Bro! Thank you! That was pissing me off that I could not figure out how to use the whammy pedal. I am working on Dance of the sugar Plum Fairy and need an extra octave to play it in the proper range. This video explained everything perfectly and the musical examples you played were excellent choices to show the pitch shifting applications in popular guitar songs. A+
Jon, excelent job. I think you are the one that makes more videos about pod hd500x and i love it. I got my own one. It is accurate and detailed info. thanks for sharing your experience with us.. thankssss Internet for Jon.
Just bought one of these today and I'm beyond impressed with it. Had a G-System before this and it was good, but it was a bit limited and effects felt a bit dated...the L6 goes well beyond what the G could do. A/B'ed between my tube amp and the L6, and the difference is surprisingly minimal.... it has a great feel to it. It's as good as basically any software amp out there right now. The only bummer is that you don't get access to all the crazy amounts of amps that Pod Farm Platinum has.
Jon your 500X videos have really helped me figure out mine. I use a pair of Headrush FRFR108MKIs as a monitor using the XLR output on the 500X. Can you do a video on sending signal directly to the house while using stage monitors simultaneously. I have heard folks say they send the 1/4” outputs to the sound board in case the board is using phantom power for some mics. I’d be very curious what your take is on that subject. Thanks for all your videos!!
Can someone recommend a similar really well done channel like this one that covers the BOSS GT-100 effects processor? I cannot find anything really simple to follow. Any suggestions would be amazing!
HD500, easily. It's not even a comparison. That NUX one is basically just a cute lil starter box to get some effects in front of your amp. Plus an HD500X on the used market is about 50-70 bucks cheaper
If you think that pod hd500x is difficult in editing a preset, take into account that kemper, helix, fractal....they are really difficult in setting up. Pod hd500x is much easier in editing. now if you use a irs' box, much better..

This is so good. I really appreciate more videos like these for POD500X.
Sometimes I think about getting a helix or QC etc, then I watch your videos and remember that the HD500x is more than I could ever really need 😂

Could you do a vid about compressors in the pod ?
Great video. Is the Pitch Glide effect polyphonic?
Thanks! It is polyphonic, but it starts getting weird if you play more than two notes at a time.
Is there a way to make one of the buttons trigger the whammy octave
Can you do everything you do with your hd500x on the model before hd500
