I picked up my yesterday and thought I would test it out, I really didn't want to set my hopes high. I setup my tent in the garden and bedded down for the night, I was surprised just how comfortable it was and how even laying on my side my hip still doesn't touch the ground, I weight 80kg and am 179cm tall. I suffer from chronic pain but I want to get out and explore still so having gear that will allow me to sleep comfortably and allow me to recover is amazing, I am looking forward to using this pad around the world in the years to come.

Love the Nemo Tensor. My very first sleeping pad I bought when I started backpacking 3 years ago... still using it today! Never punctured and always been amazing. The addition of this new nozzle is a fantastic idea - deflating is much quicker. This pad truly is as quiet as this video suggests, and I toss and turn all night. Never felt the ground underneath, even when side sleeping. Keep up the excellent work Nemo!!

I have the old version and its easily the comfiest pad I've used in its weight class. I'm using a Therm-a-rest pump sack to inflate without letting moisture in, but the fit is far from ideal. The new valve plus pump sack fixes the slight annoyance i had with the Tensor - seems to me the already best pad out there now have gotten pretty much perfect. I'm getting one!

Please consider providing an R-value in addition to your temperature ratings. Not providing an R-value in addition to your temp rating suggests Nemo is not being transparent with the pad's actual insulating power.

We don't market R-values for our sleeping pads here at NEMO and I'd be happy to explain why. There are many different ways to test for R-value and all will provide very different results. Many companies in the industry test their sleeping pads using the method that will provide the best results, and we aren't OK with this. There is not currently a standardized test method in the industry. We took 4 leading pads in the industry and tested them at an independent 3rd party lab, using ASTM D1518, which is probably the most common method of measuring R-value in sleeping pads. The differences in marketed R-value ranged from 12-50% higher than lab tested R-values. This is an enormous difference when customers make buying decisions based on as little as 0.1 difference in R-value. NEMO strives to give the customer as much information as possible, with clarity, when making a purchasing decision. We are currently leading a committee within the Outdoor Industry to adopt a single standard for sleeping pad insulation ratings so that pads can be accurately compared based on this information.
NEMO does complete lab testing, including R-value testing on all of our pads. Instead of publishing an R-value rating, we decided to publish a minimum comfort rating. This rating is based on a combination of lab testing, including R-value testing, and extensive user feedback from our employees, test team, and ambassadors. This information is used to come up with the lowest temperature range where the majority of people will sleep comfortably on the pad. We think that although unconventional, this temperature rating makes a lot more sense to pair with a sleeping bag that also uses a temperature rating to gauge its warmth.

@@NEMOEquipmentInc Hi, Is there any correlation between R value and Temp Rating? This sleeping pad has a Temp Rating 35 to 45F / 2 to 7C. How can I compare this numbers with R values provided by other brands?
It would be nice if they would upgrade last years tensor to the new valve at a minimal cost

hey NEMO, im loving the look of this pad, ive had my mind set on the thermarest for my upcoming hike of the West Highland Way, i understand this is an american branded pad, im dying to see it first hand! Do you have any UK more specifically Scotland based retailers, i would like to see and test the entire Tensor range, ive always based my pack around cutting weight although keeping it on a budget but id consider spending a little extra if i feel the comfort including noise and temp rating is better than the previously mentioned pad!
