For anyone who knows anything about hockey, UMD's arena and Maricuci are iconic in their own right but the Ralph takes the cake no doubt. It's honestly disrespectful to list any other choice
The yost is nice and has a lot of history, but I mean come on bench seats in the interior compared to cherry wood, luxury cushioned leather seats in the ralph? You gotta be joking. Not saying the ralph is the best but come on it’s better than the Yost
@@mroberts566 the Ralph has unreal amenities, aesthetics, and history. Every hosted a world Junior championship in the yost? No, and Michigan hockey has only been playing there since the 70s.
Who made this video and has University of North Dakota 2nd is crazy and easily best college and better then most NHL arenas and Ive been to many. Built by former player and billionaire Ralph Engelstad who spared no expense, amazing arena!
I’m not sure if anyone has actually been to notre dames ice rink but the arena is way nicer then yost because of the atmosphere in the rink there’s no bleachers and it’s bigger and I’m someone who’s played on the notre dame rink with my youth team at a tournament and it was the nicest I’ve seen but this is my opinion
The Ralph would be one of the top five NHL arenas and this list should only have 2-10 listed as no rink in the Nation except for a few NHL rinks can touch The Ralph
Sorry, the old Marriucci/Hockey side of Williams Arena at University of Minnesota was the greatest arena in college hockey Old, dingy, dirty, players dressed in basement rooms and had to share the same staircase up to the ice plus Gophers had to go on and off the ice through the visitors bench (and Bill Butters took on the entire Colorado College team as he was being lead off the ice by the refs after a game misconduct). Plus best fresh pop corn and ice cream! I understand college sports is now all about the money but I saw a lot of great games there from 1962 until the new arena opened.
Talking about history here and that old barn feeling. You can have the new corporate feels arena zThe Ralph.Marucci,Kohl,Compton nothing unique about them.Yost has history and the visiting crowd hates it.
@@jamesfox5105 yeah, the Michigan partisans invoke the old "Yost has character" line. "Character is usually invoked when you got nothing else to point to. Kind of like UND fans who used to say "-30 degrees keeps the riff raff out". And the Ralphbis hardly corporate. Corporate is not a plush enough adjective to describe the hockey cathedral of the north.....
It's funny how many college hockey fans hate Matthew's arena so that one is subjective but there are many great arenas out there. As far as the state of Connecticut I prefer Quinnipiacs arena over Yale any day of the week, mainly because the bleacher seats are freaking torture.
Everyone knows the Ralph is the best college hockey arena it puts some nhl areans to shame
Yup it sure has that corporate feeling like Compton,Marucci and Kohl. Give me something with history like Yost.
it puts the nhl coyotes rink to shame lol

It says it’s based on amenities, aesthetics, and history. This is not a list of fanciest arenas. GTFOH. Go Blue.
@@mroberts566 in that case the history of the old Barn at UND in the 1960's would reign Supreme. It was always colder inside the barn than out....

Yost... Really... Yost Ice area looks like the inside of Hitler's bunker.
GOOOO BLUUEEEEEEEEE
but not hitler
Was wondering how Yost did so well in the ranking.....
Nice job buddy! Missed the name and capacity on the Michigan stadium. Maybe a quick annotation? Go Sioux!

What do you mean? The name is right, Yost Ice Arena.

Wrong...but you'll be ok
So how does Yost even compare?
Yost is better.
Ralph is the best by a mile lmaoo
I’m literally there all the time I lived there Ralph Ingleston

Been to Khol Center like 5 times
Yost isn’t top 10 let alone #1 on any yardstick. As a DU fan I say Ralph is #1 without a doubt.
The Ralph would be one of the top five NHL arenas and this list should only have 2-10 listed as no rink in the Nation except for a few NHL rinks can touch The Ralph
Ridiculous. It’s like half the size of an NHL arena. Come on.
Hate Michigan hockey (go Gophers) but Yost is hands down the most beautiful arena in hockey
Alfond?
I played in youth rinks and high school rinks that looked better than yost

All these wonderfull arena to play with a fucking full face.

I’m a Minnesota guy, but North Dakota’s arena is by far the best one, Michigan’s is horrible 😂
That's an idiotic statement. Kudos
Michigan's is history. If you want a corporate rink watch the nhl.
