My mom has Alzheimer’s and has about a three minute memory and this is her all-time favorite audition she lights up every time I show it to her she has probably seen it at a couple hundred times. Thank you for sharing it.
I know I'm a year later, but I feel that. My great-grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's. She didn't know who we were when my family and I went to her birthday party. That's real tough when it's your Mama. ❤️

I love this guy from the second I saw him I got goosebumps I think Nicole put it perfectly when she said he was an angel I've had a lot of loss and his singing always helps with the tougher days I just don't understand why he hasn't got millions of followers 💜

Dear Jahméne, it so great to watch how You are developing . To my great surprise You have grown up from the supermarket worker to the great well known vocalist and You did not loose Yourself. I admire this. Your vocal is... just breathtaking! How many octaves? 3 ? At least! I am jealous - You see I come from the Family of the Mountaineers, where everyone had a voice like a... (find the best world ever - when they started to sing the Church's roof was flying to heaven ). Every year we while going with the entire family for the Christmas Midnight Mass ( some 90+ people) my grandpa took me to the side asking : " Alex, please... do not sing".. Hope You can imagine the trauma... :-)) ( Guess what - I learned to sing but ... do not tell anyone I am doing this ;-)) Still- the lack of voice does not mean the lack of ability to hear and appreciate the ones who are gifted. So I am following You on Your path to the Fame You deserve. There will be hard days, difficult times - and this is life. Higher You want to go, harder it gets. There are many artists, friends - visiting my home to find the peace and possibility of just re-log, and all of them share the same point of view. Please, remember, that we all (since we all share admiration to The Talent (!!) keep You in our hearts and wish You all the best. Specially after watching, how great You deal with the Fame. I saw that audition and was irritated that I could not comment , they had it disabled . I have to say , you absolutely blew my mind with that audition . I am on old white guy from Michigan U.S.A. and cant sing but I love music and I love hearing new singers . You were so nervous and who can blame you , but man when you started singing , it was like hearing magic happen in my ears . I think it was in the top 5 best auditions ever and I have watched several thousand , you are an AMAZING singer
Just discovered your music like 11 years later. Instant fan. You have the ability to transform old songs and not only breathe new life into them but transform them into your very own in spectacular fashion. I also normally don't like medleys but you effortlessly made them as if they were written like that originally that people can't get enough of hearing. I'd def watch a live performance if there ever were a tour. The other guy who won x factor ended up being a singer I heard before on the radio who kinda sounded drunk and slurred, not too impressed or my cup of tea. No matter what, you were that actual winner in my books and for countless others. I'd say you and John Newman are probably like my top favorite vocalists/artists. It would be cool to see you make an original album like his Tribute album which had soul, high energy, and trumpets all rolled into an epic performance shattering collection. Make that and I'd definitely try to make it out on your world tour especially if you ever visit Los Angeles

To this day, April 3, 2018, I still am always amazed by you! I still look for new things by you! I guess my uncle was a great musician in his day and singer. He could hit those notes too! They are on You Tube! Jesse Lee Denson. We are from Memphis, TN. So, we all have our Elvis stories. He went to school with Elvis, and Elvis bought his song, Miracle of the Rosarie, which he recorded. It is sung all over the world. He even sang it it in front of a pope during his time. Anyway, he was a writer for Stax Recording also in Memphis. He just never made it big! We didn't care. We loved him anyway. What you see on YT is only half of his rock and roll from the 50s 60s. He did so many other things besides rock and roll. Peace!

Wow, this brought back memories for me too. I was urged by my teenage daughter to check out X Factor and I was blown away by Jahmene's audition and hooked on the show. Nobody besides Ella and Paul Akister have grabbed me since so I don't watch anymore. But this audition is one for the record books for sure. How many people dropped what they were doing when they heard that voice on tv and stood there with their jaws on the ground through that whole performance?! Dear Jahméne, it so great to watch how You are developing . To my great surprise You have grown up from the supermarket worker to the great well known vocalist and You did not loose Yourself. I admire this. Your vocal is... just breathtaking! How many octaves? 3 ? At least! I am jealous - You see I come from the Family of the Mountaineers, where everyone had a voice like a... (find the best world ever - when they started to sing the Church's roof was flying to heaven ). Every year we while going with the entire family for the Christmas Midnight Mass ( some 90+ people) my grandpa took me to the side asking : " Alex, please... do not sing".. Hope You can imagine the trauma... :-)) ( Guess what - I learned to sing but ... do not tell anyone I am doing this ;-)) Still- the lack of voice does not mean the lack of ability to hear and appreciate the ones who are gifted. So I am following You on Your path to the Fame You deserve. There will be hard days, difficult times - and this is life. Higher You want to go, harder it gets. There are many artists, friends - visiting my home to find the peace and possibility of just re-log, and all of them share the same point of view. Please, remember, that we all (since we all share admiration to The Talent (!!) keep You in our hearts and wish You all the best. Specially after watching, how great You deal with the Fame. I saw that audition and was irritated that I could not comment , they had it disabled . I have to say , you absolutely blew my mind with that audition . I am on old white guy from Michigan U.S.A. and cant sing but I love music and I love hearing new singers . You were so nervous and who can blame you , but man when you started singing , it was like hearing magic happen in my ears . I think it was in the top 5 best auditions ever and I have watched several thousand , you are an AMAZING singer
Just discovered your music like 11 years later. Instant fan. You have the ability to transform old songs and not only breathe new life into them but transform them into your very own in spectacular fashion. I also normally don't like medleys but you effortlessly made them as if they were written like that originally that people can't get enough of hearing. I'd def watch a live performance if there ever were a tour. The other guy who won x factor ended up being a singer I heard before on the radio who kinda sounded drunk and slurred, not too impressed or my cup of tea. No matter what, you were that actual winner in my books and for countless others. I'd say you and John Newman are probably like my top favorite vocalists/artists. It would be cool to see you make an original album like his Tribute album which had soul, high energy, and trumpets all rolled into an epic performance shattering collection. Make that and I'd definitely try to make it out on your world tour especially if you ever visit Los Angeles

Jahmene, I discovered you, 2 years after your audition, because I'm in France and the ''x factor'' doesn't exist here. I was chocked !!! It was so amazing !!!! A real revelation for me. Since I've heard you, I've tried to hear all others versions of ''At Lasr'', on ''x factor'' or ''the Voice'', but nobody, never, never, sang like your perfection. Nobody !! To this day, April 3, 2018, I still am always amazed by you! I still look for new things by you! I guess my uncle was a great musician in his day and singer. He could hit those notes too! They are on You Tube! Jesse Lee Denson. We are from Memphis, TN. So, we all have our Elvis stories. He went to school with Elvis, and Elvis bought his song, Miracle of the Rosarie, which he recorded. It is sung all over the world. He even sang it it in front of a pope during his time. Anyway, he was a writer for Stax Recording also in Memphis. He just never made it big! We didn't care. We loved him anyway. What you see on YT is only half of his rock and roll from the 50s 60s. He did so many other things besides rock and roll. Peace!

I re-watch it quite a bit cuz I just love the way that you sang it and also I just think the humbleness of your heart and your beautiful mother just touch my heart. Wow, this brought back memories for me too. I was urged by my teenage daughter to check out X Factor and I was blown away by Jahmene's audition and hooked on the show. Nobody besides Ella and Paul Akister have grabbed me since so I don't watch anymore. But this audition is one for the record books for sure. How many people dropped what they were doing when they heard that voice on tv and stood there with their jaws on the ground through that whole performance?!
