Have you noticed that Nicole's and your body language when you shared the mic are actually almost exactly the same? That actually makes the entire performance so much more touching and emotional
Even with that mishap, it was still one of my favorite performances. You and Nicole handled the situation very professional and kept going. It's a learning experience. Love your vlogs.

I just wanted to say how special the performance was due to her obvious care for you throughout your entire X-factor and your professionalism with her as well - a very rare experience between the two of you which you both shared with all of us - one could feel the love - and I am sure the entire audience got it too. When I listen to this it makes me realize how difficult it is to perform on stage in front of millions of people. It really takes a lot of preparation and care to put on a beautiful and meaningful performance.

I did not see the season you were on X Factor (life stuff, you know), so I just saw it for the first time today in 2024. My first impression was what a sweet, thoughtful, unselfish partner you were in that performance. Then UA-cam offered this video. I must say, I am impressed with your heart, with your kindness, with your generosity.

Jahmene, I watched the duet you did with Nicole so many time's. Right from the time she walked out on stage I knew something was wrong. Then watching Nicole coming to you faster to the Mic? I knew her's was not working. I didn't think it was a fix. I don't know who would had said that. However, Your so right about Nicole! I love her so much! She's inspirational & the greatest female voice of our time along with YOURS! I love watching the X Factor shows when Nicole is Judging because, she's always honest & she rarely ever say's anything neegative to a performer in live shows. You could see the special bond from the start between you both from the get-go. It was lovely to see. I'm glad you also said not to use the word: "Lucky" because there's nothing in our lives that we have thats called Luck. It's always a Blessing. There's a reason for everything we go through in our life. What ever happens? Makes us stronger and makes us who we are today! God has plans for us all. And Luck has nothing to do with it. We are Blessed just to wake up each day & have a roof over our heads, a bed to sleep in & water to drink & be cleansed by & food on the table everyday. All these are true everyday Blessing's. Jahmene - I’ve only really just discovered you watching X factor videos on UA-cam (I’m from Australia). However, I’ve literally watched your performances more than 100 times. I am totally in awe of your talent and have been touched by your struggles in life and am now cheering you on years later. I sincerely wish you the best in life as you really inspire me. However, for the record, I think your performance with Nicole was a great moment. For me its not tainted by what went wrong, in a strange way it makes it better. It reminds me to think how much pressure it must have been to perform each and every week. You are amazing!

Saw your first audition & was blown away by your " At Last " and also the instant connection between you and Nicole.
Your portrait here of Nicole is beautiful; the emotion between you was almost touchable after " The Greatest Love of All ". And I love your use of the word ' blessed '. The pair of you obviously have a wonderful friendship and that's always a blessing.

The show must go on. I didn't even notice the Mic issue when I saw this for the first time ever tonight (this replay is my 2nd time watching). It looked like she wanted the singing to be more intimate. And you adapted like a pro.

I'm a perfectionist myself and I know how you might feel bad about all the issues that happened. Even tho you feel great about her attitude. But believe me, this presentation was everything. I remember calling my parents to see this vídeo and we all got goosebumps because your connection after the mic issues was perfect. It was really touching.
Jamene, you are the best singer I have heard, and I am 65 years old! I know a good singer when I hear one, trust me! I have listened to all the greats in music, and in my mind, the best singers are the ones that you can honestly say that you could listen to all day long! Along with you, I could listen to Tom Jones, Andy Williams, Shirley Bassy, To name but a few. You are world class! You have not let fame change you, and you were put on this earth to do what you do! When I first heard you sing for the X factor, I thought nobody could beat you. You were beaten by James Arthur but he is not as talented as you, and I thought then, as I still do, that it was a wrong decision. However, you have moved on. Bless you, and continue to do good as I know you will!!!

I'd love to hear you sing purple rain! you know when she spoke to you backstage at bootcamp when you had an anxiety attack, I was going through a bad time at college and I had loads of them... then you came back and SANG your 'behind' off Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow and I thought if you can pick yourself up from bad thoughts then I can and I did and it were so hard, but I did it, that's when you started to inspire me and you still do now. That's so personal to me now but I'm much more confident than I used to be, so thanks for always being you and being so lovely to us even if we get on your nerves sometimes lol x
this finally makes sense. the mic was not outputting in the venue but we could hear it at home. I was so confused by her reaction for the longest time.
Someone definitely tried to sabotage you and NICOLE... but Nicole got the final say, with the lyrics that she sang 🙃 and the performance was still phenomenal.
It is an old trick to blame mic/sound failure when someone tries to sabotage. I'm glad you brought that up @ 7:29 how it always happens with Nicole. Trust your instincts with that.
