I think the stars of x factor are often fantastic by singing others artist songs. The thing is to start to write and sign their new songs. They dont have it and I think they are lost once competition is over. Voice is one thing but who will write the new song and lyrics? They are probably not prepared for it.

Today I June 17 2024, accidentally tumbled this beautiful voice. What a talent! One of the best. Oh I love you Jahmene. You were born for that stage singing inspiring people.
I remember watching this and thinking he is honestly one of the best singers in the world, with these new style pop singers they don't showcase their voices or ranges (because most don't have any) but Jahméne is one of a kind, an amazing soul and the respect he shows is incredible. I know he has done what he loves, but I can't seem to be upset he never became more mainstream. Jahméne man, go full out, I want to hear your angelic voice all over the radio instead of hearing singers from 50+ years ago because nothing new has came along yet.

I agree...but he does have some confidence issues....but his voice control is unmatched. And this from someone who's not particularly fond of his choice of genre. Some of the most notable 'stars' suffer the same issues...but their talent overcomes. It's sad that his didn't. I think we are missing something great.

I also believe Jahmene is so naturally talented. He is one who actually feels everything he sings about and gets lost in it. what a true blessing it is to me when I hear him singing. I'm a 52 year woman and have heard many singers, songs, and only a handful have been able to let me feel the emotions through their singing, he is one of these awesome singers. There's hundreds of performers out there, including the judges, who would pay billions to have his voice. Just imagine this raw talent, this diamond voice, but with olly murs cheeky attitude, or the lead singer from Maroon 5 to name a couple natural born performers who don't have exceptional voices. I hope he gets to do this for a living, I can just close my eyes and hear his voice do its magic!

As a 46 y.o. guy I know many of the songs he performed by the original artists and Jahmene Douglas beats them all. I was quite overwhelmed by his voice and how intensive he performs. It seems, he feels every word, every single note of the song. I am a little confused, that he was not the peoples choice in 2012. Keep on, Jahmene.
I absolutely adore him! From the first time I heard his voice, I fell in love with him. I love his sincerity, his humbleness, and just a good kid who loves the Lord. I was so sad when he didn't win the X Factor, because he is just so unbelievably talented. It was also hard for me to watch him get so down on himself, when he made a mistake or he thought he made a mistake or that he was letting people down. I really feel that he should have won. James Arthur was good, but Jahmene has pure raw talent.

My favourite show of all was the duet with Nicole - it demonstrates the calibre of performer that Jahmene is in how he handled what could have been a devastating technical failure when Nicole's mic didn't work. THE SHOW MUST GO ON and he just carried on as if there were 2 mics. Brilliant work! I chuckled at the look on Jahmene's face when Nicole threw her mic on the floor. It was priceless! Nothing much phases Jahmene, but that is the reality of live television.
He is certainly my number one favorite! I think he was a free spirit and a true artist and I think they needled him to be a flashing star and that just isn't him. He is not that. I fell in love with Jahméne at his audition. I am a 74 yr old canadian woman - who was never into poetry but Jahméne has changed all that. Even after all this time I still cry when I hear him sing. Not winning Xfactor was probably a blessing for him - he can be in control of his own destiny. He has the strength to overcome the pitfalls of fame and the music industry. Because James Arthur was on that year. And Jahmene is beyond amazing, far, far beyond. But James is simply so unique. Just listen to his perfomances. They’re not as perfect as this guy's, but the way he transfers his pain into music is even further beyond amazing.

A star has been born. I just happened to catch a video on youtube and have watched every day since. I was so impressed with the UK X Factor and how it was more concerned with the development of young talent than its US counterpart. Jahmene is a smart guy and will be highly successful. xo

Because James Arthur was on that year. And Jahmene is beyond amazing, far, far beyond. But James is simply so unique. Just listen to his perfomances. They’re not as perfect as this guy's, but the way he transfers his pain into music is even further beyond amazing.

He channels Marvin Gaye everytime he sings. His heart is good, he cares for his fans and people in general and the soulful feeling he exhibits is, well... jah-mazing! Louis hit it exactly right... A star has been born. I just happened to catch a video on youtube and have watched every day since. I was so impressed with the UK X Factor and how it was more concerned with the development of young talent than its US counterpart. Jahmene is a smart guy and will be highly successful. xo
