I really enjoyed watching your video. I think you did a terrific job. Your neutral, friendly conversational style, and smooth pacing created a virtual car cruise experience in my mind. Thanks for sharing your tips on this model car!
Hey thanks for your feedback! Glad to hear you liked the video!
"Such a great looking car out of the box"
So high tech it comes in a box
Yes Box :))
Box... B)
"I usually check the oil twice a week, so I check the oil twice a month" ..
Jeremy O'Neal Some times I don't drive the car the whole month. And sometimes words come out of my mouth and I don't want to reshoot over little details.
Hahahaha
Two years later and yr comment made me cum
@@crimsonhawk4912 bro xD
Crimson Hawk wtf
i agree i like how low it is already as stock.
I think Nissan got it right from factory. In videos under the car people say it looks so good and the condition is awesome. That's because I don't rub on anything while everyone else is destroying their exhaust and tires.
AnthonyJ350 hi i
Anthony talking about a car he loves: I check my oil twice a month guys its not hard
Me talking about my old ass truck I hate: did I check my oil this year
To be fair, I have OCD with my vehicles...
@Abdullah Mubeen Only on leap years
Wel if you hate the vehicle why do you own it lmao
Dan Cliffton lmfaooo
Felt that I have a shitty truck I use only for winter and I don’t remember the last time I checked my oil😭it’s a shit box but that’s why it only comes out in winter
picked up a 2008 350z hr in black with only 90k miles and clean title for $5800 i got lucky per say...down here in miami almost all 350z's are ethier rebuild or too pricey
Good find!
Erniekiller24 How much would the car you get usually cost
got
In Florida, a 2008 350z - 2009 370z with 80-90k miles will cost you about 8-12 grand with clean title
I've been eyeing a 2006 for $6,000 with 78,000 miles. I'm thinking about it.
Thank you so much!!!
I'm heading out to the Bay Area tomorrow to buy my 2006 350z for $9,800 only 54K miles. I can't wait!!
That's a great deal! What colour?
Silver with gray leather black interior
Clean title no issues
+NickiHuevos Nice find!
If you can drive a stick it will feel lame but you'll look lamer stalling every 5 seconds
I just got a 2005 350z with 35k miles, an old couple used to drive it lol. Also in the Bay Area
I love when people take extra care of their cars. You take care of your car, it will take care of you and last much longer.
I agree
You know what I find interesting. No one has made any comments that I made fun of the RX-8 in the beginning. Hmmmm any takers?
lol if I'm not mistaken, I've heard a few rx8 jokes on your videos! I'm a former rx8 owner turned 350z owner...definitely made me chuckle, but i do often miss my 8. There's just something about it being unique and the sound and smoothness of the rotary. Overall I like my z better, but i do feel like the 8 handled a bit better...could have been that I had better tires on it than the cheap ones that came on my z tho. Once I run the tread down some more I'll be upgrading them and have a more fair comparison. BTW your videos are awesome. Thanks for all the insight and keep it up!
Jeremy Schank Haha thanks! Try using Redline transmission fluid (Nissan spec) in the transmission. Shifts smoother.
Also, I think the RX-8 would be more nimble since it's a little lighter and the engine is very compact and setup a little better in terms of weight distribution. But hands down the 350Z is a better car overall in almost every aspect. Look how many are still on the road, and a lot of them get beat on.
I have a question about the 350z is this car automatic?
Angel123 It's available but the cars shown here are manual.
My first project car has been finalized..thanks for review
I might not be ready for one of these yet, but when the 370z reaches its low im jumping on that
Inverted V12 Powerhouse I got mine for 8,500 dollars 😁
@@carlos-nl8hy how lol
@@anonymous7465 just probably a rare good deal or just beat up or high mileage
Thanks for watching!
Hey Anthony, even though I've had my 350Z for four years now, i always enjoy watching your content and its a rare thing if i don't learn anything from your video's. Keep up the good work, I'm always on the lookout for new output from you.
Thanks for the comment! Really appreciate it, it's a fresh nice thing to hear compared to all the keyboard heroes that bash people's work but don't post their own videos. I'll actually be posting a comparison video of features that you may or may not find on a 350Z. Hopefully later this week.
Planning on getting an 07-08 Z in the upcoming months and I just got to say thank you for this video. I’ve watch other “reviews” that barely go into detail on the Z. Soo glad I found yours, once again, thanks!
Thanks for watching! If you do get one I have a bunch of other videos.
AnthonyJ350 You bet i am already watching them 😂
The rubber bushings on these cars are terrible also. And Nissan won't replace the bushings they'll make you buy the actual part [i.e. upper/lower control arm, etc]. And a used Z may also have issues with a worn or blown out subframe bushing. Nissan will charge you $1400+ to buy an entirely new subframe, but aftermarket is the way to go [poly, or aluminum]. After mine went out I ordered aluminum ones from SIKKY and the car gained alot more stability.
?? I thought that was only racing cars
Much appreciation for the informative videos. Your channel is snowflake level. I genuinely appreciate what you do.
Thank you for watching the videos!
Beautiful video my brother. Got flash backs to DOT pretrip inspections. You've earned my long term subscription
Thanks so much for subscribing! Maybe because I have my trucking license and have that mindset??? 🤔
My 2004 Engine has ZERO oil consumption. Don't buy the 2006 RevUp version. It's the least reliable engine of all the 350z engines. I check my oil once a year. Because i know the car is good. I trust it.
Also, i had three things with my car go wrong. My window motor stopped working (10 dollar fix) and my Subwoofer stopped working and my CD player stopped working correctly. My engine and everything else? Never had any issue any at all. Nice video by the way.
Overal the 350z is a very reliable car. It's just a good car! I know these kind of cars you will see on the road with high mileage.
I think you should check your oil more than once a year. Did you try my dipstick mod? ua-cam.com/video/1Yrlq285UHY/v-deo.html
Should i buy a 2003 Nissan 350z ? It has 58,500 miles and owned by an elderly lady that has it in her garage collecting dust. What should i check and is it recommended due to age ? thanks
^^^
+3series 9 Check every lubrication point, ask if it's been started every so often. If not you're in a world of trouble. gas issues, seals running dry, etc.
Hopefully you at least change your oil more than once a year, good Lord 😂😂😂😂
I absolutely love this content, as I'm looking for one of these cars now, this has the most pragmatic view of the car I've seen. GG 10.6/10
Jason Paul Glad you're liking the videos, remember to share any content you like!
you have done me a great favour doing this vid. saved me a whole lot of time and effort. looking at stillen upgrades
mrndlprsnr That's great it helped! I have a whole Playlist where we do basic mods to the car if you want to check out my channel more.
This video is amazing thank you so much for the detail you went into. I’m looking at buying a 350 pretty soon and this gave me a lot of confidence!
So glad the video helped you! If you get a 350Z (or G35) I have a lot more videos dedicated to these cars.
Love this video. Good to watch before bed. Makes me ZZZ fast as hell
Lol, you must really like this video. Did you watch the model comparison video I posted not too long ago?
Hey Anthony great video before I went out to get a Miata I saw a video like this about them and now that I'm thinking of getting a z this was super helpful.
They're such awesome cars. If you're looking into it, I'd look now while there a decent amount of good condition ones.
definitely almost have enough saved up should be any week now
Seriously amazing video, well thought out and informative. Good stuff.
Thank you for watching!
Just got my '04 Z and this vid was helpful and informative. Thank you 👌
Glad it helped!
wow, your 350zed vids are so helpfull! thank you so much. your explanation on clutch control and rpms to shift times really helped me when i started shifting@3000. the only problem im running into is replacing my ac compressor/clutch. i have an 06' w/ 145K miles. runs great except my ac flywheel seized up last month. do you think you can do a vid on how to replace this part? i dont want to pay $900 for parts&labor when i know it can be done at home. thanks buddy.
Thanks! Ya there's definitely a trick or style needed to drive the car smooth. As for that ac pump, I'm probably going to pay the Z Shop to do mine when the time comes. I don't know if I have the time myself to do it quickly. We'll see if I decide to do it. Maybe I'll have my house by then with a lift :D
Thank you so much for the good and detailed information! Writing you from Germany. Looking for a 350z here too. :)
I live in kelowna and bought an 06 a week ago. Got tons of info from your vids. nice to see someone local. thanks for helping find the right car
brad t I happy to hear I was able to help!
Brad T Hey, I happen to also live in Kelowna(lol) and I'm looking at buying a 350z. Couple questions, is it alright in the winter? And Is there alotta room inside? Thanks
Timing the rev and smoothly shifting helped me to pass the driving test with compliment from the cop and see relieved face from my teacher. thanks
That's awesome!
Great video, very well done. You can tell you put some time in it's production. On top of all of that, very informative!! I just bought a 2005 350Z Roadster and content such as this is exactly what i'm looking for.
Thanks! Make sure to check the rest of the channel
Thank you for making this video, very nice for NooBs like me!

Thanks a lot for making these videos, I haven't been so serious in buying a particular vehicle in a long time. Your videos are truly helpful!

I want that Viper remote so badly!! Great video, very informative for new Z buyers. I didn't know about the manual gas door opener, thanks for that.
Ya the Viper system are awesome. When you have it professionally installed (which means come see me :)
This was genuinely the best help video I subscribed to you I'm planning on getting a 350 in about a month or less' time and you definitely had the best guide video. Amazing work man much love.❤
So glad you liked it! I have a whole 350Z Playlist you can check out on my channel 🙂
@@AnthonyJ350 thank you brother love the content.
Really nice guide. I have always admired 350z styling, but I never really knew anything else about them..
J Wohl Thanks, hopefully the video explained some stuff.
Now this is a good review
Thanks :)
Great video! Very helpful! Small tip i used to use Lucas fuel additives and occasionally zmax, but if u look up reviews where people actually run the stuff through decent tests you'll see its not doing much if anything, there's much better products for the same thing.
Lucas seems to have good results with people showing results online. I have 240,00KM on my truck and it runs great.
Nicely Done. Good pace of info and comprehensive. An accompanying checklist would be sweet to walk through in the order you cover them in the video. Saves the views typing at pace as you talk ;-)
Good tip, I'll see if I can update the description.
Very good video with a lot of details and first hand experience.
Bee Y Thank you!
Thanks so much for posting this. I'm looking at buying an '05 Anniversary edition with 38,000 miles, bone stock. Looks to be in pristine condition. This makes me aware of some of the idiocyncracies and trouble spots on the 350Z, a car I'm not overly familiar with...but hope to be very soon!
Best 350z's are the 2006-2008, those model years had the newer refreshend exterior/interior and the new updated engine that makes more power, most noticeable on the exterior are the new LED taillights that look amazing and add a tad of luxury and/or at the very least it makes the rear end look very modern...even in the year 2019....
I agree, I like the newer interiors a lot more.
@@AnthonyJ350me too, I prefer the newer interior...you can clearly see the materials were of better quality when compared to the 2003-2005 models.
Nice job. Very helpful. I have not bought one yer but this video will help me look in the right places.
Glad to hear it was able to help you a little!
Very informative and well presented.
Thanks for watching!
This is my realistic dream car, the only thing that is putting me off it is the insurance rates in the UK. I need to wait a couple of years for my premium to go down, at the moment it would cost me nearly £6000 a year to insure.
That's crazy! When you convert to Canadian the insurance rate is how much I bought the car for 😯
AnthonyJ350 It's crazy in the UK, it does help stop some of the idiotic drivers. I am looking for a new car, but I don't think I will be getting this anytime soon. After I get a few more NCB Years it will drop a lot. I am nearly finishing my first year of driving, my Mini Cooper 1.6 cost me £1200 a year with the dreaded black box.
That's a smarter move. Use your money to invest in yourself like education/ training and tools. That way you can make more money.
We don't pay for education until University, but I am not going, I am in an apprenticeship, but it is only £3.35 an hour, so it may take me a while to get the money together, I am hoping there are nice Zs near me by that time.
4k for me in the US, which is almost 10% of my annual salary.
Hahaha 😂😂 love the TJ "shade" thrown in there casually about the clutch!
I love TJ's videos but definitely found that funny
Thanks really helpfull this is my dreamcar. Going to buy it next year
Awesome! Glad to hear the video helped you!
Very informative, thank you!
You're welcome! Glad you liked the video, lots more to come!
Thanks 🙏 very informative as I’m buying a customized 350Z convertible next week
Awesome! Hope the car is a good one!
First off, I'd like to thank you for making a very useful and informative video--much more professional than that TJ Hunt guy.I do like to make a couple points about your comments though in reference to the engine "ticking" and sound during idle and turning off. I have an '08 model and do not experience any "tractor" sounds during idle, and ticking or needing to depress the clutch when turning off the motor so this might just be your car or maybe problems with the rev-up engine. I'm no mechanic so maybe you're right and I could just be losing my hearing because I'm old. Also, in your previous video you mentioned a "mushy" clutch pedal. Again, this is not something I have experienced in my vehicle since the day I bought it new. I have 65K on my vehicle and still on the stock clutch and it has worked/felt the same as the day I bought it back in '08. You did mention you bought your Z used so perhaps the previous owner either did not take care of their vehicle or made some modifications you were not aware of.One thing I would like to add to your list of "what to look for" would be the rear shock absorbers as they are easily worn out. I've already gone through 2 sets--on my 3rd--and even the dealer has confirmed to me that it is a known issue in the 350z's.Keep up the good work since these videos are my "go to" sites for DIY. Thanks again.
I really think the clutch noise depends on the type of clutch you have (single mass dual mass). HR 350z's are definitely more refined. My car actually still has the original shocks from what I can see. Did you ever switch up to a brand like Bilstein?
No but will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks
***** Niice! Ya drive it hard and maintain it well.
this was very informative great content
Ares Gibbs Thanks!
This is very helpful! I've been going back and forth about the 350Z and the RX-8 and I'm pretty sure I've decided on the 350Z. Thank you!
No problem! It wasn't because of my wheel joke was it? lol
AnthonyJ350 haha, no, I like the specs and style of the Z
300,000 miles with a Z or 100,000 with the 8. Pretty easy decision.
12k for automatic 08 350z convertible with 56k miles. Has bilstein coilovers, stillen dual intake, invidia exhaust.
Good price considering the mileage and modifications.
very useful info, im looking at an 03 with the syncho problems, how much does a transmission replacement usually cost?
Guitars AndJams They're brand new at z1motorsports for under 3 grand I think.
Guitars AndJams how much are they asking for the 03
4000

Thanks for this video. I know that Z drivers have a stereotype for driving them into the ground and now I know what to look for when buying one! thanks for the help :)
Glad it helped you!
had a 2005 350z. regular oil changes with synthetic got me 285000 with a second transmission. the first one got changed under warranty. six speed manual.
Nice! That's a testament to good maintenance. Good job!
Is that in miles or km ?
Miles
Wow, nice job!
Rolilasx Thanks!
very helpful, I have an 06 6mt g35 and I thought a lot of the "problems" were something wrong with the car, such a relief
Ya they're just not the most refined cars in the world. You get a lot of performance for your money though.
Great video! Very informative. I drive an 06 roadster with 20" x 8 and 20 x12 tires on High Chrome Niche wheels. She is a serious head turner and a total c-tease at read lights when Corvettes or any other ego car pulls up. I have a super 'to your home' mechanic that I trust but your videos really help me to understand and feel good about my ride. Thank!!!
Thanks for watching!
I am planning on buying a 350z I am modifying the exhaust for sure and some tuning what year should I get it PLEASE HELPPP
Legendary Plays i wanna know too
2007 n up
What I hate is how fast the revs drop when the AC is on. So I have to either give it more revs or hit the revs more than once to get the car moving. I can get it moving without gas when the AC is off. lol.
Ya it bogs the motor a bit and you have to change your driving style. Good tip! Keep them coming!
really? I have a 08 and I knew it would decrease Hp by a few but it actually makes a noticeable difference? I'm gonna have to start driving hard without and see. I assume this is the same in the HR
+k dot I have an hr.
frankth3frizz any noticeable difference while driving? worth keeping the ac off?
+k dot at WOT not really. but in low gears I feel it. I shift at around 2100rpms with the AC off and around 2600 with the AC on.
awesome video. it was really intresting. im in the market for this car specifcally and i intent to give it the same attention you made. thanks.
Angel Gutierrez Thanks! This season I plan to show basic driving with the car, how to store the car and suggestions for tint to reduce glare.

At least you knew what you were about to get into.
Lol word
Another helpful video, Anthony...my 350 is getting up there and am looking for a lower mileage one now. Question: what is the brand of stubby antenna on your car? I have looked online, but have not found one that small. Thanks!

Fantastic video. Thank you

Mate all engines have oil consumption.
To different degrees. My LS based V8 in my pickup you barely notice it between oil changes. So depends on the engine design.
I'll like to add a few comments for future owners since I had a 2004 touring roadster and now I have a 2007 touring roadster.
2004: window motors sucked donkey balls. thermostat stuck close at 65k miles and I had to remove it on the side of the road and rip apart the thermostat core from the housing or i'll be stranded on side of road or pay tow truck. no way jose. the most annoying was the immobilizer went out. this is NOT a user serviceable item because you also have to program ECU chips and keys with nissan equipment. they charged me $480
2007: stupid ass clutch slave cylinder blew out 3 times because I had stage 3 clutch. changed to stage 2 and next one blew twice. luckily I do the work. now I'm oem clutch and lightweight flywheel. these cylinders are apparently engineered to only handle oem pressure plate loads.
the convertible top sucks camel balls for BOTH of the above models. now I try to only open mine once a year to clean the area. I just love the 2tome look that's why I didn't get a coupe.
OVERALL: phenomenal cars compared to other shitbuckets of same class out there. I'm sure they have their worse problems too if you check their forums. just don't get a mazda. shit engineered cars by bmw idiotic leftover engineers hired by mazda.
yeah the immobilizers can be trash on earlier years. had a friend stranded Lol
The reason why you're havin such a hard time is because you bought convertible zeds
Nice bmx/skate spot in thumbnail
excellent video by the way the most helpful video I've seen on the 350Z for general purpose issues to watch out for. one of the things on mine and I've only had it for a month but the driver side window when it auto drops down with the door handle it's sort of clunky the way the window moves and I assume that means the window motor is wearing out or bushings or something.
Thanks for watching! Make sure to check out all my other 350Z videos. It is possible the window assembly is worn out. Make sure all the bolts that hold it to the sub metal panel of the door are tight, you'll have to remove the door panel in order to do so.
I'm looking to get a 350z soon... What's the best year to get? I plan on modifying it slightly.
Slight modification 2007+ With the HR. 2006 with the REVUP is the best value and more forgiving with mods and the check engine light, same exterior (except the hood) and interior as 2007+
+AnthonyJ350 so 2006 is probably the best fit? I don't think HR is necessary if I will get that extra 19hp back from mods.
+Flybyes Well the HR is a more refined powertrain. Higher rev limit, factory headers twin intake etc. But it costs more typically.
+AnthonyJ350 ok. I'm on a somewhat tight budget, looking for one at about $10k and under so I can mod it and still have money left over. The HR does sound nice but I'm not sure I can spend about $12k+ on the car alone. Thanks for the help 👍🏼
+Flybyes No problem, remember mine is an 06 and I love it. You can see in my other videos as I slowly build it up.
guide to buying a 350z, don't buy a DE, and dont buy an auto 😂
Aidan Parker We'll I'm not saying don't buy a regular DE. But ya auto no fun (for me) unless you physically can't drive it.
BS excuse I live in LA
Aidan Parker i prefer a manual but if u live in a crowded city manual is a pain in traffic.
theyre all DE lol
k2lmurda the 2007 to 2008 have hr's
thanks bro... i need this tips for my fairlady
Glad it helped!
Love my 2006 350Z! Great vid!
Thank you!
How much you get it for
Just going to get an automatic and avoid 50% of these problems
A lot of the "problems" of the manual can be corrected with a clutch line and proper driving technique.
I prefer to have more control over my vehicle, so … MT all the way.
User Loser buying an auto 350z is like buying a vip luxury cruiser, and putting solid bucket racing seats in it. Completely wrong application for the product.
Why do you shit on The Rx8?? the only reason they die is because people are to dim witted to keep up with the maintenance. ffs if you're not willing to take care of a Rotary don't fucking buy one
Jon Rigley Well ya there's a reason the Wankel engine isn't practiced in design anymore. The thing can't seal. I'm just joking. Rotary is a nice fairy tale design but RX7'S are in the shop too much in my opinion.
Awesome video just makes me want this car that much more
Andy Ciora Ya they're great cars.
Great vid. Thanks for the info
You're welcome, and thanks for watching!
used 350z cost me 49900 in my country. smh
Udenn 420 we are talking about used cars not brand new
What country?
Uhh Singapore?
Tj knows nothing about cars
I feel like that's true.
why do you think he's always behind the camera 😂
you cant be into cars and know nothing.
tk g thats not true. knowing nothing about cars does not mean you are not into cars thats not how things work
TK G we all start somewhere
Just got my 350Z and I am really in love with it and having issue with overheating right now
I would change out the thermostat, coolant and bleed the system ua-cam.com/video/rFY3iduvjxM/v-deo.html
Very good tips! Thanks a lot friend. Will buy my Z next month. :-)
D. Fernald Nice! Let us know what you get.
AnthonyJ350 Will do!
Hahahaha the tj hunt comments . That kid doesn’t know anything about cars
Me and my silly Family channel Help share the video and make me more popular lol
I hate people that say "zed" 😒
Jeremy O'Neal Then you're going to hate me most of the time and the rest of the common wealth :)
AnthonyJ350 just called it Z bro please; grinds all my gears lmao
TheXBLEST that's how you actually say Z
Zed is how Z is pronounced in the UK, idk why homeboy is saying Zed though since he got an american accent lol
Chris Andrade He's Canadian
Great video for a guy like me who wants to buy one....thx!
What do you guys think about 350z roadster?
Lucky Luciano I'm not a fan. It's heavier and the lines don't look that good
Not clutching is easy to be honest 70% of the time I don't use it unless I'm at a dead stop and I taking off or traffic and yes I learned that in truck driving school now it's second nature great video my man all good info.
Thanks for watching!
Its a 350z not 350zed. Call it a 350z or if youre feeling asian call it a z33
Taylor McCallum I'm feeling Canadian so I'm going to say "zed".
AnthonyJ350 youd need to be feeling ancient greek to pronoundlce it as zed. Sorry if youre offended its a pet peeve of mine.
Taylor McCallum But all of the Common Wealth say Zed. England for example. Tiff on 5th Gear says zed in the old reviews.
AnthonyJ350 it is in no way shape or form labeled with a zed. Its a force of habbit for european people. It bugs me and i dont know where it started but i wish it didnt. By the books its a 350z or a z33.
It's how was say it man sorry. We don't add an "ed" we just say Zed.
awesome video man enjoyed it and gives me more ideas for my 06 that I still haven't made the time gonna get on it soon thx !
Glad you liked it :)
+AnthonyJ350 quick question how much did you end up spending on all the LEDs and lights
Love your vids man
Thanks for the support! And remember to share what you like!
Very helpful. Thank you very much!
Glad it helped!
I’m currently in the market so I’m gonna check all of this before I get mine.
I like your wait for the sychro tip.
People see movies of somebody making a fast shift and think you just yank it out of gear and in one smooth move slam it up or down.
It's a dance with the clutch engagement point. Many put the clutch in, or let it out blowing past the feely point of engagement.
There's 90 percent movement where nothing is happening and it all happens in ten.
You should feel the beginning middle and end of that ten percent.
Feel like you are spreading peanut butter.
Not chopping salami.
That doesn't mean frying the clutch, it's more like a start. Feeding power smoothly and disengaging in braking and corners without a lurch.
Think of the clutch like a volume knob, not a light switch.
Thanks for sharing!
Great video real world experience
bruce wayne Thanks!
New Sub for this Video alone...Thanx Bro
No problem! A lot more where these came from, just check out the channel and playlists
How much did you end up paying for the 350Z in the video, if you do not mind me asking? Very good video by the way, you've earned my sub.
Josh Davis Thanks for the support! Ya cars in Canada are more expensive, I paid 13,500 for a bone stock Enthusiast.
