I'm really looking forward to ship respurce stuff as well. Sounds pretty geeky, but fixing up your ship, your home, has real appeal to me personally.. I like to use the Herc A2...first it already comes with S5 guns for the pilot (just switch 2 of the cannons from the side turrets to the front) and secondly you can just drop a bomb at the junkyard before landing decreasing the chance of being ambushed. The cargo capicity is still plenty with over 200 SCU and even more if you use the space outside the cargo grid.
Nice clear video. Well done. I went out with my org and we did an ERT a week ago which netted us 25m from a single Cat that hit the surface right way up and in one piece and had weevil. Eggs and other drugs.
It’s great gameplay, just the payout is broken if we’re being honest. Personally I’d say take weavil eggs out of the equation and drop the rates on Maze then you’ve got a good addition to the game without breaking the economy as hard.

What they really need is criminal bounties. Don't nerf these missions. But if you steal $Millions worth of cargo from 9-Tails or any other gang, you should bet they're going to put a bounty on your head. Players with positive gang reputation (or a CS themselves as it plays now) should get your bounty mission and possibly the god-mode tracker. These missions get much more exciting if you know that NPC and eventually player bounty hunters will come after you.
I do VHRT/ERTs solo in a C2. Ive switched to an M2 because more than once that nose turret has come in handy due to me not re-arming when I should. The only problem Ive had is ships landing upside down. Ive lost almost 50mil from inaccessible ships. One was an 890 with 140scu weevil eggs. If I had one tip to add, it would be, if youre doing these with others have someone bring an SRV.
2x S5 laser cannons on my C2/M2 are enough for any ship, including an 890j after 5 min, I do try to find missions in asteroids, and I try to fly low. I found the Corsair to be too OP, causing too much hard kills. With c2 targets I slow my fire rate so they don’t blow.
Yeah I always bring at least one buddy to stand on my ramp and tractor in boxes from upside down or otherwise inaccessible cargo holds. There’s nothing worse to me than leaving eggs unlooted!
One tip I'd give - when selling at a scrapyard, sell the Weevil eggs first, Maze second, and anything else later. That way you get the most valuable stuff out of your hull first.
I'm not seeing this getting nerfed. Getting to the ERT's now with the miniscule rep gains is going to be a challenge. these missions are far more difficult also than a 30k illegal salvage mission.
I would say this is 💯 getting a nerf - I’d love to see the type of gameplay continue but I got from MRT’s to ERT’s in about 5hrs which isn’t really much. Realistically anything that lets you solo earn 10’s of millions is overkill.
I did a ERT last week that had a C2 that had 8 32scu boxes of eggs on it. I could not fit it all on my Taurus so I had to call a friend with a C2 and we made 30M off one ERT. It was crazy.
Great video. My org has be doing this for the past week and we've made at least 500k each for a few hours of play time. Most weve made was 2 million each. Thats with a Taurus and Corsair as the cargo ships.
Nice! It really comes down to the hauls of those 2 commodities - Maze and GVE's (tbf I think they should just remove those from the loot tables or make them miniscule chances to balance it better). I just did a quick run and made 22m because I found a bunch of Maze that I then sold through the JT mission. It's a bit mad :D
All good information the only thing I have to dispute is that while salvaging is a pain in the ass for a while it is actually worth it. Yes haul scraping is painful but it is profitable. Once you can save enough for a Reclaimer salvaging any salvage mission is a breeze and you’ll make a shit tone of money doing it. With a reclaimer doing the largest ship contracts that you can get once your rep is High, 3 to 5 ships can easily net you between 5 Million to 8 million per one run. That means if you spent a whole day doing it you would have more than 50 million by the end of the day

@@Gofr5 and herein lies the problem 😂 Tbh when I do trading I’m mostly just in it for the fun as opposed to the cash. So I’ll always try to find the route less travelled - more time space trucking / less time refreshing a trade kiosk!

I'm curious, are the cargo ships you find in space all real players, or are there some that are NPCs? I've heard from a dev in one of their interviews that the economy is mainly run by NPC's behind the scenes, but it wasn't physically being seen on the servers. Which is why the commodity prices are currently always fluctuating regardless if there's people on the server doing cargo runs or not. They mentioned that when server meshing would be implemented, that they would be moving about in real time.
There's a big difference between reality and what the devs say, currently there' no economy, all prices are over the place and make no sense, and yeah there's no npc cargo ships roaming around, this is probably not in their priority list since it's probably going to put a big stress on the servers and is actually pretty hard to code
Soft death is when a ship has taken too much damage and gets disabled. Usually this is indicated by a small explosion and your target lock disengaging. Hard death is when a ship has taken enough damage for the core to breach, and is indicated by a large explosion and the ship breaking into pieces.
Excellent video. Only on one point will I disagree, risky salvage missions ARE still profitable despite being heavily nerfed. You're not going to make many millions in a run or two anymore but you absolutely can make a tidy profit with little to no real risk. The trick is to ONLY go for the C2 (not A2/M2) derelicts, nothing else will be carrying enough cargo to offset the nerf.
Does this also work with combat assist beacons I wonder, turning a night into a decent cargo running/salvage night, especially with hull munching around the corner
I personally love crt combat assists and would love this level of reward for scooping the cargo Hell once factions are in I would love to see faction alignments ping on the map Good guys get a CRT service beacon Bad guys get a QT marker to try salvage what they can of the cargo and hulls before the vultures come in
What's the point of illegal wares when you can't make anything off of it. I am like seriously. Can we even use the illegal wares. Example, an illegal military grade modules.
Has been already nerfed and big, and even if its nerfed to a 10% of the current value will still be worth; bear in mind that for bounties you have to do reputation which is not a joke (specially for reaching the juicy tiers of vhrt/ert) and imo i feel good making people collab for these things (and per se that selling is "risky")
Your first take is already wrong. You can get 24 Size 4 Repeaters from the Hammerhead, wich is more than doable in 30mins. Wich gives you around 80k or 50k profit. Found Cargo is just a goodie.
80K vs millions? Honestly the parts aren’t worth the time unless you’re rp’ing (not that there’s anything wrong with doing that ofc - but this is more a min maxer’s guide).
@@LoudGuns I get that. But its just wrong that you will end up in the minus. Will do a couple of Hammerhead Runs in the feature maybe some A2 M2 as well. Maybe Im lucky :).
I’ve been doing this for the last few days. I have looted an easy 40M worth in only a few hours of play. Unfortunately, the game has been working against me and I have not managed to cash in a single aUEC for it due to untimely bugs, crashes or Kamikaze NPCs…
well not really, cargo is extremely bad, 1 out of 5 ERT bounties might have good drugs, and half that time its on a Carrack and the rest is food/scrap/2 neon/spirits with the odd RMC now. While it is profitable it is a pain in the ass and NOT millions an hour more like in 2-3 hours. I do them solo in a C2 or Hornet for kicks,
I wish there was a way to track players doing this. When salvage cargo was OP, i'd scan asteroid belts for players to kill. When theres an obviously unbalanced way of making money Its a bit annoying, so I make it a gameplay loop of providing risk to it for others by search and destroying. But its hard finding many manually searching.
This is how it should be. There's actual risk with doing ERTs, and you're forced to bring something that can fight, and can lead up. Our org takes a single A2, or we'll do a few Connie Taurus, and the profits are huge.

I didn’t notice cargo in Beacons last patch, but might be worth looking into this patch.
I personally love crt combat assists and would love this level of reward for scooping the cargo
Hell once factions are in I would love to see faction alignments ping on the map
Good guys get a CRT service beacon
Bad guys get a QT marker to try salvage what they can of the cargo and hulls before the vultures come in
I did a lot of combat assist with friends, I have never seen any cargo from the destroyed ships
the rifle tractor is significantly more powerful than the multitool
Yeah, at first I was wondering if it was just my brain playing tricks but 💯
BattleCat time?
Wow thx for the vid
What's the point of illegal wares when you can't make anything off of it. I am like seriously. Can we even use the illegal wares. Example, an illegal military grade modules.
this is so getting nerfed next. i can feel it xD
Oh 💯 😂
c1 then you dont need to get a pyrotool with tractor
We did this the other day and made 5 million off of a single Hercules.....
I think the financial gain on this loop is way overpowered. Even with the new updates. Selling value should be lowered considerably.
Now it's work again?
I’ve been doing this for the last few days. I have looted an easy 40M worth in only a few hours of play. Unfortunately, the game has been working against me and I have not managed to cash in a single aUEC for it due to untimely bugs, crashes or Kamikaze NPCs…
I'm not Wesley Adam's. I'm celt. Someone the crap lover again. Nobody's Wesley Adam's. Nobody's anything.
In before the nerf bat
Did this get nerfed?
As of today, it is no longer worth it to do that anymore.
It was a good run, going to pop a video out asap with new expectations around these loops.
well not really, cargo is extremely bad, 1 out of 5 ERT bounties might have good drugs, and half that time its on a Carrack and the rest is food/scrap/2 neon/spirits with the odd RMC now. While it is profitable it is a pain in the ass and NOT millions an hour more like in 2-3 hours. I do them solo in a C2 or Hornet for kicks,
Why you not say nothing about advokacy on Yela? If advokacy doing scan your ship you go in klesher and lost all cargo!
The big question is...Will they wipe for 3.22? If so I need to buy (real money) C2 and Inferno. I own them in game only. What do Ya'll think on wipe?
They only wipe if they have to now, I hope they will hold off until 3.0
@@Thissapunyowe kinda need a wipe after this, everyone’s super rich
@@cembanditx1 I'm poor 😞
@@cembanditx1 Half the player base isn't plus that's a poor reason to wipe just because some people have money.
nerf incoming... you cant sell now the "loot"... overflow the markt :P
This has been nerfed right?
This is how it should be. There's actual risk with doing ERTs, and you're forced to bring something that can fight, and can lead up. Our org takes a single A2, or we'll do a few Connie Taurus, and the profits are huge.

Oh look another solo player using multi-crew ships enjoy it while it lasts
You’ve clearly never seen any of my content before - may I point you here: Can you crew it? Star Citizen IAE 2953
ua-cam.com/video/_DulYFKT9-k/v-deo.html
I will solo the Arrastra :) even if it takes me the whole day!
@@LoudGuns I actually have, I commented on that linked video 13 days ago. I'm more so referencing the engineering info that come out in the last 24 hours that will essentially make it impossible to solo a multicrew ship. So as fun as this gameplay loop is it will be nearly impossible for the casual player
@@vmklink in that case my apologies, I always think with SC videos / guides / gameplay there’s the now and the then. Right now use the tools at your disposal to enjoy your gameplay, but don’t forget that it will change and try not to be one of the people with a pitchfork on spectrum when it does.
i think it will be nerfed too cause abslolutely imbalanced.
Bro this is what I didn’t sign up for what the fuck is the point of hunting the same mission over and over again your just better off duping and not wasting time wtf xD this isn’t fun this is a job, I’m saying all this because in this recent sale they had I bought a vulture for 175$ and owned it for 4 days through thanksgiving break and the ship couldn’t even scrap hulls because apparently it’s broken in the game but there still selling the ship so I just got all my money refunded thank god
This is a useless video. You have to rank up Bounty.. and if you do so, you are familiar enough with the game mechanics to make money with these ERTs. This is like: "Do missions til you have enough money for a reclaimer... then you make millions of aUEC per hour"...or like in other games "Level up to Level 120, and you get dozens of gold per quest..."
If you’re that new to the game then this isn’t for you. My advice to new players is to try everything you can, learn the game and just enjoy yourself!
