I am looking at a cheap 2005 350z convertible. the top is I great condition and it has 115,000 miles. is this a good daliy I've looked at hardtops but are just too expensive.
Rolilasx same here. except I need to save for the coupe for the protection it brings. which will put me around the $7k market out here in California :/ not trying to pick up someone's drifted out z with over 200k miles and the dealer's want around 10k for the 03. it's gonna be a long saving process for me lol :/
Well my friend, Imagine that in order for me to drive a 350z on Danish roads I will pay around 25-30k euros. The car itself (i want a 07-08 HR) will cost me around 15k, and the danish car registration must be one of the craziest in the world, its 100% for low end cars and 150% for more expensive cars. Think about that next time you get a little bit blue about your savings, maybe it will help you ! :D
AdrianPlaysFIFA I just picked up my 08 HR 88k miles and I agree, it’s amazing! But after also having my de I’ll say that the difference is not night and day, but it’s definitely noticeable.
QuadraxisTheGreat Well it was definitely a night and day difference when i raced my friends Bolt on Rev-up against my Stock Hr with a shitty Nismo exhaust from factory lol i beat him pretty badly especially on the top end but nonetheless congrats on the Hr 🙏🏽
I just bought the 2004 version. It is black with black interior and the bottom side of the car is completely rust free and has a special coat. It has 67.000 miles and is in mint condition and I can pick it up in December. I cant wait!
So I was kind of having a hard time understanding this video at some parts, could somebody maybe tell me what the key differences are between the touring and grand touring model? Like interior feature wise
S - Features 18-inch alloy wheels, fabric seats, leather steering wheel, CD player stereo and climate control air-conditioning. T - Adds leather interior, electric driver’s seat and premium Bose sound system with subwoofer. ST - Adds electrically heated front seats, factory navigation and infotainment screen (Japanese maps only). Nismo - Features unique 19-inch alloy wheels, body kit, projector-style headlamps, sports exhaust, sports suspension, limited slip differential and stiffened chassis.
You are the man! Not that I didn't know most of this stuff, but there was a lot of little stuff that even most wouldn't know. Big thumbs up from a 35th Anni. owner!
NIce video Anthony. Informative for the people who don't know much about these cars with the various trims and options. They only thing I really want to do is upgrade to 06 headlights mostly because I like the larger projectors! Looking back I don't know what trim I would have really been looking for when I was searching for mine. When I bought mine I didn't know much about trims etc, but I knew it had a blend of all options I wanted. That was a plus, and the fact that it had such low mileage, and is in flawless condition so that was what made me pull the trigger... My 35th anniv has everything, and I love the damn thing! Most of the options I don't use much like the full electronic seats- I couldn't care if they were manual adjust, but the heated seats are nice in the winter or cooler days but even on low they get hot and mostly just use them for the first 5-10 minutes I drive it. The black and tan interior which I really liked as well that you had mentioned in the video. The color caught my eye, and was a unique combo that I liked from the start when I first saw inside. I always put a soft shirt down on the seat to prevent access wear so i don't have to worry about the metal buttons etc on my jeans. Keep up the great informative content. I always like to see what your next video featuring 350's will include!
I bought a Blue '06 350Z Enthusiast, brand new off the showroom floor. The Nissan Dealer in Palm Beach, Florida had a Zcar Speed Shop in house. They installed an exhaust and cold air intake. Got the rare, awesome Clear stock taillights from Japan, and the aluminum front grill on it. Tuned everything. Ruff Racing Wheels went on it... Still drive it all the time.
@@AnthonyJ350 no, nothing yet. Southeast Florida is roasting hot. Need to replace some gaskets. My [ex]wife drove it mostly when i was married. I got it back a couple years ago.. lol. Restoring stuff. Needs hood and roof paint. The clearcoat on all the Z's down here gets ruined from sun and heat.
I’m not sure which trim I have . My 2003 350z has navigation , Bose sound , heated seats , is stick shift but came with cloth seats . Also has abs , vdc, slip traction control
I thought I had the touring model the whole time, but after this video I just learned that I have the grand touring model! Thanks Anthony this is a really great video. Keep doing the good work!
I have an 03 touring 6-speed and it has a bose sound system, vdc, cloth power and heated seats, an ugly tan interior :( , and a Vlsd. No side curtains, Nav nor brembos. for those wanting to know an older model. Although the tan interiors are ugly they don't scratch like the black ones they just get dirty. Cloth seats are also known to rip on the side bolsters, such as mine. Nissan window tint is also crap so plan on getting it retinted as the tint tends to ripple and peel. 6 gear sync is the gear that mine has troubles with. good luck future Z owners
With shifting as well don't go from first to second for a good pull then throwing it in 6th. Although it takes a little extra time be easy on the synchros and row through all the gears.
Advice uninstall the Bose and toss it to the curb for trash collection where it belongs , CD player does not play and the weak Subwoofer cuts in and out , invest in seat covers .....
I have no idea which model 350z I have. That may sound dumb but from all these cars you've showed my car has some aspects and others it does not. When I look at my steering wheel, it has no buttons on it. It only has the VDC button below. It has electric heated seats and air conditioning. It has light brown leather seats. I have a whole different transmission stick. There is no GPS or anything. It was built in May 2003 and I think it was imported from Japan with the steering wheel on the right. It has Brembo brakes. It does have all the empty compartments in the back and the Bose speakers.
Hey man, good to see you again. The gauge goes up to 7.5k but without a tune it is electronically limited to 7.3k rpm. There is a solution for modifying hr motors... Tuners. Lol kill that light with re tunes. I have a grand touring 07 that has everything except leather seats(trying to find black ones), a gps(thank god) and the brembos(changed out)
Has anyone put a HR plenum on a DE motor? I'm guessing sense they have the same 3.5L V6. The only modification needed would be splicing the throttle body wiring together.
@@willk3807 I was referring to the composit version. If you're N/A the Motordyne 5/16 spacer still makes more power. Forced induction may be a different story.
I have a 2005 Touring anniversary edition roadster with the orange leather & cloth seats. Everything OEM. What do you suggest I keep an eye on for repairs? I have already change all 3 sensors & rear shocks. Thanks in advance...
Always make sure the oil is topped off, mainly after a spirited drive. Also the O2 sensors before the catalytic converters may need replacement soon. As long as it idles smooth you don't have much to worry about.
The HR has a taller deck height for better rod angularity. It has better knock sensors and improved block webbing. It’s stronger and breathes much better.
@@patrickkillilea5225 Thanks for the reply! I live in Brazil and im buying a 350z 2006 with 17.5k miles on it! It's and auto and that's why i ask you this! Any other advices for me about the auto that i need to know? Thx again!
@@CaastellanNWow, that is super low miles! I would say then, with the automatic, realize it shifts into 2nd a little bit slow on purpose... I like the auto because I don't like shifting all the time. And you can put in manual mode too. Just not good for burn outs... but that's not me. On mine, I also have a Jeg's "Sprint Booster". It is a throttle controller which cuts the lag time on the foot to throttle plate action, and has an effect on the trans shifting, too. All said, it is a great car. I am planning to get a newer, lower miles motor.. like from Japan maybe? My Z has a dual cat back exhaust, from Amazon, a Kinetic composite intake upper plenum, and Jim Wolf air box modified by me. And I run an oil separater from the PVC. Also have a Blue Color Mishimoto hose kit and Blue intake tube, and.... Blue Gates belts. I think it all looks cool.... PK
Would you happen to know if LSD options also refer to roadster 350z? So base model roadster is open diff and all other roadster trim level come with vlsd? Just asking cuz I've heard that they don't come with vlsd and also heard that all except the base for roadsters Thanks
I’m looking to buy a 350z staying away from the rev up engine, so 03-04/07-08. I can’t figure out the difference between the base and the touring model?
Sooo I'm confused, I have a HR with VDC only, brembos, no BOSE and cloth seats with controls for hands frwe on the left side of the steering wheel, no cruise control. What model i have and do i have VLSD or open diff?
Would your basic DE bolt-ons, i.e: Plenum spacer, better headers/downpipe, high-flow cat, less restrictive exhaust, negate the performance difference between the older and newer engines?
To an extent. Newer engines like the HR are really good stock and have a lot of top end. So a modded and tuned DE vs an HR if the driver's are the same the HR will typically win. If you did forced induction you can beat a stock HR.
I’m pretty young 14 actually and I’m planning on getting a 350z when I’m 16 because I’ve heard it’s a great car and I do want to tune it and do performance upgrades.
Hi guys i been working for nearly 8 months only to buy this car but. Am confused a bit.. which model is the best which year (2003-04-05-07-08-09???) thanks
My A/C in my 2008 nissan 350z is not working every time i replace the blower motor it goes out can you possibly tell me whats wrong what my A/C. I need help bad this has been going on for almost a year.
I bought an enthusiast with a broken motor in the leather seats and only had cruise control. I then put in manual track sets and a quick release steering wheel. defeated the purpose I guess lol
you said hr have hard time on mods cause of the ecu. 08 base hybrid motor ecu was fine 3.5 hr with 3.7 vhr and gtr intake no problem runs fine keep a smile on my face
AnthonyJ350 yeah runs fine as for intake, long cai, headers, test pipes and cat back put all same time. then run the motor 40 min in idle your fine. injector 3.5 hr and throttle body on the intake no need for tuning
Moe Black I would look into tuning to get the most out of your mods. At least run it on a dyno to make sure there is no detonation throughout the whole power band to make sure you're safe.
I just bought my first 350z i was watching this video and i notice that i have the regular DE engine but my speedometer is from a Rev up does that may cause any issues ?
I don't think so, just don't Rev it all the way up there. If you do drive the car hard, make sure to check the oil level after it settles and cools down.
Im looking to pick up a 350z eventually, which model/year has the most features? Im interested in all of the features presented. Is there a newer year with all of these or would my best bet to be picking one up with the most and then adding features from part cars?
Can anybody help me I have a 2004 Nissan 350z and where the traction control button usually is there is no tcs off vdc and I don't know how to turn it off or anything. Thanks.
at 14:44 in the video it says base models do not have any electrical traction assist so does that mean the buttons where tcs and vdc would be it should should just be blank buttons that don't move when pressed? Also does that mean traction control is already off?
Ya I've been told the HR doesn't consume any oil, but I was under the impression practically all high compression motors consume some oil typically because of all the pressure in the cylinders and the cars are older now. But I have yet to confirm anything. Check the oil is definitely nice on a HR. Changing spark plugs not so much...
I have a 2004 Z and it's clutch slave failed at 124 K miles. I had all the stuff replaced when the clutch was done. Now it feels just like the clutch in my my 2014 Infiniti Q60S. The old 350Z has a LOT more bottom end torque then the Infiniti's 3.7L engine. BUt the 3.7 in the infiniti pulls harder at high RPM's.
Honestly, the DE isn't that bad. The HR is nice to have, yeah. But you don't miss it until you have it. I've owned both, and while i wouldn't go back to the DE anymore, my DE model was a blast to drive. The HR was an incrimental improvement imo.
@@Erowens98 how's it goin man I'm new to the z game I brought one a couple of months ago I'm not sure what model it is but it's an automatic with factory navigation heated seats and runs good it had annerversity rims on there but I'm not sure what model it's an 06 which model u think I have
I have watch all your video, but it's a hard choice to do mod on my Z. My plan was just to keep it stock maybe just some rims. My Hr motor only has 34000 miles on her and i wanna keep her as low miles as she can. We'll see if i wanna do any mods later on.
Low mileage!? That's like saying you don't want to f*** your gf because you want to save her for the next guy. Drive the car and enjoy it lol. I'm just saying I did that with a car before and when I sold it I was thinking, what was the point of that? I didn't get to really enjoy it because it was in the garage all the time.
Hey I have a 03 350z track. Recently, Car starts but after awhile I let it sit and it engine shuts off. No engine codes I have replaced the camshaft sensors couple years ago . Any idea why car is behaving that way?
+bombazzwayne cbrwayne Ahhh too many things on a modern car to cause that. You have to look at the sensor readings. Could be something really simple. was the car recently serviced?
I really think a HR motor is worth going for. I also like the hood. Is 2007 model worth going for or should you skip it since it is the first year with HR model in the 350z? 2008 got 12 more HP and is also not 1st year. I am really thinking of just going stock with engine. All I am thinking of upgrading is maybe some lip, exhaust etc.
I'd go 2008 if you're picking an HR. Change out the air filters to K&N upgrade the clutch pedal to RJM, put in a short shift from Torque Solutions and do exhaust. Also look into swapping out some bushings and end links on the suspension to revise it.
Hi Anthony, can you help me, ? I have a 1977 datsun 280z and i don't know where the pcv valve it's located, my car has the inginne L28, 2.8 Manual. Thank you....
TooCoolFrank I'd get the Enthusiast. Has more features but is relatively bare bones. Keep in mind most cars if equipped with an LSD will benefit from an aftermarket unit.
That depends on the features and how much power you want from a stock car. And how much are you willing to spend. If you want the best, try to find a Nismo Edition.
Don't downshift into 1st, ever. It's a tank. 2006 G35x (2010-2016), 2006 350z GT 5AT (2013-2020) and now a 2007 350ZR GT 5AT (2021-). That Re050505050 whatever its name is has been my best friend for 12 years now. Anthony says only get it if you want a cruiser, but I've edged similarly modded manuals in my old coupe in Shannonville. Track AND strip, stock tire sizes in PS4S. Uprev throttle mapping helped, but as long as you know its gearing you'll do fantastic. :-)
No the runners in the plenums are different so the horsepower and torque will change. That's why the Motordyne mrev2 is so popular, get back that midrange torque.
I am a happy owner of a 350z an have some what of a good problem on my hand. Came with all sorts of show room, ricer aftermarket parts but also. I am trying to find if it is really a nismo or not!! Of course the nismo logo on the back, revs to 7,500 has the bulk hood (need to double-check in the am) and of course like you said the best part. Dual air intake!! BUT! the damn title says Grand touring. It is a 2008. Please help and thank you for your vids
What does the rear bumper look like? Does it have sharp corners? Also there are vibration dampeners in the front bumper and by the spare. Also the chassis will have more stitch welding. You could always run the VIN at a Nissan dealership.
Do you have a listed document of the differences too? I'm thinking of buying a 350z (the Netherlands) but I want to know if I'm buying the right one (leather seats, all controls etc.) If you have a list or file with alle differences noted I would love to have that! Great review by the way!
I mean visual things above here, things that you can see before buying a 350z. (already did see the buyers guide) I'm looking for a 2006+ model (because of the HP) and the better HR motor? (is what I've heard)
2007 should be the HR engine so double check the year via VIN (8th digit from the right). Also watch this video ua-cam.com/video/btXomfmQPe8/v-deo.html
@@AnthonyJ350 awesome will do. Also, wanted to ask should I change belts? Cambelt in particular? Plugs? What KMs should these be done at? I'll do a 5000km oil change interval. Here in South Africa, it's pretty rare to find these cars so it's hard to get quality information and advice.

Here i only see full option track versions in the EU. Like bigger Orange brembo brakes, ESP, leather seats and heating. Build in phone support(on the left side of the steering wheel with buttons and radio control) and much more. I sometimes see an imported 350z from the USA that mostly look like a stripped down. The track version also have the nicest standard rims. Forged Rays. I agree my interiors is still mint. I didnt understand why all interior of many 350z's are so fucked up.... now I know thanks. Nice video. We don't have all those different models here.
I had no idea that the my HR already had headers on them honestly. I thought it was just a regular exhaust manifold. So if I was to get DC Sport headers it wouldn't throw a CEL then would it? EDIT: Nevermind just commented on the video before you said how they get pissy with mods and the ECUs are sensitive. Little digital trigglypuffs. Also that HR Carbon Fiber Hood is that Seibon and how was the fitments any issues and where did you get it from? Also with that ABS Actuator I need one for my 08 Enthusiast Model#47660-EV01B please let me know if you have a reputable site to get that particular one from.
@@AnthonyJ350 Actually I have a set of Kinetix High Flow Cats and a Topspeed Pro1 Exhaust....it sounds great. A tune would be a big issue because of the CEL. I live in the lackey CARB state of New York so that says it all. If emissions testing were not an issue I would have done it already. Most of the time the tune requires disabling the rear o2s from what I heard but that would be an automatic fail and the amount of parts on is too little and not worth a tune yet. Also when you get your car tune do you have to pay for a license plus the tune?
@@DragoMusivini How does their emissions testing work? Do they scan all the sensors? Or just look for a CEL? I would contact UPREV. Technically tuning is better for the environment because you're getting the car to have the most complete burn possible and run safe.
@@AnthonyJ350 Basically you pull into any approved inspection mechanic shop in NY State. They hook your car up to a Bluetooth device which is in turn connected to a computer. This camera wirelessly reads the data on your ECU and if you have more than one not ready light you're screwed. It can be any one but ONLY one. And as far as what uprev would do is the shop would disable the rear o2 sensors and trick them somehow into believing everything is alright. But once the computer sees the rear o2 sensors are disabled it is an instant fail. Plus when I went to have those parts installed the place I went to....Vinny Ten racing....said I need a tune. I had told them if the check engine light did not come on then I do not want a tune. So they were about to start getting to work and one of his employees hands me the receipt to sign. I noticed in the bottom mid right part of the receipt there was a barely legible with the naked eye paragraph of me basically releasing them from the risk of working on my car....in other words a liability release. I called them on this and the guy said everyone signs this. I said that was not the question I asked. I said is this a liability release to which he replied yes. So I asked him so God forbid someone screws up and blows my engine on the dyno after the install it is not their fault. He said nothing. I told him straight out I do not feel comfortable signing this so if I do not sign this you will not work on my car, to which he replied we cannot. So I said deuces. On top of that when my car is to be tuned can you tell me if I have to pay for a license as well and if so can you tell me why? Also I heard that if I had to reflash back to inspection then I would have to pay for that to to get the same tune back as well?
@@AnthonyJ350 by the way I had the parts installed at a place not too far from there called Tuning Technology Motorsports. If anyone you know is in the Long Island area he is a great guy his name is Bruce.

Fantastic info, i believe youve help me pick the right Z. The determining factor for me is going to be the 'trac' button. Vdc is no good for the track, glad i found that out before buying.
+AnthonyJ350 engine was still smooth. thats what i was thinking i just bought the car and used a lower octane. ill use 91 octane next time and see how it goes.
Angel Manzanares Try Shell 91, I want to know if it makes a difference like it did for me. I got better throttle response and the exhaust wasn't as raspy when I was on Chevron 94. Probably because the 94 was too much octane for the stock tune.
Glad you mentioned the transmission, never got a clear answer or info on that other than ATLEAST the 06-08 models have a better one. I could tell the info was atleast partially correct when i test drove an '03 which had been driven hard. He started out showing off the car in full race mode, slamming it from gear to gear but when i had a go in it to see if it was also a daily driver, it was a box of rocks. Every gear i attempted to find with less than 100% effort was just grinding. Didn't buy that car for sure. Later came across an '07 6MT Enth. and it was smooth as butter. Still only 62k on it as well. Wasn't the cheapest but it's my only car and I have fun every time i'm in it. High smiles per gallon. 1st mod will be a FULL stereo install and I'm using your GREAT videos for it. Def a subscriber now, plz keep up the good work!
Thanks! Need to do that one soon actually. Is it their MT-90, it says recommended for Nissans (and most other japanese cars) but not specifically Nissan Spec
Thanks for mentioning about the transmissions. This explains why my 04 tends to want to grind gears at times where as my 2014 Infiniti does not. The 2800 - 3000 rpm thing is something I have noticed in my car. It shifts really smooth at those rpm's.

S - Features 18-inch alloy wheels, fabric seats, leather steering wheel, CD player stereo and climate control air-conditioning.
T - Adds leather interior, electric driver’s seat and premium Bose sound system with subwoofer.
ST - Adds electrically heated front seats, factory navigation and infotainment screen (Japanese maps only).
Nismo - Features unique 19-inch alloy wheels, body kit, projector-style headlamps, sports exhaust, sports suspension, limited slip differential and stiffened chassis.

That's awesome! So yours didn't have the piston ring issue? Or do you let it warm up a little and drive it slow to get up to operating temperature?
@@AnthonyJ350 no, nothing yet. Southeast Florida is roasting hot. Need to replace some gaskets. My [ex]wife drove it mostly when i was married. I got it back a couple years ago.. lol. Restoring stuff. Needs hood and roof paint. The clearcoat on all the Z's down here gets ruined from sun and heat.

I thought I had the touring model the whole time, but after this video I just learned that I have the grand touring model! Thanks Anthony this is a really great video. Keep doing the good work!
Does your car have like every feature shown in the video?
yes it does, except for the brembo brakes!
I learned something today! Found out I have the enthusiast
It's always great to learn something new. Thanks for watching!
Take the VIN to the dealership. They can tell you there.
Hey man, good to see you again. The gauge goes up to 7.5k but without a tune it is electronically limited to 7.3k rpm. There is a solution for modifying hr motors... Tuners. Lol kill that light with re tunes. I have a grand touring 07 that has everything except leather seats(trying to find black ones), a gps(thank god) and the brembos(changed out)
Thanks for the tips!
Why is it bad to have a GPS? I never had any issues with mine..
Outdated. But also there's more space to use without a GPS. Plus you could use a phone and one of the window holders

You want an aftermarket LSD anyways. VLSD isn't that good and it might be worn out by now.
I’m looking to buy a 350z staying away from the rev up engine, so 03-04/07-08. I can’t figure out the difference between the base and the touring model?
I believe touring may come with added features like cruise control and BOSE audio. Also may have a Viscous LSD.
Do you know the name and size of those rims? I really like those and have been looking for new rims for my '06 Z I'm still with the stock ones lol
Juan Alejos Which car?
The black Z ? :)
the black 350z
Juan Alejos ik that these are similar “Konig afterburner neochrome “
Sooo I'm confused, I have a HR with VDC only, brembos, no BOSE and cloth seats with controls for hands frwe on the left side of the steering wheel, no cruise control. What model i have and do i have VLSD or open diff?
You probably have VLSD given you have VDC and Brembo brakes. I would look into upgrading it with a hellical style differential.
What exhaust does the black one have on it?
Motordyne
Do you have a video with a mod list of your car?
I have to feather the clutch out every single gear or my car bucks. It's got a stage 2 in it and it engages pretty low near the floor.

Do you live in a hot climate? Did you have it recharged or make sure the pump is working when you engage the ac?
I live in Georgia and it has a mild temp. But i think something is burning the blower motor out
Is the clutch engaging on the compressor? Why do you think it's burning out? It uses the engine to spin it.
yea the clutch is engaging cause I'm able to drive. Do you think it will be a wiring problem
Moe Black I don't see am intake being a problem but what if you run test pipes?
AnthonyJ350 test pipe Megan didn't have no issues as long it has deflower
Moe Black You were able to put test pipes on an HR with defoulers only and no tune? And no check engine light? That's pretty good.
I just bought my first 350z i was watching this video and i notice that i have the regular DE engine but my speedometer is from a Rev up does that may cause any issues ?

bryan santos Is your vehicle a base model?
i think so
so for a drift build what is the better model to go with is it the enthusiast?
Arend Oosthuizen Base or Enthusiast. The main thing is to change out the diff in either car if that's what you're building.
Sweet thanks man
and if you own a DE you won't hear the end of it from the HR guys. But the HR guys have a lot of fun changing there clutch slave cylinder. Good video!
I had all
the stuff replaced when the clutch was done. Now it feels just like
the clutch in my my 2014 Infiniti Q60S. The old 350Z has a LOT more
bottom end torque then the Infiniti's 3.7L engine. BUt the 3.7 in the infiniti
pulls harder at high RPM's.
Honestly, the DE isn't that bad. The HR is nice to have, yeah. But you don't miss it until you have it.

+bombazzwayne cbrwayne Does it only happen at idle? Hot or cold? Umm I don't think these cars have a fuel filter. Just a strainer before the pump.
+AnthonyJ350 hot and cold. Also while driving it car struggles violently and shuts off. I no longer drive car until I can diagnose the problem.
+bombazzwayne cbrwayne Ahhh too many things on a modern car to cause that. You have to look at the sensor readings. Could be something really simple. was the car recently serviced?
That was the most informative video yet, very detailed, thank you !

Will a DE hood fit on an HR car? Call me crazy, but I don’t like the hood bulge.
The hood is designed that way to gain clearance for the intake. You'll have to go aftermarket that allows for clearance.

How reliable is the auto transmission on the 2007 model?
Not sure, as long as they were changing the fluid every 40,000KM should be OK. I have a friend with an automatic G35 that has had no issues.
Uprev throttle mapping helped, but as long as you know its gearing you'll do fantastic. :-)
why different torque tho? I thought it would be to do with gear ratio due to difference in rev range?

I had no idea that the my HR already had headers on them honestly. I thought it was just a regular exhaust manifold. So if I was to get DC Sport headers it wouldn't throw a CEL then would it?

I think you would benefit more from high flow cats, Motordyne XYZ pipe and a tune honestly.
If anyone you know is in the Long Island area he is a great guy his name is Bruce.
no one never talks about the performance one. I have the performance version... any subtle differences?
Are you referring to the Revup? I have that motor. It has variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust. I think it's a great motor. It's in the Anniversary Edition.
AHHH nice!.. I am going to verify because of your bad ass show, i was able to distinguish. The guy said it was anniversery and claims it was an 06 motor swap BUT imma go outside right now and verify. I don't know if performance had slotted rotors but mine does. I have to take pics and invite you to my instagram.. BRB imma go review
... Nope, Non-Rev-Up fine by me as well to be honest, less mess to deal with
add McKinney Texas Zeds to your contacts or sub it because that's me and this is not the one I use lol
+W&G Consultants Cool what model Z do you have? Just add me on Instagram: AnthonyJ350

Great vid thank you!
Thanks for watching!
This was extremely helpful! I just won a 350z touring in an auction, super excited to mod it.
That's awesome! Make sure to check out my 350Z playlist, there might be some other useful videos for you there.
Fantastic info, i believe youve help me pick the right Z. The determining factor for me is going to be the 'trac' button. Vdc is no good for the track, glad i found that out before buying.
Glad the video helped!
i have a 08 350z. while hard accelerating i hear popping from the engine does anyone know what the noise could be?
Does it sputter or is the engine still smooth?
bad gas?
+mawash0309 That's a good point. I prefer Shell 91 in my area.
Imma cut to the chase
What is the best for drifting
Base with an aftermarket LSD.
Thx for the post. Luv my ZED
Glad you like the video!

Saucy Me This video might help with that decision. ua-cam.com/video/KmsM2y8hAMM/v-deo.html
AnthonyJ350 thanks the vid helped
Saucy Me Glad it helped
Try Redline transmission fluid (Nissan Spec) shifts smoother.
Thanks! Need to do that one soon actually. Is it their MT-90, it says recommended for Nissans (and most other japanese cars) but not specifically Nissan Spec
Ya I'm pretty sure that's the one. I also recommend putting in a stainless braided line with a heat shield for the clutch.
Thanks for mentioning about the transmissions. This explains why my
04 tends to want to grind gears at times where as my 2014 Infiniti
does not. The 2800 - 3000 rpm thing is something I have noticed in
my car. It shifts really smooth at those rpm's.
Glad to hear the video helps!
When does v tech kick in?
TheUnderSide around 35,000 rpm
