me theres a jumpscares i really dont wanna make floor have yellow stain so i was going to ask if u have any tips on over coming my fear with just the game because i really want to play it
Take it slow.
But it's a game where you gradually become familiar with and learn to handle the dangers of the game better and better as you go on, with older areas that once used to feel hostile and intimidating, later feeling like your own casual hunting grounds.
when did this guy come back?
Been a long time coming.
Wait wait I thought you disappeared I even mentioned you once on synthetizard stream
This game nails atmosphere. Nothing is more paranoia inducing than being stalked in the dark and running low on ammo.
100% best VR game
Bought the quest 2 version. And downloaded it onto pc as well through the cross buy, seems like the pc version is one update behind tho, anyone knows if they will update it? Aand if perhaps cross save will be a feature one day?
I refunded the game initially because I peed my pants in the tutorial but because of this video I’m going to try again, but with a friend for moral support.
Well I did it and I can personally say this is by far the greatest vr game I have ever played
👋🍞
🍞👋
🍞🫵🤘.
🍞 👍
I cannot get used to the fact that you cannot lean your head over things like desks. It completely takes me out of it every time. The rest of the game seemed so good
@@milofour when you try and move your head over an object like a table it will move you back a few inches, really annoying when you're trying to loot
It does have the gravity glove mechanic (that valve actually took inspiration from and added it to HL:A when reworking the game) so this honestly isn't that much of an issue as long as you have visual sight of the thing you're trying to loot.
let’s gooooo
Even at full price, YES. Yes it is. There, saved you 5 minutes and 55 seconds. (Lol Nice, Rick.) But still watch the video and leave a like and a comment to help grow this channel!
I can't put this game down. Its too good. 500 hours in so far.
YESSSSSS !!!
0:25 I have no idea why this bugs me so much, but for whatever reason the maps on both quest and PCVR are nearly identical, but somehow Quest doesn’t have this tiny shack in pervomay route.
Idk if you will see this but is this game still worth it as of now im on quest 2 btw
@ idk about quest 2, since I played mostly on Q3, but from what I did play on Q2, it was great. If you want a challenging, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Like experience, this is absolutely for you. I loved it when I played it, and still do.
@ thanks man I have exactly 30 for a new game and theres not much else catching my eye yk and I love survival games so I think I would enjoy it thank you man frl
@ you’re welcome, hope you enjoy.
Ik this is a really late comment but, is this game still worth it in 2024 as of now Im on quest 2 btw
Still waiting for it to come out to psvr2 😭😂
everytime i take damage i would rather take 5 minutes to load over and over so i don’t take damage rather than use healing items
i mean i guess it is but the spam crashing is real
Bro what happened to you, I loved your videos but then you just disappeared and I couldn’t find you
artefacts? basic survival mechanics? intense firefights? extreme jank? this is just stalker.......
any 1's game is also lagging really badly nowadays? because for me its unplayable
No bc itr2 is on the horizon
Drawers and cabinets are what made me stop playing. If it's improved, maybe I will give it another shot!
PlayStation fools are just getting radius 1 now Sept 2024
Into the Radius is a perfect FPS game because of its gameplay, story, and free roam world
Edit: you also shoot black peo- I mean fragments
I bought it yesterday and refunded it yesterday it's to slow and boring
Guess it just wasnt your type of game, i understand that some people have extremely short attention spans.
If anybody complains about 30 dollars for something like this, when big macs in california are 13 bucks… you probably need to get a job. 👍🏼 get a job guys. 30 bucks is dirt cheap for this technology!
You just ball on and buy some codes and put em here big dawg
@@ba6561 that's not the point, point is get a job so you don't have to beg and complain. Little dawg
