I PROBABLY HAVE BEEN TO TWICE OR THREE TIMES AS MANY AS YOU HAVE IN YOUR LIFETIME AND MACKEY ARENA IS BY FAR THE BEST COLLEGE BASKETBALL ARENA IN THE COUNTRY THE OTHER ONES DO NOT EVEN COME CLOSE
I know two arenas in the PAC-12 (will be no more after the month of June) that are like Cameron in the baskets are hung… CU Events Center (Colorado) and Maples Pavilion (Stanford).
Thank you for these. I enjoy watching them. Yeah Duke does need a bigger stadium but it is tradition. Jesus Christ loves you and saves (John 3:16; John 14:6)!
Why in the hell isn't Rupp Arena on this list ?! .. Hhmm?,.. I guess the commentator doesn't think there is much college basketball, or winning tradition at Kentucky.
Yes the pavilion 10 out of 10 I go there every year when they play Memphis and it’s a beautiful stadium. Man it gets loud in there !!!!! There isn’t a bad seat in the house!!! Probably one of my favorites.
The Pit at 10 is crazy, beautiful exterior iconic interior and a great environment for basketball, was just in the building last night 15,000 Lobo fans for a 8:15 tip off on a Sunday Have you even been to ABQ bro?
Again. Check out ICCU arena, its like a mini Fiserv Forum on the exterior. The use a lot of wood in it and it looks amazing. Its smaller but it looks great. Exterior and interior looks awesome and they have a practice court that looks beautiful as well.
I’ve been to Gallagher arena and yes the seats are extremely steep, when you’re walking up the stairs it feels like you might fall down. But it’s a very good arena.
Odd fact: The original Gallagher/Iba Arena only sat around 6500 (est.). Oklahoma State fans please reply if I’m off. The expansion was done in the 1990s thus the current size of the arena.
Why does the NCAA always play the First Four play-in games in Dayton?!? Same goes with every other year they host the first and second round games in one of the regions? I said it another video, but every time I think of The Pit at New Mexico, it's the 1983 Men's Championship where NC State wins on a buzzer beater and Jimmy V is running up and down the court finding one of his players to hug and the Houston player slamming his hand on the floor. Someone else said it too but I'm shocked Allen Fieldhouse is way down on this list and I like the Jayhawks. I also like the historic nod to the inventor of the game having lived in the town he was born in (Almonte, Ontario) for a few years and they take pride in honouring Dr. Naismith with a statue. What is the deal with the HUGE logos on the centre of the floor?!?
THE BEST ARENA IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL IS BY FAR MACKEY ARENA THE HOME OF THE PURDUE BOILERMAKERS CAMRON INDOOR IS A HORRIBLE BASKETBALL ARENA THERE IS NOT ONE GOOD THING ABOUT IT
As a big college basketball fan ive always heard tales of teams being terrified to go into The Pavillion at Ole Miss. Lol. And the Carrier Dome is a dang dump.
Chi Health Center host of Creighton Basketball. Has perenially a top 10 attendance per game for college basketball. Attendance talks, really nothing else does. I challenge any teams venue to be louder and more energetic than Creighton's home court. Favorite words to hear hear at a creighton game: "Time out UCONN" second favorite words "Time out villanova".
Also creighton is 4-0 vs UCONN at home since 2020 and 7-2 overall vs the huskies since the huskies joined the big east. Also creighton beat the huskies by nearly 20 points at home which was the biggest defeat UCONN suffered last season.
Allen field house is number one on anyone who knows basketball lists. Best home court advantage there is. World record for loudest indoor arena. The birthplace of basketball. The TRUE Mecca of college basketball
JMA Wireless Dome...better bring binoculars. WAY too far from the action. Also, not fit for purpose. Putting temporary seating at one end because they can't fill it?
These are his personal favorite arenas, not an objective top 10 list of which venue has the best environment or home court advantage. That's why he has Allen Fieldhouse at #9 instead of #1 or #2 where it would normally be.
Bros never been to a college basketball game before and it shows
He really hasn't. Thompson-BOILING Arena. Lol. And I'm no Kansas fan but having Phog Allen at 9 is wild.

What about rupp arena
I love how the baskets hang directly from the ceiling on those huge steel beams in Cameron Indoor. Most arenas have pushable baskets.
I know two arenas in the PAC-12 (will be no more after the month of June) that are like Cameron in the baskets are hung… CU Events Center (Colorado) and Maples Pavilion (Stanford).
No Rupp is crazy
Natural light sucks for basketball arenas.
I agree, this guy hammering on natural lighting
U don’t know ball lil dawg
@@mattharrison9524 Give me your Rucker stats boy boy
You must love Mackey then. Zero natural light inside that bad boy
Only works for classic ones like hinkie and allen fieldhouse but other than that I agree
Everyone in New Mexico refers to their area as The Pit.
I never knew it had a different name
So Rupp Arena, Neville Arena, Bramlage Coliseum, Thompson- Boling Arena, nor KFC Yum Arena made the top 10, but Ole Miss is wow
Ain't no way Rupp wasn't on there??💀
3 of these stadiums being in Indiana just goes to show that college basketball means more to people in the state
Yup. Specially when you see the high school areas.
There is nothing like a Saturday afternoon at Hinkle Fieldhouse
Where is rupp arena
Thank you for these. I enjoy watching them. Yeah Duke does need a bigger stadium but it is tradition. Jesus Christ loves you and saves (John 3:16; John 14:6)!
UD Arena deserves more than "honorable mentions".
Do best college basketball student sections next!
Louisville and Tennessee are top of the line
Why in the hell isn't Rupp Arena on this list ?! .. Hhmm?,.. I guess the commentator doesn't think there is much college basketball, or winning tradition at Kentucky.
BYU's stadium, the Marriott Center is definitely top 10
Its not even the best arena in the state
Then what is@@Strongbadia99

Hinkle Fieldhouse - also a historic landmark.
Complete joke of a list. Two SEC arenas completely missed.
Dreamstyle Arena is listed at 10.
What is this guys obsession with natural light? Lmao.
Syracuse has the worst arena in college!! The basketball team plays in a football stadium. Trash!!!
I was thinking the same thing!
#3 Assembly Hall (Indiana University) but the graphic says #10 Dreamstyle Arena (New Mexico)
You haven’t been there then
That’s what makes it unique lol
Again. Check out ICCU arena, its like a mini Fiserv Forum on the exterior. The use a lot of wood in it and it looks amazing. Its smaller but it looks great. Exterior and interior looks awesome and they have a practice court that looks beautiful as well.

Old arena , before expansion, was a classic. Played in my first college basketball game there as a visitor in 1968. I was scared out of my wits.
3 of the top 10 on the list from Indiana!!! Love it.
LMAO, no Rupp Arena?

McKale Center
How is the kfc your center not in the top 10
Did he say Hinkie Fieldhouse? It would help if you could pronounce the names correctly.
Go Orange!! Dome Sweet Dome! The Loud House! Go 'Cuse!!
Allen Fieldhouse at #9 is the coldest take of all time.
This guy is an Indiana homie. He understands nothing about the subject and can't be objective.
For New Mexico, it's actually The Pit, Dreamstyle Arena just sounds wrong...and should be ranked higher.
rupp?
My favs Gallagher and JMA
Dukes arena sucks. When you go there or watch it looks like your watching a 1980 basketball game.
what about the cajun dome?
I love Hinkle Fieldhouse
I think the new Texas moody center is pretty cool I think it deserves atleast a honorable mention
BYU, Marriott Center is better than many of these. Mr. Ginger , please come and experience it for yourself.
Bro refuses to acknowledge Neville Arena
The modern era rejects bland, even if it is functional. They want character, natural light & they want it to be unique.
there is an error at number 3 for indianas arena it shows as new mexico arena
CHI health center in omaha!? home of the creighton blue jays, 18,000 seats & awesome fans
