Goosebumps. Billy Zane was the perfect Phantom
I wish they'd made a sequel, Billy Zane's was perfect in the role and the movie was a faithful adaptation to Lee Falk's comics.
I agree. This film was horribly underrated.
But this movie is soo racist too😑
@@budhengatma9375 only because it's faithful to the source material.
I really really agree but oh well
@John Doe you are complaining about the color of the outfit? Are you even familiar with the source material?
-Who was that guy?
-Somebody I already killed.
-What?
-You heard me. I killed him years ago.
-Well guess what? He's back!
Love that!
Makes sense when you consider that the Phantom is a whole lineage of heroes.
Such an underrated superhero movie in my opinion...
and here I thought Tarzan was lord of the jungle, LOL !!
I will forever love Billy Zane for this role as The Phantom xxxxx
I love the movie, Billy Zane looks awesome as the Phantom.
whatever they made the costume out of should have been used for Batman instead of moulded rubber
Me too Billy Zane best The Phantom they couldn't make a sequel but I guess not👈
At least Billy Zane got to be the phantom At least once and something is better than nothing and I’m really glad he enjoyed making this to me in my mind you will always be the phantom he was born to play the role in my opinion
I dont care whats been said....i liked it
Epic intro. The way the music builds, then they cut to his eyes, the hard lighting on the suit, the closeups of the gun, the ring, the belt. So great. They don't make superhero movies like that anymore.
Don't forget the shots of Devil and Champion.
The Ghost who walks
Man my childhood of drawing him multiple times during class or at home, my first real hero before Batman, Spiderman etc.
Wish they'd remake this now but decently handled. Billy Zane will always be the best movie version so far though.
I was born in 1994, I've been having nostalgic dreams about movies I watched growing up. The dark crystal, labyrinth, a laundry list tbh. Seeing this clip and your comment made me feel good, just wanna say thanks, and I hope you're well.
They did remake it into a two part miniseries and it wasn't bad. They updated the suit with a modern touch to it and it still feels like how the phantom should feel like
Deserved more love than it received. The lush set pieces and production values are a feast for the eyes. Blockbuster had a Phantom Promotion which included a large yellow plastic bowl for the microwave popcorn provided. There were a couple other items which I can't remember (but I'd bet someone does remember) and the movie was enjoyable and memorable.
They definitely don't make movies like these anymore. It felt like they brought the 20s into the 90s with this one
The had the Phantom's ring as well
Enemies beware! The Phantom is always there... But you won't find The Phantom, he finds you...
Definitely most underrated movie for it’s time phantom always the best
Phantom just sits quietly in a cave in full costume waiting for someone to need his help.
Imagine if he had to take a piss only for someone to yell for help once he leaves his chair.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) , The Rocketeer (1991) , The Shadow (1994)
& The Phantom (1996).
All very underrated superhero films. What made them great was that they focused on the comic adaptations without taking themselves too seriously. So the end result is a light hearted but action packed family film. Take note 2021
The Turtles was anything but underrated. That film was a huge hit, spawning 2 not so great sequels.
@@GetToDaChoppa-k5r the ooze sequel was great 😂
Wow no muscle suit
just Billy Zane
That horse of his is so damn beautiful
I remember me and the audience getting chills when this scene played in the theater during opening weekend of that saturday. The audience applauded when the phantom rose up from his chair.
You still remember?…I can’t…I just remember the 711 rings they gave out for this movie
This is a great action/adventure film.
I was 9 when this came out. Now I'm grown, it's still a great film. I've talk to people who never seen or even heard of the film.
I totally forgot about this movie. I loved this when I was a kid. I watched it probably, like, at least 50 times. 😄
My dad was the guy who brought coffee to the producers of this movie
A hero riding a horse in a closed jungle, as if it were a prairie?
Did it in the comics too.
I remember this movie and cartoon underrated
This movie is incredible
Yooo the nostalgia I've been looking for this
Pure Legend
This scene for me as a child was the best scenes
05:01 that slow-mo shot 🔥
Damn! I had almost forgot about this movie
2:13 But only a ghost can do that! A ghost…who walks!
Wanted a live action sequel
Great movie
Every 90's kids hero and I loved every minute of it
Oh Phantom my favourite Superhero.
I'd love to see a James Gunn directed Phantom, 1930s aesthetics, guerilla warfare and violence, absurd humor
I'm not in favor of remakes but The Phantom needs a better reboot to rival that of both DC and Marvel.
2:10 I had no idea that Eddie Marzan was a British actor until after Sherlock Holmes (2009) came out! And lo, this is him, in The Phantom!
Enter: The Phantom, the Ghost Who Walks.
I really like the score in The Phantom
It is just stunning. The main theme is so wonderfully suited to the character too and I've always loved his intro in this movie. It just hits so well, like how the soundtrack in Iron Man perfectly encapsulates his reveal in his unpainted suit out for his test flight.
No matter what he does now I hope he remembers the time when he made the phantom
The soundtrack is epic, we deserved a sequel from the great Billy Zane
I wish they could make a second one.
Best movie ever made
Nice suit nice gun belt and very rings
The Phantom/Kit Walker
(The 21st Phantom)
1:23 If he moves, eat him
Can't get much better than this lmao!
I couldn’t agree more but such is life
I remember first watching this in a laser disc,, then got a copy for the VHS
Nice of them to turn Phantom into a normal guy who isnt so confifdent of his abilities, strives, grunts, struggles, is awkward, etc...
Not only is the movie alluding to the famous rope bridge ending of Temple of Doom, but is actually two movie references in one; it also references William Friedkin's Sorcerer when the truck goes over the rope bridge, recalling a spectacular scene in that movie. Some say it was an influence on Raiders of the Lost Ark and I really think the director had all of this in mind.
They should make another one but with Billy zane only he was great in this movie
Or with Billy Zane playing the new Phantom's father. Basically continue it, a direct sequel years later.
Fantomens häftiga äventyr
Si puede subir la pelicula completa en español The Phantom, gracias muy interesante su página
Reminds me of indiana jones
I wish Billy Zane was cast in BvS instead of Eisenberg😡
Are you F***ing insane? Did you ever see Demon Knight? He'd give Eisenberg a run for his money in the Ham department.
Ooooh that would've been a great choice!
The characterization woukd still have been exactly the same.
I don't like to ask Xander Drax too many questions. His answers scare me
This part was always worn on the vhs because I always rewinded this scene lol
This movie is so fun. Take Indiana Jones 1 & 3, journey to the mysterious island, romancing the Stone, some Batman movies and you have an underrated fun action flick
The Ghost that walks
Yeah that's my video game
Yes
I want to call him goofy looking, but honestly, I can’t. The suit is just as it looked in the comics, and the action is amazing. It surprised me how a movie like this one could exist.
tbh, the suit is a little goofy looking, despite being comic book accurate but I dig it anyway.
I personally prefer a comic accurate suit than a supposedly realistic that takes away everything that I love about the character for example Hollywood adaptations characters like batman and Daredevil are awful they want them to look realistic I guess
THATS FUCKING BILLY ZANE
Here comes the dumptom..
We want see this movie....again in new series..
The Phantom is kinda a cool character, I think he's cool. The all purple suit isn't just really doing it for me. If it was a darker purple and had some black ascents it would be an awesome suit. And if you gave the suit all white eyes and not a mouth hole the suit would be perfect
Maybe Billy Zane should Joined Casts The Man From Toronto with Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, Kaley Cuoco and Pierson fode Patrick Hughes who direct The hitman's bodyguard and The Expendables 3 he director film 🎥 🎬👈🙏🙏🙏👍⚡💯
Watching tombstone brought me back
I remember getting the promo ring at the theatre. then I dressed in purple the next day at school with the ring and got made fun of.
Did that tree move?
Fun fact: Films like Richy Rich, The phantom as well as a plethora of films that are legend came out in and around the same year. I called it the platinum age of cinematography. I was 10
The phantom is zorro , Batman, the lone ranger , Indiana
Jones and tarzan roled into one😅
I can't see how he is Zorro and batmat but he is very cool I love realistic characters
That's a movie
The movies that were made in the past were more beautiful even the action movies were much more better than movies in these days..
Devil was so cute.
So Why The Phantom wearing purple spandex not old green. brown or black
Yeah Dane Farwell in The phantom 1996 before The first film Scream
Looks like an "Indy" movie...
I wait the full film
It really is a movie he is not from the phantom 2040 is his video game said the phantom no said phantom they video games to him
David Newman Isolated Score Phantom VS Thugs Chase
And Danny Phantom is also him he a cartoon too and him
Pink Guy's superhero grandpa
#VikrantRona : The World of phantom 🥵 this July 28th 🔥🌪️😈
There's definitely something about 90s super hero movies. they are campy and the costumes seem to be true to the source material
why did the truck explode? The gas tank is not on the top of the truck.
*PLEASE MAKE A FILM ON...*
*THE PHANTOM ASSEMBLING WORLD'S FIRST SUPERHERO TEAM...!*
*"THE DEFENDERS OF THE EARTH"*
*BEFORE THE AVENGERS*
*BEFORE THE JUSTICE LEAGUE*
*BEFORE THE TEEN TITANS*
*BEFORE THE SUICIDE SQUAD*
The Defenders of The Earth came out in 1985 as a cartoon
The Justice League came in 1960
Avengers 1963
Teen Titans 1964
Maybe with The Rocketeer, The Shadow and Rick O’Connell from the Mummy? That would have been awesome if that had been made back in the 90s.
snarls
Phuck it's the Phantom.
Who watch this now
Why don't they remake this movie
Rook
police 👮♀️ police 👮♂️ n detectives 🕵️♀️
They're from the clips it's funny how they collect the skulls in the jewels kind of like Thanos in the skulls and a hand not about no Donna from Pleasanton the from the clips UA-cam battle never make fun of anybody getting kidnapped I don't know what's going on I like the computer programmer and already told them to stay off my phone
I like the European Phantom better. He’d got a blue outfit.
Dane Farwell was smashed the head on tree by Billy Zane
Imhotep
I have always memories as a kid watching this purple hero and his rings , was a very mystical movie back then, producers should do a remake instead of bringing us shit filled movies like black widow etc
