this sums up his whole philosophy. close enough just isn't. I'd be flying into a rage while driving back to home depot and getting the GM involved. I'm getting a full refund, the right color, and gas money for your screw up.
Spray painting on top of baked enamel will not hold up well. If not rusted through to base metal, as in this case, would stop at the fine sanding (or 0000 steel wool) to remove top layer of rust stain and switch to buffing compound to make original enamel smooth and shiny again.
attempted to do this project, I am not sure what I did wrong but rust started showing through the paint after a week, not sure what I did wrong. But I guess I am going to attack the rusted dots individually instead of sanding the section.
@@gregvaughn123123 I repeated the process and so far i have one little dot left, as I some to realized how sloppy they have painted the tub. My curious self got a magnifying lense and saw how the little crater caused the rust because the paint didn'tget to it. even if it was microscopic, it caused a problem. Thanks for the reply
u did nothing the rust is coming from above on the wall faucet so what i did was change the shower accesories and wala problem solve now i have no water stains below and no rust but i apply w40 to the shower faucet and below before i put the cap back on and i clean the cap and also put w40 on the cap too.
that speed sanding was satisfying
Good job old man ..
Nice video. I learned a lot
Handy, simple, practical.
Just wish I had gotten a closer color match... I think I will get about five years longer life out of the tub.
Nice work
He said it could have been a closer match.... Yeah maybe white.. Not almond.. Duh.

How’s the paint job holding up now?
lol, I knew there was no chance of that matching at all as soon as he whipped the can out.
literally came to the comments to say the same thing 😂

If it rusted through again, your rust could be coming from the backside, rather than surface rust

I am not completely sure but I don’t think he did his research very well. I mean, did he fix it? I guess? Was it done correctly, definitely a no.
Looks like a.....
Is this guy wearing lipstick?
Maybe huffing the paint between costs lmao
