Don't use g48 coolant in a Honda. It contains silicates which will damage your water pump. Honda requires a PH-OAT coolant which has Phosphate based inhibitors. Honda refer to this as type 2 coolant or use Prestone coolant which works in any cooling system. Drain it out, do a couple of flushes with clean water then refill with the right stuff.

@abbas1872 for my mk8 civic 1.4 2007 is ethylene glycol oat coolant ok, like triple qx red coolant ready mixed "Triple QX Red Antifreeze is an extended life, ethylene glycol antifreeze/coolant providing effective heat transfer and all climates, year round performance. It contains Organic
Acid Inhibitor technology and is free from nitrates, amines, phosphates, borates and silicates.
This will provide outstanding protection against frost, corrosion and overheating in all
      modern engines."

@abbas1872 apparently type 2 doesnt have phosphate based inhibitors like you stated "Honda Genuine Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2 is a pre-mixed ethylene glycol-based coolant with a phosphate-free formula "

It looks like you needed to remove the under tray anyway but you don't have to, there is a small hole under the drain plug so as long as you don't open it fully the fluid will drain into your pan below

I did an oil change yesterday and noticed a few bolts a little to the right of the sump plug. Looks like there was a leakage. The metal under tray has oil stains on it however, the sump plug was fine, no leakage from there. Anyone can help me as to what the leakage is? Thanks

Sorry to sound like an idiot but I've just picked up a 2011 2.2 cdti and im doing general maintenance as well, part of it was to replace the coolant but from initial looks it appears i only have a tank on top where the cap is, are you or is anyone else aware if they have an expansion tank that isnt visible somewhere buried below?

If you open the Bonet and come to the side where your radiator cap and shine a torch you’ll be able to see the long vertical reservoir. It’s hard to see (you might need to take the top plastic cap off the front of the engine bay) but you should be able to see both fill lines. Just checked mine today and it’s bone dry. Went to Halfords and they sold me the same red coolant🙂

Blue coolant is meant for older cars pre ”90s, this is totally wrong for R18A2.
