- Big day which went rather well thanks to he help from a good friend. lack of rain and above all plenty of humour. The 200tdi deisel engine having been rebuilt was installed in place of the original series 2.25 deisel. 'Its a straight drop in' is a lie ! and anyone doing the same, could save some time by preppeing the mounts inadvance.

Great progress Mat, a big leap forward. I have the same engine crane. Not easy to manoeuvre on the ground outside so I think you and your friend and Son did a cracking job. Its coming together now. Look forward to further updates.

Engine is looking great.. I remember the troubles I had fitting a 200Tdi to my 109.. Keep going and it'll be on the road in no time..
btw: if you ever need an extra pair of hands please let me know, i'm not a million miles away..
thats a danagerous position to put yourself in - being 'near & potentially available. Extra hands always welcome - I even have spare mugs of tea and slives of cake ! So if you are in the area / passing - be nice to meet some new faces. Mat

I seem to recall that engine having some issues did you rebuild it or find another?
Rebuilt, regrind on the crank, honed the bores, new rings shells etc.
