Returned from OBX a couple weeks ago with 25 two plus pound blues. I smoked them and I must say everyone who has tried them, loved them. I also never go wrong with a fresh fried blue fish. Bled and iced immediately really makes the difference. Those fish really get a bad rap. Great video, tight lines!
Excellent video. I followed your advice ( from years ago) on storing fish in the refrigerator to cook the next day and they were delicious. Even the bluefish stayed fresh.
Id be wanting to punch through the surf so bad. Looked really nice out. Good to see you mixing it up doin some land-based content. You landed some nice ones!
you cant beat a day like that at the beach. I will be down your way (a little north of you) in mid april. never fished there in the spring. I hope it's like the fall. thanks. great vid as always.
Cant wait to get some of them tough tuggers . Love all your soft plastics, ive done very well on stripers, fluke , weakfish and now with them ill try for blues too. Great job in the design and stoked you offer jigheads now too. All realy good prices also. Thanks elias
Ribbonfish are such neat critters, and I've heard many times they're actually good eating. They do make me think pelagic and not inshore, so it is surprising when I see them caught from the beach.
I had a recipe for smoked Salmon that I used on a large rainbow trout. I couldn't tell the difference after it was done. I wonder how it would be using bluefish fillets instead. You soak the fillet in dark rum for a couple hours. Then, you bury the fillet in brown sugar for a few hours. Then you take it out, rinse it off, and smoke it until done. The rum adds flavor, and the sugar dries out the meat and adds flavor. You don't leave it in the smoker for long, just until the internal temp reaches 140 degrees. The recipe is in Steve Raichlin's book on barbecue.
Ribbon fish, which we call Hairtail. Best to clean the outside of the fish with some wet sand or plastic scowring pad. then cut into 3 inch piece fry lightly in butter. Best fish in the world, yum!
Hey dude, thanks for keeping us entertained with some good fishing action! Don't feel bad about the self-plug for a product that you worked hard and invested yourself (and your money) in to bring to the market. If I had your job, I'd be doing whatever I had to in order to keep it as well. I just put in an order for some tough tuggers and some Mackinaw shads. Im sure they will produce good fish here in Beaufort, SC. Thank you. Tight lines Elias!
Pretty cool to be able to drive on the beach I thought only Florida had that time for me to go exploring the Carolinas. Keep up the good fishing, buddy or should I say southern boy with a northern accent😂
A Colorado study of gut hooked trout showed the cutting the line rather than trying to remove the hook increased the survival of the fish. Not a lot but some.
So do I need more baits?? Hell no!! Bought it all anyway after that hard pitch ha!!! Hope my lame $35 purchased supports you my man! Wonder if I’ll ever use them ha!! Hopefully. Yo I got a couple of those reels for the yak and they’re doing well 👍🏼. Appreciate all your hard work dude 🤓
These are part of the kingfish family. Northern, southern, and gulf kingfish are the subspecies. They do get a lot of nicknames. All taste good, and all eat shrimp readily.
I just moved down to whiteville nc this month from Md and trying to figure out where i can surf fish. Where would you recommend me to start surf fishing , do you have any ideas? Larry
Promote your product buddy, no shame in the game. The hardest part of selling your own creation is a captive audience, and your awesome video sure are captivating!
I've had a KastKing Kapstan Elite 3000 for 2 years and really like it. I have it on a very light 7'6 rod and set it up as my go to wade fishing the surf rod, because it's IPX6 waterproof. I've never dunked it but it has gotten splashed many times and cleans up nice. no problems so far. CaptJack Surfside/Houston. note- we have a great jetty at Surfside. many video producers from our jetty
I missed this type of video. Shore fishing is always fun.
Really like the format like this. Audio is superb 👌
"Couple bluefish, one red... thank you... cute dog" all beach anglers have had this conversation so many times haha.
And the conversation about NC flounder regulations. Truly the one issue that united the entire state.
one fish two red fish blue fish, Nick knack patty whack give a dog a bone, 2000 zero party oop outta time..... my bacon smellin' fine
ALGORITHM FISHING FOR THE WIN

Always enjoyed a good day in the surf! Enjoy the Whiting!
This is immensely soothing to listen to while I work.
Always enjoy your beach fishing videos Elias

Always love the shore based videos a little more than I usually do. Thanks for this video as always!
Your surf videos are the best. Maybe it’s because it’s my favorite form of fishing
You nailed that Tough Tugger. Been hammering striped bass in the surf with it the past two weeks. Great profile when peanuts are around.
Wow thank you!!!
Just started, but I love the surffishing content!
Id be wanting to punch through the surf so bad. Looked really nice out. Good to see you mixing it up doin some land-based content. You landed some nice ones!
Love the surf fishing mixed bag videos, personally I’d rather eat bluefish of that size than anything else from the surf they are delicious!

You made me want some nice crispy fried Whiting fillets! Great video, love the sarcasm about commenters.
I enjoyed seeing beach fishing for a change.
Awesome fishing man. I miss fishing off the beach. It’s been 2 years since I’ve gone fishing off the beach back in NY. 6:08 the teeth on that thing. 😱

Thank you - they should really help when the blues are thick!
@EliasVFishing just ordered some. Thanks again.

I just finished surf fishing Surf City and had a great time. Tight lines!
Ribbonfish ... Who knew? Over-slot Reds keep you on your toes ... and only one Stingray! No telling how long the warm weather will last. Enjoy it!

Whiting are YUMMY!
Thanks for the fishing show
A Colorado study of gut hooked trout showed the cutting the line rather than trying to remove the hook increased the survival of the fish. Not a lot but some.
Very enjoyable video!
We call them {ribbon fish) Hairtail here. Mainly caught in deep holes in estuary waters in the winter.
14:29 They are good if fresh!
iyi avlar
Hell yeah brother !!!
Great job, thank you for sharing
Thanks 🙏
Love me some ribbonfish. Wrap those filets in lemon leaves.
Hi Elias 👋
Nice. Any videos of the gear you’re using? Looks like bunny stick
Great vid! What is your favorite spinning reel?
Up to about 25" Bluefish are delicious. Fixed the last ones I caught with a lite lime aoili. umm good

I liked your video. Where were you fishing?
My style of fishing yeah 💯💪
Let me know how the new penn handles plugging. Looks very nice and smooth and strong.💯💪
Three pounds and below bluefish make for good dining IMO!
Hey Elias , are you in North Carolina or South? Thanks for the awesome videos
NC
Sammy Hitzke had an interesting pickled bluefish recipe on his video last Sunday. It would be interesting to see your opinion on it.
Tried it once - I like turning it into jerky the best.
On the boat in about 4-5 feet the other day and I couldnt cast and sit down before a blue hit chunked mullet.. fun but I don’t eat them
Do you do much shark fishing down there?
Not much - they usually find me though.
No shame in KastKing 😂 good enough for me
Nice day, would of been great day grouper fishing!
Pimp your products, have bags of them!
Just got back from ocracoke, looks like you out on islands!
Nice!
The mullet, are these the same as catch in Florida. They're much bigger down there.
These are part of the kingfish family. Northern, southern, and gulf kingfish are the subspecies. They do get a lot of nicknames. All taste good, and all eat shrimp readily.
Do you ever get tangled with how low those pelicans fly over the water?
It's only happened once! Rather avoid at all costs.
Skree Mullets!!!
Elias you alsays have bigger Whiting than we do.
Were are you fishing.on these video if you mind I'm ask in
what length are your surf rods and what size reels, thanks, Bumper
9'6"
What type of line do you use
I just moved down to whiteville nc this month from Md and trying to figure out where i can surf fish. Where would you recommend me to start surf fishing , do you have any ideas? Larry
Probably Brunswick beaches your best access point. Lots of good access there.
So what rod and reel you’ll suggest to get started on fishing
Penn makes some good saltwater entry reels and then work your way up.
@ thank you

Hay, a man's gotta make a living. 😊
Love the Bummy stick
This isn’t chunking, this is called fly-lining.
No apologies brother. Make your money and if people don't like they can suck it lol
“They gotta be under 27”.. tell me she asked how you knew how old they are
Hahaha
