- So a little car vlog today about installing my Yonaka Catback exhaust that I just bought for my 1999 Acura #Integra LS Coupe. Will this exhaust sound good? Will it sound bad? Little of both actually. Check it out!
The #Yonaka exhaust is supposed to be the best sounding exhaust out there for the Hondas and Acuras. They're both known for a horrible raspy ricey noise and honestly this exhaust cut that completely out while my last exhaust the SR*S catback was horribly raspy and sounded like a ton of bees flying down the road. Hopefully this yonaka #catback exhaust settles down after time - the sound from directly behind the car is pretty bad.
Have one on my teggy and love it! It’s a very deep and mature tone rather than a ricey-raspy sound. Have no regrets at all
Perfect description of the sound. I love it so far. It definitely took a little to settle in though.
@@TunerThings Yeah I agree. Took mine maybe a week or two if I can remember for it to sound really sound nice AND for that new exhaust smell to go away.

I'm glad you like the Yonaka catback on your LS. My experience with the Yonaka catback is much different than yours. I installed one on my 94 GSR. Yonaka had warned me it didn't my car and it required a 4 inch extension. I had a fabricator make it fit. The fitment on mine turned out better than yours from what I can see. Problem with mine is that it drones constantly. So much so that I can't bear driving the car for extended periods of time. I am looking to replace it. I strongly recommend to GSR owners to avoid this exhaust like the plague. It is only intended for LS and GS trim in the 2 door model.

Sounds great to me! If your jack stands are from harbor freight, be careful. If you didn't know, they had a recall due to failures.
Only two from HF and they're POST recall lol the other two are Husky brand I think. Still don't trust the HF ones so I kept the jack under the rear
@@TunerThings Yeah man, best thing to do. Always double safety, towers and car stand. A neighbor placed car on a jack, it failed almost when he was goig to get under the car.

Not sure if you found the problem to that weird idle, but one of your spark plug wirings must not be aligned with the correct firing order on your distributor (the wires might not be in the right spot, or you may need new ones)
how is this doing in 2024?
So, I've gotten one of those exhausts before and had an actual piece of metal in the muffler. It sounds like that unfortunately. Maybe you can find it like I did and be able to get it out.

@@TunerThings it was literally sitting in the bottom of the muffler. It was the worst at idle or high rpms

Just bought one for my "autotragic" rsx as my cousins call it. Love the Free shirt, hat, decals, and lanyard. But from all the youtube vids i've listened to this sounds the best (i get it's a dif engine) but just hope it sounds better than the vids i've seen online. Kinda regret not buying the hks hi power but i dont like my car loud as its pretty much stock. Seems silly. But i got the yonaka since its more subtle and i wanna hear something rather than nothing. Probably gonna do a vid once mine is installed. Thanks for this vid as well. Helps to get an idea.
How is the sound from the Yonaka? I'm debating whether to get this or an axel back Megan Racing OE-RS.
Get a 6 speed in it! I promise it’ll be better than a base manual

Love it 110%. The sound is fantastic, it's deep and not ricey at all

Yep I sure am. I love the sound of the Yonaka it just needs that turbo to go along with it hahaha
Get a 3 inch straight through.. if you run a chambered exhaust with a boost setup thats like dipping fat free cheesesticks in fat and deep frying them. Makes no sense.

I have the yonaka for my rsx! It's definitely very droney on the highway, but maybe that's just how it's supposed to be :) or i've got an exhaust leak...

@@trystentowson9400 Drone noise from the exhaust at certain RPM, it sound like a monotone, echoe-y humming noise.
