Well, I didn't expect to see my game when mindlessly trying to watch some GothamChess content! Massive respect to my opponent, it was a well-deserved win.
Yeah, for sure! I passed you a friend request. Maybe in the future Gotham will upload our rematch with 6 brilliant moves (hopefully mine that time around)
I showed this game to my best friend and I was like super happy explaining all the moves and I think he didn't catch a thing but the fact this was so wholesome for me made him happy
“Of course you push forward and pressure the knight” Levy: “if you said attack the knight then you don’t understand anything about attacking chess” “Yeah that’s fair”
I really like Levy using the expression "participating in the game" when talking about pieces, it helps me to think in such a way in my games as well, I like that expression a lot more than "piece activity". When deciding about whether to make this or that pawn break, whether to open or close the position, whether to launch an attack or not, how I will be able to defend, with which pawn to recapture and when maneuvring the pieces I like to think about which pieces will participate in the game as a result of my move, or I come up with plans that would lead to more of my pieces participating in the game while trying to make the least amount of my opponent's pieces participating in the game. The expression "participating in the game" also makes you question whether a piece which looks good is actually doing anything or is it just hanging in the void.
Levy, thank you so much for uploading my game, I still can't believe this is happening. You are my biggest inspiration everyday when I play chess and now this... I'm speechless. I love you, man.

Not that any of my games have had attacks as savage as this, but launching a full-scale attack in chess has to be the most fun part of the game. Finding tricky moves and finding a way to trap the king in its own coffin.
That was a very well played game. Almost reminds me of Tal games, sacrificing pieces and leaving material hanging that the opponent cannot take because it walks into blunders or forced mates.
I’m around 600 rated, and I feel like I’m in the most fun stage of chess learning. I learn so much every game. At the same time I can’t wait to get to around 1000
18:28 "To get five brilliant moves your opponent needs to do some really disastrous stuff"... actually, I think the opponent needs to play fairly well, otherwise the first brilliant move will lead to mate or at least totally winning position, and the next four will never happen. Heck, when I do 'disastrous stuff' there's no brilliant move needed to mate me, just take the queen I just hung and go from there :)
Part of me feels this should be a series in and out of itself. Seeing that many brilliant moves in one game is crazy! It would be a rarity though as the chances of playing that many brilliant moves in one game is very unlikely especially at lower level. Though higher level has a better chance but still very rare.
