Haha, never had someone say that yet, we're trying to model this channel as an amalgamation of war tactics and the actual Enlightenment where thought were advanced and new concepts practiced(the term Dalonbert used was 'Practical Enlightenment'). Glad you're now ready to spread the word! :)
This game has such a huge learning curve. I just "F6" and let my companions command things while I ride around just trying to get a good grasp on combat. Great fun otherwise! I need to learn to save more often lol.
That was right with you when I first started, I can barely command my guy on horse and would get killed by looters. A few years later and a lot of mistakes and learning and here I am. By the way we have an intermediate tactic series for people who are at your stage trying to get better at commanding their army. Check it out!
You're welcome, bud, hope you crush it with the same tactic or something like it. I always expect fellas to take parts and pieces of the tactics we're showing as everyone has their play style. Happy crushing!
Your points on versatility are true. Every kingdom has its strengths for sure, and the Fian Champs may be the exception but for the most I think each kingdom is fairly balanced as fair as troops right now.
It's actually funny how op fians are, but Battania never survives in my campaigns. Sturgia usually goes out first, followed by Battania. Vlandia is usually pretty strong, empire, aserai, Khuzaits don't do so well either. Aserai take over their territory. 🤔
Hey Tactical, loved the video 😍 I will definately have to practice this battle until I get the hang of it. Thanks for your content, tactics do make the game more interesting and fun. I used to just delegate command and only use my main to clobber my opponents. But now I have to think about the various types of troops, love how you use skirmishers I think they have a bad rep, so I'd need to get some lake rats or sea bandits? Because sturgia just has t3 skirmishers. What's your army load out? Top tier or homogeneous? Lots of questions here! Cheers mate and thanks for the vid!
I usually run highest first, but if that's too unbalanced, homogenous(depending on the fight). I prefer wildlings, so just recruit some low level battanian skirmishers and upgrade them, lake rats are great too, last the aserai infantry has pretty good javelins...
When you split your units up after the battle starts, do they still receive the captain buff when they’re in a different group? I was thinking it might be good in campaign if you don’t have a good level companions or family members to fill the captain roles.
I don't know how it works and I'm not sure if there is an easy way to test this. I do generally like to build up 5-6 elite companions for combat and 2-3 as governor/party leaders though.
nice! I realise its not tactically viable - but im interested to see how you would "turtle" against an overwhelming force - basically how would fight yourself but better.
I generally fight defensive, then counter-punch once I have taken the enemy hit. If I was playing offensive, it would be TONS of flanking, then multiple units attacking at once, looking for soft troops first(archers and skirmishers). Not sure if I could sim this or display it but if I can, I'll upload it...
I haven't tried one of these challenges with Zuvan, but this is a video of 'Grygor', his grandfather, a level 60 beast with either legendary or custom elite weapons. Admittedly I had less skill at this point than today but it's still a good brawl: ua-cam.com/video/oxHrXSsyWfY/v-deo.html
I can only move one too, what I am doing is moving one unit and then while moving it, holding down I think 'shift' which shows me where other units are already heading to(it shows their dots and I use that for reference).
Brilliant. I'll use this for sure. Keep them coming, I really like WINNING
As a teacher, there is nothing more than I love hearing guys are out there butchering the enemy with my help. Sally forth and crush 'em! :)
"The falcon earns a victory through sheer savagery"
Love it.
After watching I’m am now tactically enlightened thank you for the video it was entertaining and full of sweet knowledge!

Very cool usage of the circle formation. Im going to try and use this. Thanks for the masterclass!

I'd tend to agree, REMARKABLY balanced considering how many units and differences there are between the kingdoms...

@@ferg4486 In my campaign, before things went chaotic(war with all), Battania was actually doing OK, best was Southern Empire and Vlandia.
died at sack of rice lmfao. Great video!

dude you make me want this game
It's a great game but it has it's flaws. Fortunately there are mods for quite a few of the game shortcomings... (and thak you for the kind words!)

Hey! RTS causes bannerlord to crash for me, what versions are you playing with on both?
RTS 4.1.30.0
Bannerlord Vanilla 1.2.8.31530
Goodluck!

Had to look this up, says Intel i-7, 13th gen 2.10 Ghz, 32GB ram, NVidia Geforce RTX 4060 Ti

Which kingdom do you think has the best javelin troops?
Battania, mostly because their wildlings are so nasty, and TWO stacks of 5 high-end javelins...
