The set is crazy ! I visited the set 2 years ago and Lena's office is also the classroom.
Luis Larios oh where did you visit that set? 2yrs ago I was lucky enough to go on the House set at Warner Bros. stage 22 but was curious where like the upstairs was and everything else.
scanman18 they only showed us the school. So we saw the one classroom that's also the office and their really small hallway with no roof. And they've had the same posters up since the start of the show
I saw the set too last year and the kitchen had no ceiling with like massive equipment on the top. Lol I loved the fake grass tho

IKR when I saw him, I recognized him as being trans because he always play a trans character. They should have more famous trans without them being dragqueens.

To be fair, I knew the actors for Callie, Brandon and Jesus were from Disney so it wasn't that surprising. I almost laughed at the reason Jake T Austin was replaced was because of him wanting to pursue other acting roles when the real reason was that he was fired.
Bri Jay its reported that he was HORRIBLE behind the scenes. He was constantly late, was rude, and didn't get along with the cast etc. But this is all that was said, i don't know if theres any evidence of it. But Jake himself says he chose to leave because he didnt want to play a teenager anymore.

I feel like the fact that TV sets aren't real houses/buildings isn't a surprising fact? Like duh, they don't film in an actual house, and no, they don't cart the actors, tech, crew, props, and costumes all over town to film in different locations...

Sammy Lane brandon jude mariana and callie will all be living in LA. I do hope that they appear as a guest star or smth and with the whole family too maybe for thanksgiving/christmas episode. From what i read on imdb, brandon will be in 2 episodes and jude will be in 1 episode.

Just my opinion but I am SO glad Noah became Jesus. If you go back, Jake wasn't a very good actor, and he could have NEVER done the TBI stuff like Noah!!!!

Honestly is no surprise for me that they didn't bother to look to ana ctor that knew how to play piano, they do stuff like this all the time; the worst case imo was Zac Efron that had to learn how to sing after starting HSM so isn his voice in the first movie. lol

AJ played a prince on "KC Undercover". And it makes sense that they all got their start on Disney, since Freeform/ABC Family/Fox Family is the sister channel to it.

I would've loved a trans jude so much more. I feel like that arc could've been a better fit character wise, show wise, and character development wise. Especially as far as the other children go.
Sometimes people forget that being accepting of gay people/ being gay doesn't automatically mean that people are accepting of trans individuals.
The process of him coming out to his family and even transitioning, would be very new to TV, especially with him being a main character.
I'm disappointed they didn't go in that direction.
Hello- trans representation is good but also when cis actors are used to tell this story it perpetuates the idea that trans people are just boys pretending to be girls or vice versa. I'm sure Hayden Byerly would have respected and honored the role but ultimately trans roles should be left to trans actors. I am glad the chose to give voice to the community by including trans talent such as Elliot Fletcher to tell the trans narrative instead.
Elliott Snow this is very true and I agree 100%. But to be honest, I wasn't even thinking about the actor, I was thinking of the storyline. Like Hayden didn't have to be the actor, you know?

I kind of wish Noah played Jesus originally. Jake legit couldn’t act and so many scenes were ruined because his lines were never delivered well. But Noah nailed it and could do both serious and comedic scenes

one thing I liked about the fosters, is how pretty much all of its featured trans characters were actually played by trans actors which gave a nice level of authenticity. now a cis person can of course play a trans character, it's called acting, but still

I think the reason why they named the show The Fosters is because the title in of itself is a pun. The family last name is Foster and they're a family that fosters kids.
It's a nice show even if some of the storylines are kind of camp or cliche.
But what drives me absolutely nuts about this show:
They have Steph and Mike running around in their uniforms off duty.... without even a pistol.
