Great tutorial! Minor suggestion for anyone wondering. You can use the edge select tool and select edges around the head to mark the area you'd like to grow the particle system for an easier and quicker selection. To do this, select the edge loop where you want the skull cap to be > mark seam. This designates that area as an independent section. You should now be able to simply hover over the skull cap area you've marked, and press L on the keyboard to select the area. This is also useful for marking the seams of the rest of the face like the mouth, nose, eyes etc.

Do you use Cycles for the render? Search for “Custom hair shader in blender” on UA-cam. From that video you can download a shader which you can use for free. It’s really good. And try to turn down the glossiness when using colors like yellow. Also don’t use a really bright yellow like the anime. Imagine how it would look in real life and set the color according to that.

I've tried the custom hair shader, it looks so realistic but it's not in my taste, so I undo back to standard blender shader. But just like you said, I turned down the curves for the yellow hair so it looks darker and guess what? It looks fantastic!! Still need plenty of days for compositing. Then uses ebsynth to apply it to the video. He then creates the hair and environment. After that he uses after effects again for the final compositing
Another question bro, after i render the hair to png it has a black background even though i render it in transparent background like what you did, i saw your render result but white background. Cause i also watch your other video attaching the hair in after effects, im having a hard time adding the hair to My video as the black background wont get rid

The circles indicate the strength of the wind. take the strength up. After that you have to adjust the direction of the wind which you can do in the viewport by selecting it and rotating it in your desired direction.

I was inactive sorry for the late response, You track your head either in blender and export the hair animation as a PNG sequence and add it in after effects, or just export the hair from the front view and track it onto your head using after effects.

Yeah, in the particle settings- hair shape- change the diameter and other options you see there. ( turn em down). Also make sure you apply the scale with “ctrl + A” - apply scale” on the object before adding the hair particles.

Try adjusting to hair collision settings, Or maybe before you move your head and do animation. Apply all the transforms to your head (Ctrl+A). Delete your cache and do it again. Check it in evee first. The rendering will be fast. If its good render it in cycles.

If you want something that specific, either hire somebody or learn how to do it yourself.

You may have moved the head around and didn’t apply the transformations with ctrl+A.

Have you turn on the settings in the film tab where you have to “tick on the Transparent “

You can find it in the object properties-camera visibility - check “hold out”.
