Great guide, you even include actual physical excercises which is often overlooked by others. (I'd shorten the intros just a little tho.)

Fantastic video! Love the attention to detail. I especially appreciated when you explained what direction of movement each exercise helps to resist, and that connected very nicely with the example you showed of that epic boardslide from the legend. As a kinaesthetic learner that helped drive the points home. And it was funny... quantum astro-physics 😂

That shoulder angle is key I think; I tend to feel way more stable in boardslides when my shoulders are more disconnected from my hips. Hips perpendicular to the rail, shoulders turned more toward parallel with rail. Almost like my shoulders don't turn much from approach through the slide, but mainly just torso pivots. I feel less likely to slip out backward and my landings are cleaner.

87.3 degrees is probably quite accurate as you turn in toward the rail just before you pop. BS board is easy. I don't FS board at all. Can't seem to find the sweet spot. I either stick and fall back or slide out and go face first. I could never roller skate backwards either. When I started skating, no one rode fakie or switch, it was just full force forward shredding. Any tips or good balance exercises for FS board, nose and tail?

Great video. I've basically done the first step in just ollieing up to some board stalls, but next sesh I will definitely do some more with a focus on absorbing the impact and getting more comfortable. I do try to throw out boardslides sometimes to see if I can do it, and I can get the board on top of the rail with my front foot, but I always have the problem of immediately taking my back foot off and not actually being on the board. The hardest part for me is committing to actually staying on the board when it gets on the rail. Do you have any tips or advice for committing to that? I am sure doing a long sesh of those board stalls, especially with a turning ollie, will help, but I'm wondering if there's anything else you'd recommend.

Cheers for the comment mate! I would work through the skate tasks to see if they'll help. I feel like they'll help with the prob you're describing. Let me know how you get on
