Cheers bud thanks for the sub too, appreciate it. Yeah I’ve been very lax on the uploads recently… but I have a video to upload, probs tomorrow. Just need to make a thumbnail 🫡😎
Thank you dude I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment 😃 Yeah that under tray is a real pain… shame mine was off as I could have shown how to take it off. But it’s easy enough. I hope it was helpful. 🙌🏼🤪
@@yardspeed13 It will be very helpful when I'm doing this in a few weeks 😁The undertray is probably not hard to do (as you say) but it looks a bit fiddly as I haven't done it before ;)
Cheers Daz means a lot mate… sometimes it’s hard work to pick up the camera rather than just do the job. I’ve made a few videos and just deleted them as I’m not happy with the content. Ah well… If 1 person enjoys them that’s good enough for me
@@yardspeed13 Arrh mate just bang that content out to us, its smashing stuff, you always produce great content, done in a really chilled out way buddy, its awesome footage and helps us out. Appreciated👌👌👍👍✌
Ah mate, glad it helped. You know what… I really can’t remember it’s been so long since I did it. Not very helpful eh?! I might mention it in the video but the coolant capacity is 4.4 litres so I probably used the same about of de-ionised water. 🫡👌🏼 Therefore I wouldn’t have used all the 5 litres in one go.
I can’t be 100% sure but the process is nearly the same for all cars in my experience. Just check the coolant amount required in your vehicle handbook and the type. If you’re not sure it’s worth reaching out to Coxmotor parts they’ll know the right type and amount of coolant required. Hope that helps 👍🏼
@@yardspeed13 I just did mine today! Wanted to ask how much coolant did you put in? I've read it needs around 6 litres. I added around 4.5l so I'm worried it might not be enough?
@@howardjenkins4760 Hi buddy, you should be fine. If you flip to page 500 in the manual you’ll see a coolant capacity table. 6.6L is for the the Diesel. The * next to 4.4L is *8 which is the correct number for a Type R. Hope that helps 😃 I put in 4.5 Litres 😉
@@howardjenkins4760 You’re welcome bud, ah sorry, thought it was an R. Doesn’t matter though, at least now you know it’s all good 👍🏼 that’s all that matters. 😃 I find it kinda weird that the Type R takes less coolant, I’d have guessed more… well I learned something too huh?
Great video mate 👍 Well done on the 400+ subs 👌 Do you need to do the other expansion tank thing or does running the flush though the system collect that extra coolant? I think I used a syringe and pipe to empty it. I should probably have used flush 😆
Thanks bud… good question about that tank… I didn’t mention it in the video but when i drained the system I noticed that tank still had a bit of coolant in it. I think what you did is actually the best way to get all the old coolant out. I did look to see if there was any easy way to get it out but since it’s just the expansion tank I thought there was no harm to leave it. Honestly though the system was pretty clean
Finally found a nice simple video showing all the steps, I’m about to do this on my ep3 type R.. thanks 😊
Ah no worries mate, glad it helped. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Appreciate it 🙌🏼
Great video. I did have to remove the plastic underneath covering to get to the tap on mine 👍🏼
Ah cool ok, I wasn’t sure as mine was removed already.
It doesn’t take too long to remove it I guess.

Nearly 1k!

Would this be roughly the same for an FK8 because there are no detailed videos for this on the FK8?

Hi there, thanks for the vid good stuff! I wanted to ask did you have to remove the bottom cover of the car to access to the drain?
Thanks mate, I already had mine removed, but I believe that you don’t have to remove the under tray to reach the drain tap. 👍🏼 hope that helps
