Cool to see the squares against Vlandia. Previously I remember you featuring screening cav against an elite cav army so it was nice to see a different way to skin the cat. Generative AI would be really cool but even other forms of AI programming is better than what we have. The total war series while definitely not perfect offers AI tactics that are better than the essentially F1-F3 that we get now.
Yeah I wanted to show another way to deal with nasty Banner Knights, you nailed it... Hopefully there is either a mod of TW improvement of the AI but not holding my breath...

First thank you for the awesome channel, completely changed how I play the game. Went from stacked MODs only to no mods at all with a family of 60, enjoying it now more than ever. Question though, is your 8 core mixed Cav and infantry/archers seems incredibly difficult to utilize? If I don’t spread them(family) I can’t level them very fast. Do they only graduate to the 8th core once they prove themselves 😂?
Thanks for the comment - I'm stoked others are enjoying my style of play. Yes, they were originally largely one solid division(the 8th) that I used as a shock/reserve unit) but I have progressed to having them in divisions that makes more sense, ie. elite archers in my archer corp(4th/5th), skirmishers/javelins in my 6th), and heavy cav in my 8th. You're dead on that they work better in their proper divisions, MOST of the time. In my campaign I have a lot of battle deaths so they do frequently get 'benched', ie killed. I have a horde of new babies coming though and usually new 'recruits' for the divisions as some others die off...

lol, oh no, no rage quitting, friend! Has the intermediate tactic series of playlist helped at all? Or the custom battles? Some of the more advanced tactics like this battle are very VERY difficult to pull off but there are plenty of instructional videos on the channel that will help out players of all skill levels. I want my viewers DOMINATING, not in a fetal position lol
No doubt! I actually did a whole episode on how badass sharpshooters are. On the same note I also did a whole episode on how bad heavy cavalry is which is unfortunate because that's not very historically accurate.
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions I tend to get the most success with heavy cav using them as screeners, counter chargers, disrupters and as Dragoons. The last meaning getting them into position, dismounting then using them as an inf block. Works amazingly well for Druz champions, meaning they double as a cav and infantry wall so it frees up space for more specialized units (like linebreakers). Only obstacle is war horse requirements but it feels borderline unfair being able to use a cav as a swiss army knife that is also in the top of its class since it lets you control the battlefield in a way Heavy spearmen/Axemen cant. Eventually when I do Sturgia only I may just forget about convential lineholders in favor of Druz and fill the rest of the army with Linebreakers and Raiders (to see if they can work as dragoon skirmishers). Sturgia is a weird faction that way, seems like its a trait that they have units that are functional hybrids.
Something I just learned that can help people.. press the unit number e.g. 1 then put the green flag where you want the unit to face and press F7 and the unit will rotate towards where you put the flag.. hope that makes sense. 😅 I’ll use this for my flanking archers.. use the “bait ball” square infantry.. pull them back and rotate the archers to face the enemy.
Yes.. pick a unit… put the purple flag where you want them to face.. press F7. What I like to do is move my Archers on the flanks.. I’ll make a video 😂 sorry I’m not good explaining.
I needed this is my campaign. I am an Asarai fighting for battania (I have conquered all of the Asarai territory, and Caladog blessed me with control over all the towns) The vlandians are really strong in my campaign, so I can finally make them my b*tch 😂

I dont fear Vlandian Elite Cav, I fear their Crossbows.

The “purple flag” actually it’s just like F3 + F1 = Face this direct.. besides you press F7. It will always be that.. never face the enemy.

I HAVE, and a few times in the Peasants Rebellion campaign I do, but I find shield-bursting javelins superior in most battles.

@@matejkubis I run mods that often make the enemy lords carry even more high level units. Maybe that's why I prefer it...
