So I've been casually playing chess since I was six or so. Tried a little harder in High School and even formed a small chess club, where the person I taught chess to won a local tournament. In university I dripped off because my city chess club was just far too strong for me and I wasn't practicing all that hard. Fast forward to the Ludwig Chessboxing event, I was watching Chris Broad's fight and felt a little fire to to back into chess. Saw you on Chessboxing live and was like, in my head, "I'm sure I've seen this guy before", and lo and behold I had casually run into your vids a while ago...but been watching you a lot more often now that I'm studying chess a little more seriously.
My 14 year old brother actually got me back into chess, I used to be in chess club when I was in middle school, and now he's doing the same. I've started playing again with him, we have fun and we compete and it's made me fall in love with chess again. He's 5 years younger than me, but he's so much better than I've ever been (I'll never admit it tho😁). I've never been that good at chess, but I'm hoping if I start watching more chess content I'll give him the challenge he deserves. Thank you for the videos Levy❤️
