I currently have one of these systems on my 93 EG Civic. I've had it for 5 years now (close to 60K miles) and the only problem I've had is having the resonator welds repaired front and rear. Other than that this is a great sounding system in the fitment is absolutely impeccable. For a daily driven Street card and what little you pay for this plumbing price is hard to beat.
+ej8 chik ok nice! For your civic coupe when you buy your Yonaka exhaust you will also have to buy a hi-flow cat-delete, or you can use your stock catalytic converter but you won't have the same sound and performance, catalytic converters are very restrictive, so when you buy your parts be careful make sure you whet the right stuff! If you have questions I can help you out! Good luck!
Ricardo Victoria Right now I have ebay headers and catback exhaust on my car. It just sounds like a huge fart can right now lol. My hubby is a total gearhead so he is teaching me as we build my car :)
If you want to install a cat converter all you need is the 92-00 civic 2/4door resonator or middle pipe. Its shorter and has the triangle 3 bolt for the cat converter.
Ricky Gomez thank you! Those wheels are XXR 531 they look awesome but they to wide so I sold them because they rub on my fenders, you can find different sizes so they can look nice on your car.
DANNY TAGGART No test pipe! This Exhaust goes from header to exhaust you can see it in the video, I don't like test pipes, the less bolts and nuts you put under the car the best because they get rust, if you buy one for o hatchback be careful some are short and need test pipe.
Hello and I am sorry for waiting so long to answer, it sticks about 1.9 inches. No more than 2!!! Looks pretty cool,no to long no to short. Perfect look to me bro!
I was wondering if this exhaust will fit my 99 Civic DX hatch with no extra fabrication? Mine has a Type R rear bumper like yours and im wondering if I'll need to adjust it? Im not sure. Also, my engine is a D16Y7, so the cat is right after the header so im unsure if the yonaka exhaust will fit that as well or if i need a new header
John my friend I have good news for you! Yes it will work and fit, let me tell you why, I had a 1998 Honda Civic hatchback D16Y7 engine on,stock header on, my car had the catalytic converter right on the header in front of the engine!!! Not at the bottom like yours or this purple hatch like you see on the video, now the dimensions are really really close at the end of the header in the bottom, what I am saying is that this yonaka exhaust it’s long enough to reach the end of your header whit no problems you won’t need a catalytic converter like mine. now as today my car has a dc sports header on (used) of a integra form Craigslist,2000 civic si engine and 97 yonaka exhaust hatchback 3 diferente car parts and fits so now you have and idea about yours! Any other questions let me know thanks!
Ricardo Victoria hehe sorry for the 3 month late reply, I've still been thinking about this exhaust ever since i bought my hatch. I haven't gotten around to actually buying it because I'm still trying to save money but it looks like i will be able to buy it soon. I forgot to ask, since you have a type R rear lip, the yonaka exhaust doesn't need to be adjusted for the lip? I don't want the exhaust to be bent downwards or forcefully rubbing up on the bumper. I have the USDM EK hatch with a rear type R lip
831CaliSavage you don't need one! This cat back for the hatchback only! It's long enough so it goes from the header to the cat back, you don't need a catalytic converter or a cat delete
Ricardo Victoria juat one more question having an exhaust with no flex pipe supposedly is bad because it can crack your headers. Did you have this problem after having exhaust for a while. And thanks for replying and make more videos of car please lol
Jonathan Inoa few years ago I had a same model hatch and d series engine dc sports header short intake and the same yonaka exhaust never had any type of problems I had it for couple years, now I have this purple hatch whit b series engine penis whale intake dc sports header (not in the video) and the exhaust for almost a year and I don’t have any problems
lol who opens the box vertically?...and then he slams the exhaust tip on the ground

Sounds awesome!! Looking forward to getting mine from Yanaka very soon. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I am happy that you like it! What car you have? Sedan, coupe,Hatchback? Honda?
+Ricardo Victoria 99 Honda Civic Ex coupe

love mine on my em2, running headers and a magnaflow high flow cat

Thanks for the video. I wanted to see how it mounted.
Thanks man!!!

raidacaipo thanks man! I need that to pass inspección lol!
@@rickytyper8450 hey i have 92 civic hatch what kind test pipe u used?
Sound sweet
Thanks bro!
Jonaka???
Inspired Media Yes Yonaka!
Inspired Media bahaha I chuckled and said the same out loud to myself lol
😂💀
wow nice car. I have a 99 civic, but i'm just waiting for 3 more years to have a license haha
Adrian CA thank you!
Awesome sound
Nice!! Noticed your wheels they are nice also what are they and what size? Tires too?
Ricky Gomez thank you! Those wheels are XXR 531 they look awesome but they to wide so I sold them because they rub on my fenders, you can find different sizes so they can look nice on your car.
are you using a testpipe or the exhaust was meant for a header to exhaust fit..i know most are catback but this one goes right to the header
DANNY TAGGART No test pipe! This Exhaust goes from header to exhaust you can see it in the video, I don't like test pipes, the less bolts and nuts you put under the car the best because they get rust, if you buy one for o hatchback be careful some are short and need test pipe.
i emailed yonaka they don't got a exhaust to header for my integra only catback..i don't like test pipes either
TAGZ man that sucks! I hate cat delete to many bolts and gaskets, specially if you live in a winter snow salt area it’s not good!
One of my concerns is how far out the rear of the car the exhaust sticks out, can you tell me how many inches it sticks out past the bumper
Hello and I am sorry for waiting so long to answer, it sticks about 1.9 inches. No more than 2!!! Looks pretty cool,no to long no to short. Perfect look to me bro!
Do you have to put gaskets in between the pipes or is ok to bolt on like that
Yes it comes whit gaskets already and yes I put gaskets in between bolts, other ways you will have leaks
I wish I can find some dyno number for their exhaust. Sigh.
tbbsrr yea that be cool man!
Nice car. I have this exhaust just waiting on a new cat
Abe Penner thank you Abe! If you add aftermarket header sound better! I put a DC sports header and the sound and performance is better
Sheeesh
I ordered it
brian araluce nice man!

Lol do they know
Does yours rattle in the back when you rev it and the rpms start getting low due to the muffler being so close to the back bumper?
Nick Uvalle No man, I don’t have that problem
I have a 97 civic sedan, what cat would I need?
let me know if u find ?
Hahaha that's definitely not how they package their exhaust. He opened and re-taped it closed haha
There was no need to do that, but I am happy to make you laugh!
do you need a cat?
You don't have a catalyic?
831CaliSavage you don't need one! This cat back for the hatchback only! It's long enough so it goes from the header to the cat back, you don't need a catalytic converter or a cat delete
831CaliSavage you can see it in the video when I have the camera under the car,you can see it
Ricardo Victoria catback means from the catalytic converter back. this exhaust goes from the header back
831CaliSavage Thanks man!!! I don't know that! Now I know!! Thank you!
Sergio Delgado cause his car should have the cat built into the header stock but he has a b16 swap so the header doesn't have one anymore
I thought u were about to go inside the box man. Dont do it Nooo
Eddie Syfy hahaha!
Peep the check engine light
Alex Lopez yep.!
So the exhaust connects directly to the headers?
Which means u cant put a flexible
Yes the exhaust is long enough to reach the header so you don’t need a catalytic converter,or cat-delete
Jonathan Inoa you can see in the minute 3.33 the header connected directly to the exhaust
Ricardo Victoria juat one more question having an exhaust with no flex pipe supposedly is bad because it can crack your headers. Did you have this problem after having exhaust for a while. And thanks for replying and make more videos of car please lol

Jonathan Inoa also that’s why you use the oem exhaust manifold springs that you already have,I recommend you to use new ones
What header did you use?
Yo when I first installed the exhaust I had the stock b16a2 header, now I have a dc header
Is this a d16y7?
Flix it’s a B16A2
