I've got the 1320 header, hiflow cat, and catback exhaust. It's raspy as heck. Lot more than just the Yonaka exhaust. But I will say, they look identical minus the 1320 logo...

Sounds good bro. I run the 1320 toda style header/high flow cat/exhaust, honestly yours sounds similar to my setup. I've posted sound clips, right now I'm running a generic CAI in conjunction with the header/cat/exhaust, I love the sound. 1320 wasn't terrible price wise and their shipping was ridiculously fast.

Sweet. I have had more than 10 diffraction combinations of exhaust on b20. Only ones that sounded ok were after my best bro built me custom glass pack resonater. Good work.

What are your thoughts on the header and catback of any brand having an effect on MPG? I daily drive my 99’ CR-V and am not interested in more power, but would really like to break the 30MPG threshold. I average 26-28 now (bone stock with a tune up).
I’d like to think some well engineered, efficiency increasing mods like a header, catback and possibly an intake may be enough to bump the fuel economy up by 5-10%?
    Great channel!

In my opinion with the years that I've done many different mods on many different cars as long as you have a great running motor it's tuned up everything is good you don't have any problems with it to start or if you do you take care of them. Those mods will be helpful in gas mileage as long as you keep your foot out of it and will help out for like cruise control on that Highway kind of mileage but if you start putting your foot into it of course you're going to have an increase in power which will be nice but you're gas mileage is going to go down.

That makes sense to me, I do drive conservatively to save fuel. But it’s also nice to have the extra power to pass when needed.
I’ve done similar mods to my other vehicles, specifically headers, catback exhaust and a lower restriction intake on my 4.0l Tacoma and it boosted my economy by about 3MPG with no other changes. But it also had a very inefficient “log style” exhaust manifold that was terrible for flow, as in 90 degree welded joints for each exhaust port.
The Honda’s seem more refined in my experience with better flowing intake and exhaust manifolds right off the bat so I’m not sure the gains would be as substantial.
      Thanks for your input! 👍👍

Hey Tom, I have the rear nerf bars and how can I adjust where the muffler sits as it’s touching the nerf bar. Just installed the yonaka as well

You would need adjustable hangers they also make some nice polyurethane with multiple holes to help hang the exhaust for better adjustable fitment.

Sounds good, thank you for review, Tom!
Could you advise, please if manufacturer says that exhaust is for B20B 94 kw, can it be applicable to B20Z1 108 kw? Thank you!

As far as picking a catback exhaust for your vehicle you want to make sure you're going with one that is built for the year or generation of your vehicle when it comes to a header or headers depending on if you have a swap you're going to either have to look for its custom or one that is made to fit with the swap.

I don't have a link to it at the moment, but if you search 1320 Performance Toda style header, you should find a few things for one.

      Shift solenoid.

    • @crv_tom
      @crv_tom  5 місяців тому +1

It definitely can be the shift solenoid I would start there also for sure do it fresh flush through your tranny completely that could help but depending on how bad the tranny possibly is it could make things worse! So I would start with cleaning the solenoid really good see if that does help if it does then do the tranny flush if not then I would do a flush and buy a whole new solenoid and give it a chance cuz it's still cheaper than a new transmission unless you can find a really good deal on one.
