About The Fosters:
The Fosters is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. Stef Adams Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her wife, Lena Adams Foster, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef‚ biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon; their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus; and newly adopted siblings, Jude, and his half-sister, Callie. As the third season of The Fosters continues, former foster teen Callie is now officially adopted into the Adams Foster family. She must put aside any romantic feelings for Brandon and does so by throwing herself into her Fost and Found website, even drawing the interest of an investor. After his performance at Disney Hall, Brandon focuses his energy on his music, working with Mat on a musical for their senior project. Mariana relationship with Mat is still estranged, so she turns her attention toward running for junior class president. Jesus makes a friend who is into street racing and, at his prompting, questions Ana about his biological father. When Mike discovers a secret that his foster son AJ is keeping, he is torn about what to do with the information. Jude must face the fact that his boyfriend has decided to move away while a serious medical issue for Stef results in a clash of opinions between her wife, Lena, and her mother, Sharon. ok it's safe to say that this episode was a very good tear jerker. i I normally do not cry for any shows but The Fosters made me cry non stop. I really felt sorry for Mariana when no one would let her in and the way that Matt hugged her and Jesus stole my heart. Matt really wanted to let her in the classroom but the teacher had to follow protocols.

I never start to tear up until I see in the background that Jesus has noticed Mariana hugging Lena and Stef and bolts under the tape to get to Mariana, and the other three haven't noticed yet. And then the way he holds her like he's never going to let go for a minute.

What scared me the most and it wasn’t even in this clip was the fact that Mariana was locked out of each class room while everyone else was safe I liked how Callie and Brandon took charge of that one class room with the sub teacher and when everyone was reunited again that made me very happy I was afraid that they would have hospitalized Mariana or made Nick actually shoot her

He was a psychopath not sociopath, Sociopaths lack emotions, and as we saw Nick was hugely emotionally sensitive and scared from childhood experiences and as he said he doesn’t like surprises.

+Kalena Antone I hope this is something they continue throughout at least half of the full season. I really hate it when shows give you all of this anticipation for what seems to be a main theme, and the huge event ends within 2 episodes. If there's no emotional trauma between all of the main characters after this Nick situation, and they all go back to worrying about how Callie messed up in some way again, I might just give up on this show.

I love this series because it is very emotional. It touches your most sensitive fibers and teaches you to value your parents, we are very lucky to have them and most of us don't think about that very often

Am I the only one who's a little disturbed by how people care more about the love interests here than the actual family? They could have lost a part of their family, but who cares what they're feeling/doing when there are more important things to focus on like a high school relationship.
Sadly, that is how it has been for a few seasons now. It happens on so man Teen shows, which leaves me disappointed.
+Kyreem Powers I feel the same way. I had high hopes for this show because I love strong family elements in TV, but they've been dropping the ball in order to make way for teen romance. Life is more than romance and I hope both the writers and the fan base realize that, because this show isn't going to survive if they turn another nice family centered storyline into another Callie/Brandon (now Marianna/Matt) teen romance above all else.
GrinMonister I agree! Being a foster kid and now being adopted, I really related with a lot of the themes in the show. Some went too close to home, but it was nice to have a show that seemed to understand you at some level. I feel like the romance takes away from all of the wonderful themes the show provides. It does have a wonderful theme about family. I definitely agree!
I think the relationship is important if they're in love, but I wish there was even more emphasis on the family, especially with Jesus and Mariana. Nothing compares to having a brother. Nothing.

I've never really seen school shootings in movies or shows and now that the fosters have done it, I feel relieved. I'm happy that this is being made a reality in both fiction and reality. School shootings are serious and even though it is fiction, cases like these do happen.
