Hey guys, in this video I show you how to make a very easy and efficient Tree / wood farm which gives a lot of wood!
This tutorial shows you how to make the BEST TREE FARM In Minecraft 1.19, but it works on older versions as well! With this farm you can get tons of wood in Minecraft. This is a wood tree farm. You can build this in survival.

This tree farm is a billion times better than any other I've tried, way less complicated, never fails and generates more wood..
and the video is the best too. This is why i like Voltrox. No talking, clear instructions, and most importantly, gets straight to the point 👍

for those of you building in 1.19+, DONT USE THIS FARM WITH MANGROVE TREES. i learned the hard way and blew up half the farm and mangrove roots turn the water into source blocks
not sure if the mangrove tree caused the farm to blow up or if something else i did caused it
works great with cherry and oak trees, when using mangrove, the roots sometimes grow in front of you so you cant bonemeal the sapling, those are the only 3 ive tried so far

Here from the 1.20 update and you can use cherry saplings with this farm, I am unsure if changing the levers has any effect on the farm/production but the edges of the farm will get covered with some leaves and logs but as farm as I can tell they shouldn't effect the farm.

@@mrshlawn2048 I haven't had any issues with the tnt. I have asked at the farm for about an hour with no issues. Have you checked go make sure the slab got water logged and the levers are flipped the right way?

First wood farm I have built. Pro Tip - don't spam the trapdoor when he says to use it to see of the TNT machine works. I clicked it and saw nothing so I hit it multiple times and everything blew up :(. Farm works great though(1.20.2)
I tried the trapdoor and it did not work. I used dirt instead of scaffolding. Does that change anything?

I so dumb, the farm is very good for wood. I have built this because I needed dark log but I can’t use it with dark logs. Overall the farm is very good for other wood types, make sure to build a bonemeal farm it will help a lot

I love the simplicity of it. Can you please show how this could be converted to a non-TNT duper configuration? Efficiency/speed isn't important. Ease of use is. Thanks!
Can't. This design is not designed to be tnt usage efficient (so you'd be wasting alot of tnt.)
I'd recommend manual one or one that is blast efficient

There's a couple of glaring issue with this design and I hope it can be addressed properly.
[ Java 1.20.1 ]
1- Bottom log at the dirt block will not be destroyed properly. ( Even if you try to adjust the height of the obsidian or the TNT dupe height)
2- Huge spruce/oak trees are not fully cleared out, you can end up with extra parts that needs to be cleared manually.

I found another tutorial with a similar build and the solution is this.
For the bottom log issue: Change the tick rate for the repeater closest to water to 2.
1.20.2 is working

noticed in 1.20.1 tnt is maybe chanced idk and not sure but my tnt never drops to obsidian so instead I did 36 scaffolding and not 38. It works but if u don't place saplings the dirt will blow up

@@FerencKranicz i found the fix, i was on a paper minecraft server and didnt have piston duping on.
it doesn’t work for me, the tnt isn’t falling down but it’s just staying in the water

the trapdoor placed on the ground (before placing 38 scarfholding) the trapdoor should stick to the building block and then double click like open close so the duper will work

I would've liked for you to respond to everyone's comments about their concerns but whatever. for anyone who has the problem with the tnt damaging them... place a trapdoor on top of the chain and 1 obsidian in front of it facing the west. go under the trapdoor and slowly slide backwards until you are able to place a sapling and not be pushed backwards. (the sweet spot) for the dirt problem... all you have to do is replace the building block with a dirt block and remove the dirt block on top

Really great tutorial, only issue is that you will run out of bone meal very quickly. Even connecting a double chest to the bone meal dispenser and completely filling it, I ran out in about 20 minutes of using the farm. Because of this you will want to set up several bone meal farms nearby feeding into the dispenser if you plan on using this for extended periods of time. Alternatively, if you're using it to farm nether woods, you can set up a system to filter out the nether wart blocks and such, use composters to turn them into bone meal and then recycle it back through the farm. Probably still won't make it fully self-sustaining but it does help

When I first build it I messed up with the repeaters so it wasn’t working but after I fixed it the farm works very well.

The wood on the dirt block doesnt get broken, so the farm doesnt work. what should i do?

I moved the obsidian & dirt block stuff up one block. Now, sometimes it takes a couple of TNT to get the bottom wood block but it always does.
for anyone looking for a fix for the dirt breaking in 1.20, replace the building block with dirt and then lower the obsidian both by 1 block
That didnt work. However, just adding another obsidian next to the bottom one did.

@eblossoms I put it to the left of the lower obsidian, so as long as you keep putting the sappling it shouldn't break the dirt block

best wood farm tutorial i've ever seen
for those who had problems with tnt not breaking one piece of wood, at 3:56 its 7 scafflodings not 6 that solved my problem

For those that say it didn’t work
You have to break everything from 3:56 to 4:56 and start over from 3:56 but you do as he does but make that part 1 block higher than what he did in the video

IMPORTANT: For anyone who was taking damage like me, i found the solution in my creative world, if you are using oak (I have not tested with other wood, the DO NOT place the piston at 3:25, the piston at 3:25 moves the TNT closer to you and will make you take damage. so, if you don't want to take damage, simply destroy that piston. Your welcome! :)

it still damage but now it damage low when wearing an elytra but im sure when u wear a chestplate it will damage 0.0001 or smth (btw idk what iim saying rn)
it probably wont take damage check if you flicked the lever for jungle wood and then using it for overworld trees .Bc this will take damage

If you are using papermc u must enable duping in server config
I can confirm this does still work, I'm in the snapshot with the auto crafter and new copper stuff on java 24w07a on a realm, i have tested this so far with birch, acacia, oak, and cherry. It does work with those 4 , i think it would work with the two nether woods but have not tried yet. There is one thing to note, while it does work it requires some clean up with leaves and obviously a good amount of bone meal. I hooked up a double chest with a hopper behind the dropper so i can get more bonemeal and afk longer
I have built this farm twice in java 1.18.2 the first time everything was fine but the second time it wasn't blowing up the bottom wood block. I found that the tnt needs to blow up in the air and for what ever reason the second time I built it it didn't. So I changed the repeater closest to the water to 4 ticks and added a second one right after it. This worked for me but it might be a bit different for you.
when i hit the trap door the piston just pushes the activated tnt to the water+the observer what do i do
yea same here, i switched out the piston (nearer to the scaffolding) with sticky piston but since the further piston is attached to nothing (just blocks instead of redstone) im not sure

I have built it and perfectly works. If you are on a paper server make sure you go in server config and enable piston duplication

It worked at first but then something went wrong and I had to rebuilt parts of it, now the TNT doesn't drop it just explodes in the water block

if anyone wants to go explore while the farm is working, try placing an observor and dispenser so when the tree breaks, a new sapling is placed. (droppers drop blocks) (dispensers use blocks)
dispensers dont place saplings
It doesn't drop TNT
Are you sure you built it in the right direction
Also check if you built the redstone correctly

This is an amazing design, this would be the 2nd time ive built it but now there is a problem, in 1.20 it seems that the dirt block will be destroyed due to the tnt not.
Ive found a way to fix it which is to just lower the dirt block down 1 block!

That's probably a clock issue if you open and close the trap door to fast then the piston will close and stop the tnt from escaping
Destroy the block below the tnt which stops the water from falling down (make sure the water goes down) and place a sign instead of that block
You need to switch the piston that is holding the observer to a stick piston

Probably you setted a lever false. Make sure for it.
One log won’t break makes farm less efficient but still works
easy to make and works effectively (wood)
there is an issue with farming warped stems
you dont get enough mushrooms back so you just run out and it stops the farm. you could add another dropper with the saplings to fix this but just wanted to pint this out
You dont need mushrooms, you need only a lot of bone meal because when u use one on warped nylium you grow the mushroom 😅
