@3:42 good to see it includes a compression strap. what function does the stuff sack have other than additional protection? i feel if i pack it *inside* my bag, id leave the stuff sack behind...
Great video! I was wondering now that you have had this sleeping pad for over 6 months now, how do you feel about the durability? Any puncture or issue so far?
Very durable. I've used it multiple times with no punctures or issues. It does come with a repair patch but I've never needed to use it. I'm pretty hard on my gear too if that's an indication.
how bout now after 3 yrs? it's good to know u are hard on yr gear - other reviews sure make it sound way too easy to puncture so it makes me wonder what they are doing?!
Yes this is the insulated version. Also, the wider 25" mat. I move around a lot at night. This mat is still going strong. Used it over the winter this past winter, down into the teens and high 20's with a 20 degree bag + 15F bag liner. Slept warm and cozy. It holds up well to abuse seeing as I'm hard on my gear.
@@joshgross8741 this mat is not noisy at all, but I'll keep the rolling around business in mind next time I do a mat review. It sounds a little krinkly when you first unroll it due to the insulating layer but once it's blown up there is no annoying noise. Just the usual swooshing sound of sliding around on top of a nylon surface that you would expect.
I'm getting a double layer hammock soon and was thinking about trying this mat out there. It is 25" wide so it might be a bit on the wide side for a hammock. I'll let you know how it goes!
@@LoneCrowAdventures 25" should be great for a hammock. Mine is 30" wide and does quite well in my hammock. The only problem that I find is that condensation builds under the pad, but mine has the "egg crate" style texture on one side so I put that side down. This allows the condensation to dissipate. I'm told that this is not an issue when the pad is between the layers of a double hammock.
@@inthewoodswithbigfoot3941 Oh good, I'm glad to hear it might be a successful pairing. I was kind of wondering what pad to use and was thinking of this one.
I would like to see more canoe fishing camping
Sure thing!!!!!
concise review. good little tent.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the review. I like a wide pad, too--I tend to roll off a regular 20" way too much
I've tried a couple 20s and they're too narrow. I can get away with a 22" if needed.
I’ve been interested in this mat for sometime now.
Thanks for checking it out!

I always leave the stuff sack behind. Extra weight and things to fuss with in my opinion

Hi Samantha Hi Sarah 😊
Howdy to you too!
I used a closed cell mat and it’s also lightweight. Pretty comfy
They are a great lightweight option!
Looks comfy.
Thanks for the comment
Looks like it would be warm. Is it hard to inflate? I mean does it take a long time to blow it up?
About 25 or 30 breaths not too ong at all.
How is it holding up? Is yours the insulated or non-insulated version?

So would this mate be best suited for car camping or for backpacking. It looks a bit big for backpacking’
I've used it for both but I purchased it primarily for backpacking.
What is the coldest temperature you’ve been able to use this mat at and still be comfrotable?
I've used it into the 30s and 20s with no problems with a 20 degree down bag and a bag liner.
Is this a quiet mat to sleep on?
Noise will not be an issue. It's very quite unlike some other insulated mats with metallic reflective layers! Thanks for the comment!
@@LoneCrowAdventures Yea we want to see you laying on it rolling it around to see how loud it is. This is a main concern of people.

@@LoneCrowAdventures ok cool thanks for the info.
I like it cause its wider. Worth the extra weight.
Yes I do not like a 20" mat because I'm not a side sleeper.
Nice mat. Would it work well in my hammock?
